**What do you like best about Syspro?**

It has a fairly complete report issuance system, providing the information we want to be displayed, and its designs are customizable, managing to issue reports with unique designs if we so desire. The software has a fairly intuitive and easy-to-use interface design, so navigation through its options is quite simple to perform, on the other hand, it is a multiplatform system which allows us to use it from different devices, both mobile and mobile. desk. In addition, it has the option of integrating with third-party applications, which further extends the different functionalities that this system offers. The support team is quite effective in responding to our requirements, successfully solving the problems that arose during its use.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

If you do not keep up to date with the latest updates (use the latest version of the software), you will not be able to use all the functions that it offers and you may even be limited to some of the existing ones.

We use it in our company as a support system for the management of the company's resources, in this way we were able to innovate in our decision-making process and carry out the actions that had to be carried out within the institution in a way that objective and backed by the results obtained through this wonderful system, once this was done, the company simply improved constantly compared to how it was initially, this system is definitely an excellent tool for business owners if they want to carry out in a practical way and simply an improvement in any process carried out by the institution.

The fact that Syspro has something to handle any situation.  The ability to customize to my needs. From the built in triggers, automation processing, and vb scripting capabilities makes if the perfect fit for my company.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

The limit of 10 custom fields on their customizable documents.  We have a lot of custom fields and it would be nice to have an easier way to get them on Invoices and Delivery notes.

Worth checking out.  A lot of modules and scale-able for any business.

Automatic payments via wire transfer and EFT.  Inventory control and barcode automation.  Plus the amount of checks and error correction on order entry with our customized scripts.

Syspro works well in our multi-site company, even with multiple companies. We like the flexibility the SQL backend gives for customizations and integrations with other software. It is easy for our users to use.

I wish it had a formulation module for our chemists. Sometimes issues do not get resolved as quickly as I would like.

Simple to use interface, well documented. Has all the major functions of a modern ERP system at an affordable price. We have used and grown with the system over the last 20 years and continually used to keep improving.

Support is hard at times from CA or South Africa. However, this has gotten better recently and they are able to leverage their global talent pool in addressing most common business challenges.

**What do you like best about Syspro?**

The best thing about Syspro is that it allows your company to be itself. The program is rigid enough to ensure that all best business practices are covered and yet the range of customization available is amazing. Syspro really allows itself to be tailored to the way you run your business without a ton of workarounds. Custom form fields and an intuitive collaboration with crystal reports open the doors to make it your own.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

The main downside that we have with Syspro remains the character limits. Syspro 7 really expanded on them, but we are description reliant in a heavy way. The other issue we have currently is that the product configurator can be time-consuming as we try to set up our configurators and we actually preferred the way it worked in 6 better.

Meet with an implementation team. Do a JAD.

**What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Syspro, we used Oracle. Oracle was severely outdated as far as UI and in order to make it work for us, we had to maintain many custom scripts. We ended up having errors and system failures almost on a daily basis which were expensive to fix and caused too much disruption to the workflow. Syspro worked like a champ, the UI is intuitive, and the system is stable and reliable.

**What do you like best about Syspro?**

The best part about SYSPRO (as a software developer), is the business object structure made available for creating custom applications to interface with SYSPRO. This gives us developers the ability to be creative and give our end users exactly what they need. Another great feature of SYSPRO itself, is the level of customization you can provide for the end users. It really allows you to give the users a complete unique look if they like, or a standardized look across the board. Very granular in many ways from interface look and feel, down to security and permissions. Also, we can't wait to use SYSPRO 8 and have it available in the web. This will really change things for IT, for the better!

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

There are not too many features of SYSPRO that we dislike, so this is a hard question. Two things that have proven to be a challenge at times are reporting and printing, but this is being changed and enhanced in the new version.

Having an in-house developer(s) for your business and utilizing SYSPROs available methods of interacting with the data, you will be sure to meet your needs to your liking. 

**What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving many different problems by using SYSPRO and keeping it as the center for our business. From collecting inventory values, to time on jobs, these are the daily issues we have solved by using SYSPRO. From these 2 issues I have listed, this has allowed us to accurately price items, which helps us as a company to continue saving money as well as order materials we need in a timely fashion. We have a custom made order entry system (as well as other applications) that interface with SYSPRO, and by using business objects, we are able to push and pull data in and out of SYSPRO consistently and accurately.

Syspro took on an amazing industry challenge when we first met 18 years ago. (Thank you Gavin) They custom built an industry specific module MYS (Material Yield System) saving our inside sales hours of manual calculations a day, increasing accuracy and maximizing current inventory. The best and most under advertised benefit was the customization never took us outside of the core product allowing us to stay current on all upgrades.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

There is nothing we dislike about Syspro. All reasonable enhancements have been added to standard Syspro.

**Recommendations to others considering Syspro:**

Really understand the benefits of Syspro trigger points and fully utilize the development team without ending up with a totally customized ERP. It is such an unadvertised benefit that no other company offers.  

**What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Poor yield calculations, not utilizing current inventory. MYS was a game changer for us
2. We needed an enhanced way to maximize our AR collection. We worked with the development team and helped create the Credit Management Review Module.

**What do you like best about Syspro?**

We appreciate the ability to customize screens and layout, and in the same regard, the screens in the different modules all function similarly.  This makes it easier to train users and to learn new modules.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

My least favorite thing about Syspro is how the main screen will not stay in the background.  I often have Excel open, but when I click back in  module window, Excel is hidden behind the main window.  On a larger scale - we are unable to price by warehouse so we have to maintain customer pricing manually (thus the need for Excel).

**Recommendations to others considering Syspro:**

Find a good, trustworthy reseller for guidance, or make sure you develop a relationship with SYSPRO support.  Not all answers can be found in help menus or through documentation...somethings, you just have to know.

**What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

G/L account reconciliation is much faster and more accurate than our previous system.  Love the xml financial statements

My favorite part of the Syspro system is that it is a complete package. Everything that I may want or need is included in the system. From report writing to order processing, I can do everything that I may need in Syspro. I know that I am just scratching the surface with the system as well. There are endless possibilities with the Syspro system.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

The only downside that I can think of is when too many people within our organization are using Syspro at once and it runs a little slower. This may be something that we can upgrade as a company but I am not too sure!

The UI makes it a breeze to keep track of any inventory. My products travel all over the country, so I never have to worry about where things are. Whether things are in my warehouse or out on location, i always have the needed information at my finger tips.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

There is still plenty I don't know how to do in SYSPRO, and I feel like I cannot learn it simply by using the program. There are a lot of tabs that can be a bit overwhelming at times. The tutorials where helpful to a point, but I could use more in depth help.

**What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had a few issues when i was trying to learn how to handle accounts receivable. Again it was more that it was new to me, but i eventually picked up what needed to be done because SYSPRO laid it out in a fairly easy to understand way.

**What do you like best about Syspro?**

Our company is in metal machining and fabrication. We work on large contracts for months or even years at a time many large corporations across the globe. One of the best features of SYSPRO that we love is the ease of tracking our "Work in Progress". The reports give us the best view of our projected costs and accrues totals on material and labor in real time as entered. It really helps us to make well informed decisions on a daily basis related to monitoring efficiencies and controlling costs. Many of our clients also require frequent audits regarding our project costs and how the process is going. The WIP valuation report allows us to have a compact and organized professional looking view for our clients to see exactly where their money is going in order to match it up to the pricing that was quoted. This clarity helps us maintain our relationships with our clients as being a vendor they can trust to deliver both quality in our products as value and transparency in our pricing.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

Some of the integration features could be expanded to tie to other programs such as time keeping and payroll software in order to save time on manually entering labor and material costs into various projects. This may actually be available however I have never been able to figure it out. Maybe at conference!

**Recommendations to others considering Syspro:**

Worth the money!

**What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accurate labor and material cost tracking to projects, as well as the ability to easily tie our accounts payable to project costs as well (bill to jobs) via issue to job functions. Before using SYSPRO we had to do much of this manually in order to track our actual job cost to profit.
We have not yet, but would like to learn more about the project management functions available in syspro.

**What do you like best about Syspro?**

Our new software from Syspro has simplified our supply chain process dramatically. Everything we need is contained in the system. No more piles of paper. No more gaps in communication. We needed a software program that could do it all. Syspro's product does just that.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

The only downside we saw was that the integration process forced us to see how disorganized we were. There were so many pieces of the puzzle that were spread around the enterprise, it was difficult to bring them together. However we were better for it, once it was done.


**Recommendations to others considering Syspro:**

The best advice I can give is to make sure you have a team from all the departments in the implementation group. Syspro software can do a lot. Everyone can learn and grow from the process.

Where do I start? Our purchase orders are standardized now. Our inventory is accurate and we get real time numbers. Our customer database is easy to access. Production scheduling is more efficient. Forecasting is a breeze. And the accounting department loves the way we can track customers from order to billing.

**What do you like best about Syspro?**

Flexibility of the product to adapt to our industry by using the custom fields. I also like the ability to have multiple routes.
Quantum is fantastic for uploading mass amounts of data and we couldn't have cleaned up our BOM structures without it.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

The lack of shipping processes that allow us to define a shipment with multiple sales orders and or customers.
The total lack of ability to generate daily cycle counts.
We have Yields and MRP doesn't like when we don't hit our exact job release qty and generates false resupply messages.

**What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using quantum to update our BOM structures. We also went through a warehouse consolidation and Quantum allowed us to to do this over a weekend without losing any shipping days.

SYSPRO made it very easy to use for my users. I like Inventory and BOM Modules

Some times SYSPRO doesn't write the required fields in financial tables. This make our Job little bit hard to figure what went wrong in case of any issue.

I think this ERP system is best for Manufacturing industry. We as a manufacturing industry are very happy with this system and we don't see ourselves moving out of this system.

SYSPRO is a very powerful and robust ERP platform that allows the end users to set it up in whatever way best addresses their needs. Beyond the initial setup options, SYSPRO also allows for extensive customization and integration with other software applications.

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

I often find the help files built into the software to be lacking in clarity or depth. Some additional modules are required to handle aspects of your business which seem like they should have been a part of the core product. (example: Return to Vendor should have been a feature included in the Purchase order module, but these are currently sold as two separate packages.

**Recommendations to others considering Syspro:**

Initial setup options and data integrity are key components to the successful implementation of SYSPRO or any ERP system. It is important to understand what your business needs are and explore the various options available in the software to help you achieve your goals. SSPRO can be applied to many types of business models, from simple distribution to custom manufacturing. It is not a plug and play platform where you simply install the software and you're off and running, Define a solid business plan and consult with a SYSPRO implementation consultant to help determine what settings and processes in SYSPRO will best suit your needs.

We are creating jobs for our manufacturing projects and tracking material and labor consumption through them. We also use SYSPRO for sales, purchasing, accounting, inventory and bills of materials among other things. It has allowed us the tools to streamline many of our processes and maintains transaction data to assist us in reporting on and analyzing business trends.

I like the feature rich availability of complex configurations, available via toggles and easy to understand configurations.  This ERP seems to be the very most configurable system I have ever worked without paying developers to enhance for any customer scenario

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

I don't like that personalization settings, at a user level cannot be locked down.  Some companies want to standardize every element of a user experience, and these settings that are missing from role configuration, stored at a user level, are still at the choice of the user, or the expense of the IT organization.  I dislike the fact that Syspro native only has one contact field... requiring your contact management, or other utility which isn't perfectly integrated in support of order fulfillment and lifecycle.

**What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Syspro has solved many problems for the companies I have worked. For Medsafe, Syspro has solved our need for integration between a complex low dollar, high shipment volume inventory system, with an accurate back-end accounting environment, which were previously separate.

It also have forums that offer support to users in case of problems, which I find very informative.

As a user you cannot really troubleshoot if you encounter problems, you need guidance from the support team. Of which there should be a basic troubleshooting guide for each user depending on their role.

Ease of access to Data. I write a lot of internal and external portal Websites and having access to data for statistical and reporting purposes is very helpful. I also like the wide range of third party modules that allow Syspro to be expanded in a variety of ways.

If I HAD to pick something, the only thing I would say is I'd like it to be cheaper, but if you asked me if it is worth the cost, then the answer would also have to be  yes....

check out the way you are able to do customizations using the "Trigger Point" system.  You can customize, but still stay up to date with the most recent core system updates.

We made the decision to go with Syspro about 18 years ago and we always say that it was definitely one of the best decisions we ever made and if we had to do it all over again we would do it without hesitation.  We have been able to grow the company almost 4-fold over those 15 years and we have been able to do that with the same staff that we had when we started.  We just keep realizing efficiencies in the software and leveraging it to be able to grow sales and the bottom line without growing overhead.

The interface is cumbersome, requiring so many clicks through different windows, sometimes to view basic information like invoice or sales order totals. Reporting is also poor, so we rely heavily on SSMS queries to pull data out of the system.

From my perspective, looking at and analyzing data is made so much easier by using SQL queries to draw, filter real-time data from the Syspro underlying tables.

I find Syspro is poor at canned report and exporting data from these reports into tools like excel. In all cases, there is too much manipulation required to get a usable format coming from these reports. Hence, my extensive use to direct SQL queries.

**Recommendations to others considering Syspro:**

To be able to leverage Syspro to your advantage, make sure you invest in training on the system. Develop at least 2 in-house experts on the system.

We are moving from zero manufacturing data analysis to material variance analysis by job. We are using the stock take system to identify chronic inaccuracies in inventory and closing the gaps.  Currently, we are working at implementing the Mfg Ops Mgmt (MOM) module for scheduling jobs.

Syspro brings top technology to the lower cost scale needed for the small to medium businesses. It's also very flexible and easy to customize. 

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

It can be glitchy at times without a proper way to assign root cause or replicability of the problems. Also the multiple connection points between subledger and GL is prone to leave journals "hanging" which is an accountant nightmare.

Make sure to get your processes aligned before you go live, it can be painful to do after.

Syspro is our core system although its not our corporation system of record. We've managed to integrate multiple disparate systems into it while keeping the process flexibility. We love the idea that Syspro is bringing more of the lat mile solutions into the application allowing further integration.

I like the interface of the SYSPRO client since it provides a user-friendly environment.  It makes it easy for a new user to learn how to use SYSPRO.  Additionally, this makes it easier on the trainer to walk a beginning SYSPRO user through the features used within our Sales Department.  

**What do you dislike about Syspro?**

There are a few bugs within SYSPRO, such as the Quotation module that has not been fixed.  We tried the Expresso, which suppose to allow us to use mobile devices to login into SYSPRO.  We found problems when logging in and cause our SYSPRO Server to crash.

We use SYSPRO for inventory control. It allows our company to easily organized the products that we sell.

Easy to learn and easy to use.  Many queries automatically download into Excel.  Very little difficulty balancing sub-ledgers to general ledger at the end of the month.  Can handle complex workflows.  And one more thing is that the software is constantly being upgraded with new features.

I just wish the financial reports would download into excel and I could upload a reversing journal entry.

The customer service leaves a lot to be desired.  If you do hit a glitch or a problem it can be almost impossible to get someone to help with a resolution
