**What do you like best about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?**

I like the sourcing process in Sprout Social Influencer Marketing; it's great for finding influencers that align with the client's demographics, and I've liked it historically. The reporting features are fantastic, providing great visibility into campaign performance and allowing us to pull live monitoring of campaigns for instant updates. The platform also helps with brand safety by flagging potential risks, which is really helpful and speeds along the process of vetting influencers. We've been using the platform for a couple of years, and these aspects have consistently been valuable for us.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?**

I'm unhappy with the recent data changes and things being sampled. I don't love the content workflow approval because it alerts the influencer immediately, which isn't ideal when the client's comments are not complete. Also, I don't use the messaging feature much as it doesn’t provide full team visibility, even within organization logins. The recent need to authenticate for certain data points has been frustrating, especially early in sourcing when we aren't typically doing outreach yet because it feels like a waste of the influencers' time and we've had negative responses from people seeming to think it's a bit sketchy since we don't have the relationship yet. Additionally, the change from having a dedicated support rep to a shared support team hasn't been a positive shift.

This changed the game for our influencer marketing platforms, and let us truly bring influencer management in-house. We're no longer losing media dollars to a third party, because we have the right data and resources to educate ourselves and the client. I love that Sprout Social Influencer Marketing recently updated their platform with a new, fresh look. The AI features provide a wide range of metrics and information to review when I’m selecting influencers. I especially like the metrics that rate how well an influencer’s brand aligns with my brand, along with the one that flags any posts that could potentially be red flags. Together, these features make it very easy for me to vet influencers who could be a good fit for our brand.

I use this tool every time I need to research an influencer before deciding whether we could work with them. Even better, customer support makes it easy to get answers to all of my questions, with live chat support directly on the website and a wealth of help articles that help me solve any problems that may come up.

I am also super excited to try the new tool that Sprout Social Influencer Marketing just released called Recruit. This will allow my brand to create landing pages designed to attract and filter potential influencers.

I wish the search feature were a bit more advanced. I’d like to be able to search for multiple topics at once—for example, someone who speaks about Higher Education AND Business—instead of only being able to search one topic at a time. That kind of filtering would really help narrow my results and make it easier to find influencers who better connect with my target audience. Right now, I don't feel like I'm able to refine my search enough to receive valuable results.

One of the things I like best is how intuitive and easy the platform is to use. The interface is clean and straightforward, which makes it quick for our team to search, evaluate, and organize potential creators. The lookalike feature is especially valuable, it’s been a great way for us to discover new influencers who resemble creators we’ve already had success with in our program. I also appreciate how quickly you can view an influencer’s audience breakdown. Since our campaigns focus primarily on the U.S. market, having immediate access to geographic audience data makes it much easier to determine whether a creator is a good fit.

The team have excellent customer support, and take feedback well. The platform has a great large selection of global creators and stats on content which we use to analyse the best talent and campaign performance in reports. It's also very easy and intuitive to use the reporting features and research features, as well as competitor analysis.

The new AI interface takes some getting used to, but has been OK. Some improvements on the details of the discovery search and the speed at which we can work in this new UX is definitely needed, and feedback has been shared about some older features being brought back in as they were essential to the efficiency of working on the platform so we were not sure why they have been taken out.

I also appreciate how it lets us have different lists depending on what type of influencer we are trying to reach. Since we offer various products, we maintain about five lists in our Sprout account. Additionally, the initial setup was pretty easy because I had the opportunity to meet with training people from Sprout's end, which made it easier.

I wish it was easier to keep track of notes on each individual influencer. When I signed on I was told it was easier than it has turned out to be. I would love for there to actually be a notes area that could be in date order, instead of the form area that I currently have to use.

I love that Sprout Social Influencer Marketing makes it easier to find and verify creators for our campaigns, letting us see their audience and track outreach without needing thousands of emails. It simplifies the whole process compared to using spreadsheets. I like the creator discovery and vetting features, which speed up finding influencers that fit our campaigns. It used to take us days, but now we can pull a full list within an hour or two with all metrics in one place, making it much more scientific than going off gut instinct. Outreach in one spot is really nice too. The simple setup was also easier than building our own methods in spreadsheets.

Ultimately I think the creator search isn't perfect. We still need to double-check every now and then when the filters don't actually align for our very specific/niche campaigns. Some of the data is a bit surface level and you as a user need a nuanced understanding of the data to parse it well. The filtering could be more precise. I need, for example, Toronto-based creators whose audience is almost entirely located in Canada and who makes athletic content in the supplement space. The keyword tagging/matching doesn't always perfectly link. I think some of the audience and engagement data could go deeper. Things like engagement trends over time would be huge, whether this creator has been on the rise for a while, has hit their peak, or is falling. Especially audience quality, I need to flag clearer whether followers are fake or from giveaways.

It's very easy to use, and the data is pulled very quickly. It's also very intuitive, and even if a brand or influencer profile isn't in the system yet, it takes very little time to add it and start seeing insights rapidly. The initial setup was very easy for my team.

I think it could improve and add a specific section for the audience interests for some influencers. It would be great to know which are the interests of the people that follow a certain brand or a certain influencer so that we can justify our decision facing clients. I'm really grateful for the recruit system in Sprout Social Influencer Marketing. It's incredibly helpful to have a landing page where people can apply to work with us, and it serves as an always-on area where we can source influencers for future campaigns. I also like that Sprout has pretty good tracking features, allowing me to see all of the different posts during the given time frame as long as I set up my campaign properly. Additionally, I appreciate that Sprout's customer support is improved from what I experienced before.

I guess there's two things that I think could be better. One of them is when I'm building out the campaign, there's a bunch of little things you have to do, and it isn't clear what the influencers are able to see on their end. I would really appreciate more clarity on that front. The other area is sourcing influencers. I know Sprout Social Influencer Marketing advertises a lot of capabilities, but using the platform hasn't been beneficial for me. I find that 99% of sourcing is manual on my own, and the search capabilities aren't super successful for sourcing influencers directly from the platform.

I like that I can have all of the projects and content in one place, which makes it easy to track year over year and month over month performance. It helps me see who's performing well and who's not, providing better insights into how content is performing. Also, I think the tracking capabilities are really strong.

I know it's a bit of a struggle with some of the data you're allowed to give us, but I wish there was a little more ability to download reports on views and engagements into a spreadsheet so I can organize it more effectively. I really like the visual component where I can see the creators' top posts, and that it links me to their platform accounts. This makes it easy to compare creators and see their full profiles. I also find it valuable that I don't have to manually look up the creators' usernames on the platform; I can just click into the platform icon on their Sprout page and review their content in full. Additionally, the initial setup of Sprout Social Influencer Marketing was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?**

I don't like that the API token access for Sprout Social Influencer Marketing is restricted to a different paid tier. I am already on a paid tier but don't get access to the API token. If I want to automate certain data pulls from Sprout's platform I'm unable to without that access and that is massively annoying. Were I to have access to this, it would be a huge productivity unlock for my team and we would increase our reliance on Sprout itself.

I like the creator search. It's easier than some other platforms to describe the creators I'm looking for and actually get good results. It makes casting easier!

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?**

There are a lot of glitches which make it hard for things to save. For example, when I update one filter in the template preview in campaigns (after already saving), it reverts all other filters back to the start and I need to reinput those. We need to be able to edit the collaborator view to show audience demos from specific platforms, and not just Instagram. For example, if I'm running a TikTok only campaign, then I need to show the TikTok Demos. There needs to be a way to turn off email notifications for creators. Each move, such as adding a deliverable to the creator, sends them a separate email and this is not good. It would be great to be able to add bios/rationale to creators in campaign view instead of needing to add myself as a collaborator and then use the comment section for this. We need to be able to separate creative review rounds, instead of all comments from everyone being in the same place, as we usually have multiple rounds of review before assets can get approved. I'm unable to edit or delete comments once they are added, and sometimes there's a comment I need to delete from myself because of a typo or something else I need to fix.

The Brand Fit Score makes it really easy to build out different target audience segments and customize interests and keywords, which helps narrow in on creators who actually make sense for the brand. Then the One-Sheet Builder pulls everything together by packaging a creator’s analytics, background, and key callouts into a clean, client-ready PDF, which saves a ton of time!

One thing that can be a bit tricky is the filtering especially when it comes to creator and audience locations. It sometimes takes a little finagling to get the results you’re looking for, but once you start playing around with keywords and refining the filters, it usually gets you where you need to go. I also wish Sprout Social Influencer Marketing had a Salesforce integration. Our website does not use Shopify.

I think Sprout Social Influencer Marketing offers a lot of options to help us find brand partners and creators for specific campaigns. It's really helpful that when they are part of the creator hub, we can see their post analytics without having to ask for them manually, which is something we were doing before. Additionally, the UTM click tracking is a really helpful feature because before we used to create UTMs through an Adobe interface, which took extra time. So, essentially, Sprout helps streamline our process and makes things quicker from start to finish.

Some of the tracking pieces are not quite as intuitive to use. When we were initially looking at UTM creations, those fields were not very straightforward for people that did not have coding experience. When you go in to create a link that redirects to a different web page, there are multiple fields that I think are for vanity URL creation, and our team could not figure out how to update those fields or use them to create vanity URLs. We just kept getting error messages. The setup was easy, but it was more difficult for our team to only use the two seats since we paid by seat, and our social team is more than two people, so we have to take turns using the seats.

We have a very specific target audience and demographic we want to reach so it's easy to go through, search for creators and find folks who have the engagement rate and audience make up that we're looking for. The platform is pretty intuitive and easy to use. It's been great to have internal Sprout partners and points of contact who want to help us through our work and help us better understand how to use the platform. We have build out a pretty extensive sensitivity content monitor which is very helpful when we are searching for new creators to work with.

I would really love if there was a way to filter creators based on where they indicate they are geographically. I also really dislike not being able to save creators I see into other lists if I have found them through the "more creators" portion of an already made creator list. Sometimes creators we find there are better suited for other creator lists we've created.

Sprout is solving the problem of having to guess a creator's audience demographic, if they've talked about something we don't want to be associated with and just helps with the ease of matching us with someone we want to work with. I like how easy it is to utilize Sprout Social Influencer Marketing, and I enjoy the wealth of information I am able to find within the platform. The analytics features, specifically the overview of an influencer's audience data and general ER, are very helpful when choosing which influencers to put forward for consideration for our campaigns. Additionally, I often utilize the campaign summary feature for pulling data for end-of-year recaps. The platform is really easy to get the hang of once you start using it, and the support team is fairly quick to respond and helpful.

I would really enjoy if you could organize your campaign folders a bit more extensively. For example, if we separate out by year, then by brand, then by campaign itself (example: 2026 folder -> 2026 Lincoln US, Lincoln CA, UniWorld, Volvo -> Within the Lincoln US folder we could organize additional campaigns). Additionally, if you could add a more in-depth brand fit score section to building out your One-sheet reports, that would be helpful when putting influencers forward for our clients to review. It would also be useful for us to have an AI sourcing feature, where you could input certain specific criteria like location, demographic type, and what they post (or using keywords) and it would pull a list for you. Just a few things I would utilize more. While the Sprout support team is fairly quick to respond and helpful, I do miss having an individual contact that was designated to managing our Sprout account as a whole.

I enjoy the key words. I like that it will recommend similar creators as the one you're looking at. I like how the social handles are hyper linked. I like the location filters.

The AI search isn't as refined as it could be. It will pull up things that are completely unrelated to what I'm searching for.

They are helping us present Influencer's engagement rates on recommendation decks and making the process of sourcing new creators much quicker.

I love how Sprout Social Influencer Marketing streamlines our processes and requires less manual work. The automated content monitoring and reporting are particularly valuable because they eliminate a lot of manual tasks we used to do. The initial setup was very easy, and we've mostly appreciated the continued updates to the platform.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social Influencer Marketing?**

Since the sourcing feature was updated, it is less easy to search for specific influencer niches. Additionally, sometimes the reporting metrics are not updated to match what we can see natively on social media platforms. This specifically reverts us to manual work compiling reporting.
