"Intuitive Reporting and Easy Exports for Detailed Performance Insights"
What do you like best about Tableau?

Navigating through each reporting section was very intuitive and helpful when I needed to find specific data. Whenever I needed a performance review on my end, I was able to dig into the details and export the data in the best way to build my reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Not related to the tool itself, but sometimes it takes time to load all the information in time, its mostly related to the data base in which the data was collected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tableau : Turn Complex Data into Easy Visuals"
What do you like best about Tableau?

What I like most about Tableau is how effortlessly it transforms complex datasets into visuals that are easy to interpret and act on. The drag-and-drop interface feels natural — you can explore data without writing a single line of code, yet still build highly customized dashboards when needed. I really appreciate how seamlessly it connects with different data sources like SQL, Excel, and cloud platforms, and allows you to blend them together in real time.

The interactivity in Tableau dashboards is a huge plus — you can filter, drill down, and visualize relationships instantly. It’s especially helpful for explaining insights to non-technical stakeholders since the visuals do most of the talking. Overall, it bridges the gap between technical data analysis and clear business communication beautifully. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Tableau is an incredibly powerful platform, but it does take some time and patience to master all of its features. The basics are straightforward, but once you start getting into calculated fields, data blending, or parameter actions, the learning curve becomes noticeable. I’ve also found that when working with very large datasets or multiple live data connections, performance can dip a bit — dashboards might take longer to load or refresh.

That said, these issues are minor compared to what Tableau offers overall. Once you understand how everything fits together, the flexibility, control, and visual quality of the dashboards easily outweigh the initial complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy visualizations for generating business insights"
What do you like best about Tableau?

I can say that it still one of the top performers when we talk about visualization and how easy is to creat great data visualizations. Just connect to your source, drag and drop and you have a nice viz. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

I don't like that the app can only be installed in Windows. There should be an option to install it in Linux environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifies Data Visualization with Interactive Insights"
What do you like best about Tableau?

I use Tableau for data visualization, tracking key metrics, and gaining actionable insights through interactive dashboards, which makes data analysis simple and impactful. Tableau's standout feature for me is its simplicity combined with powerful analytics. The drag-and-drop functionality makes it very intuitive and saves a lot of time for building charts and dashboards without writing complex code. Interactive dashboards add a lot of value because they allow users to filter, drill down, and explore data in real-time, which helps uncover deeper insights. The wide range of visualization options makes it easier to choose the most effective way to present data. I also enjoy how easily Tableau integrates with different data sources and how smoothly it handles large datasets. Its interactive dashboards and sharing options make collaboration simple and efficient. Tableau's flexibility in visualization options, smoother dashboards, and better performance when working with complex datasets were key reasons our team switched to it from other tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

One area of improvement is the learning curve associated with advanced calculations and dashboard optimization. Handling extremely large data sets can sometimes impact performance. Better built-in optimization tools and simple explanations for advanced features would make Tableau even more user-friendly. Improvements like better automatic query optimization, faster dashboard loading times, and more transparent performance monitoring tools would greatly enhance the experience. Finally, better version control and collaboration features within the platform would be helpful when multiple users are working on the same dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful and comprehensive data visualisation"
What do you like best about Tableau?

See we work with Enterrpise customer across the globe. Tableau has been a helping tool in these ways

1. We are able to easily understand the customer API consumption and services, via graph and simple bar charts.

2. It is helpful for both pre sales and post sales team to understand the current oppertunity status and contract utilization

3. It also helps us to create dahsboard, without much of coding, which is cool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Has a Tableau user from almost a year now.

1. The rendering of page takes time, UI response is really slow.

2. Performance slows down, understanding it has to work with lots of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Analytics with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about Tableau?

I use Tableau for user analytics, observing my customers' usage data and other analytics like custom reports for data analysis to make product decisions. It has comprehensive data analytics tools that help me easily visualize data and make informed decisions, as well as export the data to Excel or images. The smart user management with great user-based access control makes it easy for different personas to use reports. I like the advanced charts that help in complex data analysis. The editor mode lets us preview the analysis before publishing, and the data models help with most of the SQL crunching and data aspects, making it easy to analyze and prepare data models. I appreciate the time-saving aspect and ease of use with the drag-and-drop editor, which reduces TAT for analytics teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

The aspect ratio of the charts in different screens is not adjusted correctly, so what's built on one screen fitting well doesn't look nice on smaller screens and different resolution screens. The charts have to be adjusted again to fit the screen sizes of the stakeholders. An auto-adjustment of these dashboards with respect to the screen sizes would help. Also, we have to manually run data models for our dashboards, and auto-run comes on higher plans, which makes us dedicate a resource to run these. In case of missing it, it results in no updating of the data. The initial setup of Tableau is of medium complexity and requires some knowledge of setting up database connections and securely accessing data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhances Business Insights with Effortless Usability"
What do you like best about Tableau?

I find Tableau to be a great tool for meeting the reporting requirements of our business. The user interface is tremendously helpful, making it easy to bring in all the dimensions and facts related to our business, and it's really easy to use for developers. The charts and reports we create with Tableau have been able to provide great insights for the businesses we consult for, such as business growth, areas for improvement, and where the business is excelling. The ease of importing dimensions and tables into Tableau makes it straightforward to arrange data hierarchically, which is a valuable feature for us. Also, the initial setup was smooth, allowing us to onboard everything efficiently. I'd say Tableau has been a wonderful tool, enabling our organization to provide insightful trends and business analysis to grow. I would recommend it nine out of 10 because it's an incredible tool that improves daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

I would say if Tableau could help us integrate our live data. If there is any functionality to integrate the live data and to populate the dashboards and reports based upon that live transactions that are happening into the database in real time. Would be a very helpful feature for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transforms Data into Clear Insights, Minor Setup Challenges"
What do you like best about Tableau?

What I like most about Tableau is how easily it turns complex data into clear, interactive visuals. The drag-and-drop interface, highly interactive dashboards, and ability to connect to multiple data sources make analysis fast and intuitive. It stands out for its strong data storytelling, smooth performance with large datasets, and the flexibility to explore data without heavy coding. Drag-and-drop interface lets me build dashboards quickly without writing code, letting me focus on understanding the data rather than preparing it. Interactive dashboards with filters, drill-downs, and hover actions make it easy to explore data in real time and answer follow-up questions instantly. Tableau helps present insights in a clear, visual narrative, making complex findings easy to explain to non-technical stakeholders. Overall, these features save time, improve clarity, and help turn data into actionable decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

I find the licensing costs high, which can be tough for small teams or individual users. There's a steeper learning curve for advanced features like calculated fields, LOD expressions, and complex dashboards, which take some time to master. I think Tableau could improve its pricing clarity, built-in data preparation, version control, and mobile dashboard performance. Clearer error messages would also make troubleshooting easier. "Simplified Data Visualization with Powerful Features"
What do you like best about Tableau?

I use Tableau mainly for data visualization and data analysis, and it helps me turn raw data into interactive dashboards and reports. I find that Tableau solves the problem of understanding complex and large datasets by converting data into visual dashboards, making analysis much faster and easier. What I like most about Tableau is its ease of use combined with powerful visualization capabilities. The drag-and-drop interface makes it simple to create interactive charts and dashboards, even without advanced technical skills. Tableau works especially well because it scales with your skill level, so you can start simple and gradually use more advanced features as needed. The initial setup was fairly easy and straightforward, especially for basic use, and it integrates well with other software, which makes the overall analytics workflow much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

While Tableau excels at visualization, improvements in pricing, data preparation, and performance optimization would make it even more user-friendly and accessible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
