Ask Suzy generates excellent insights for sale presentations, allows real-time feedback on innovation concepts and is quick, intuitive and straightforward to program and use.

It can take a small amount of time to make sure you're getting targeting and retargeting set up - but the support team and account managers are exceptionally helpful as you work through how to use Ask Suzy

I have used Ask Suzy to narrow down innovation concepts; look at purchase intent on new products; and understand occasion based marketing opportunities for established brands.

**What do you like best about Suzy?**

I love the ease and simplicity of the tool. It's made it super easy for us to access respondents almost instantly. I think it's an absolute must-have for any primary market researcher.


The support that comes with is really great too. Meghan was incredibly helpful all throughout the year. It feels like I have an extra person on my team for fielding these quick-turnaround research studies that often come in all at the same time. She's a big part of why we signed up with Suzy for 2021.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

I wish it was easier to upload visuals or videos for respondents to assess. The reporting feature was a bit clunky, but I know that's been improved recently.

There's also a bit of an issue with the sequencing of questions sometimes and we really have to think through how to best target certain respondents. I wish there were tutorials on the best methods to run a research study based on what we're looking to learn.

**Recommendations to others considering Suzy:**

This is a must-have tool for any and all primary market researchers. It makes our work so much more valuable for the larger organization.

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're solving simple everyday questions like do customers prefer option A or option B - things that don't warrant or can't wait for a full research study. 

Suzy is a great way to quickly check things before launching them into the market, and since it's so fast and convenient, there's no reason to not do this. We have a variety of question types at our disposal and feel empowered to use this tool more frequently in the years ahead.

**What do you like best about Suzy?**

There are two things amazing about Suzy. First the is SaaS solution, being able to get data about your consumers in less than a day is absolutely amazing. I cannot tell you how many times I had a burning question only to find out I would need to wait 6-8 weeks to design a questionnaire, field it, get results and have them analyzed. By the time all that is done the question is no longer burning, it is just a pile of ash. With Suzy those burning questions can be answered in the moment, while the questions is still burning, which is amazing. 

Second the team at Suzy is top notch, from sales to support, to tech, to ops and everywhere in-between; Suzy is staffed with passionate, dedicated, and genuinely stand up human beings who stop at nothing to make sure you have an amazing experience with the platform.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

There are a lot of add ons to the platform that come with incremental costs. Like incorporating a custom typing tool, which would be great to eventually be baked into the true cost of the platform. 

The cost for qualitative research is also above market value, it would be great for Suzy to find a way to adjust their rates to reflect costs from companies like Fieldwork.

Talk to a Suzy expert right away and start using this platform. Your business wil thank you.

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have just started using Suzy but already it has helped us wit the following. 

1. Innovation strategy and decision making. We had endless internal debates on what flavors to prioritize for 2021 innovation, so we ended up putting the question into Suzy and the results have us the clarity we had been seeking for weeks. 

2. Custom research for customer meetings. In advance of some key customer meetings our sales team had a desire to get some bespoke questions answered to help with their sales pitch. So we threw the questions into Suzy and Bam! We had some amazing slides and info that really dazzled during that customer meeting.

The ability to micro-target a specific group of people with a targeting question and then use that audience to ask specific questions.

Pressing that LAUNCH SURVEY button after checking my questions a million times and later STILL finding I'd made a mistake!

Gain consumer insights on topics that will help us improve our product. It has also helped us create unique content to use for content marketing. The media love statistics! :-)

**What do you like best about Suzy?**

Suzy provided us with a level of insight that we didn't have previously. By using Suzy we are able to validate our assumptions and hear first hand from our consumers. The platform is extremely intuitive and easy to use. For general questions we will get hundreds of responses in a matter of minutes. Even with more targeted questions we can reach thousands in a few days. I've also been extremely impressed with the quality of responses. I can tell that the respondents thought through their answers and didn't click randomly!

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

Not a lot! I think being able to access different types of questions (ie rank, scale, grid) would be helpful. Also a way to easily cross reference the answers from two separate questions. It would also be great to have more open ended questions, although the multiple choice have been extremely helpful

**Recommendations to others considering Suzy:**

Attend one of their webinars! That's really what sold me on the platform

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Initially we were a little frozen and it took us a while to launch questions because we didn't want to "waste" them. At the end of the day, we had to just get over that initial hurdle. I recently asked simple path to purchase and purchase intent questions which really resonated with our retail buyer! He asked for more information!

Suzy helps us glean insights and explore hypotheses quickly. 
Our account manager Meghan is smart, responsive, and always adds value in every conversation. 
In a short time, the tool has been improved in meaningful ways to enhance both the UX and utility.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

There are no specific downsides of note to mention. Anything that was frustrating before had to do with the UX and has already been proactively addressed by the developers at Suzy.

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are looking at shifts in consumer behavior, preferences, and reactions to our brands,  products, or creative. It allows us to have more informed creative development, and has made it possible to arm clients and creatives alike with data and insights direct from consumers.

Suzy is incredibly easy to use. Launching questions and targeting is simple. The support team on our account is wonderful. They're super responsive and happy to help with anything we need.

I dislike that there are significantly more females on the platform than males and that the max responses for a 50/50 split is 500.

Go through a demo with the team- they're very helpful and will launch your own questions for you to show you how to use the platform.

We're getting quick questions about our consumers answered without having to do long, expensive studies through research agencies. There's a huge benefit in time and efficiency not having to go through an agency and being able to connect to consumers immediately. We are able to re test things we haven't for years and make sure our assumptions and knowled is up to date.

the quick *and I mean quick* feedback, the easy launching online system, ability to easily add stimuli to questions, large sample sizes, variety of consumers across the US. the beta version of the suzy live was also great and was a great tool during the pandemic when we were unable to host in person consumer testing and focus groups.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

sometimes the rapid response time especially for open ended doesn't have the robustness needed - but easily remedied with surveys, more specific recruitment

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Given the current climate and things changing daily, it's been great to be able to understand changes in consumer preferences overtime. A huge benefit has been being able to reach consumers in their homes, especially for the 1-on-1 capabilities to get live feedback through interviews with consumers while we are unable to meet for in person focus groups.

**What do you like best about Suzy?**

Suzy is a tool that gives you access to immediate consumer results. By immediate I mean a fielding window of typically 1-2 days, maybe more depending on how much sample you want to deploy to. The sample size is always readable. It has all the basic question types you would need. Suzy has reduced the amount of assumptions we make internally as an organization. It's great for making quick gut-check decisions.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

Nothing too much to dislike. You get a lot of value for what you pay for. I would say if there is room for improvement, introducing new reporting tools would put the tool over the top.

**Recommendations to others considering Suzy:**

Suzy is great for really quick actionable insights. You can specifically target groups based on previous questions asked too.

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making assumptions can be dangerous when it comes to business decisions. Suzy eliminates many of the assumptions that we make. We use Suzy to get quick gut-checks around packaging design, product interest, awareness, and countless of other use cases.

Suzy is easy to use, the self serve nature is nice, and the standardized approach makes it turnkey. Also the results from questions come back fast (immediately, within minutes). Our customer success manage(s) have all been very nice and helpful. I think Suzy is best suited for large brands with lots of readily available users to provide statistically significant results.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

Offers data points, but no insights. The sample sizes are also very low and although they say they are statistically significant, we could never verify that as other data contradicted it. You are very much "own your own...the success team is quite limited as far as analysis and help goes. I wish that the account team was more hands on with the data and able to deliver actionable insights. We are not certain the data is 100% reflective of the markets, so we would like to have some deeper analytics done, but we dont seem to have been able to get to that point with our current package.

It's a good tool if you have limited budgets, need something fast and turnkey. However, if you are looking for something very specific you will likely need to upgrade to more advanced packages or leverage internal or third party resources for additional insight development.

We are getting basic data (survey questions) back from Suzy regarding our own brand as well as competitors to assist is with developing our brand positioning.

Since responses are sourced via Crowdtap, sometimes that platform attracts a certain demographic, making it harder to survey more niche communities.

Any gaps in consumer knowledge in regards to brand perception, social media usage, and more.

Suzy allows me to get accurate and real-time data pretty quickly. I love how easy it is to use.

Sometimes the data may be biased depending on what panelists take what questions/surveys you put out.

Suzy helps me find out all the answers to my questions. Whether it's a product launch, current consumers, retargeting to understand some panelists and why they have answered a specific question, etc...

**What do you like best about Suzy?**

I like that Suzy makes it super easy to get quick responses to questions that might otherwise take weeks, or might not happen at all. It's really simple to set up surveys and get responses back instantaneously. It streamlines the whole consumer insight process. We love it.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

I wish I didn't have to ask to have different types of questions exchanged for our allotted multiple choice questions. It can sometimes deter me from using the different survey types, because I don't want to have to send an email and wait for the response to be able to launch that type of question. I wish there was just a simple exchange process I could do from my account. I'd also like to see those exchange rates on the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Suzy:**

I recommend reviewing the results from Suzy with your team on a regular basis - and having a plan for what you do with the insights. It's easy to send out surveys and get data back, but the next step of putting those insights to use sometimes takes more effort. It's best to have a plan. The platform is great though - no recommendations on using Suzy itself.

We are getting all sorts of consumer insights that we wouldn't have - including packaging design, use cases, etc. We have also identified our key consumer segments and set up those audiences in Suzy, so we can ask those consumers directly.

**What do you like best about Suzy?**

Using Suzy is extremely easy and intuitive. I get results back quickly and the data has been useful in gaining insight into general consumer insights, as well as my own audience. The customer support team is always willing jump in and help when needed.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

I'm a fairly new user so I'm still getting the lay of the land, but some things I've noticed: I would like to have an option to set quotas, perhaps more logic options, and a way to combine duplicate screener questions I've had to launch more than once to achieve more sample.

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used Suzy a lot throughout the Pandemic to keep a finger on the pulse of the American consumer and how they feeling, behaving, etc. I use the data to inform a lot of pre-sale ideas/pitches to prospective business partners, especially to get at those specific targets that syndicated research doesn't typically measure/provide.

Suzy is a different kind of quantitative tool. It lets you get near real time responses. In the moment you need them most.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

Suzy has some limits in targeting. But in general has a pretty robust list of people you can isolate for quick surveys in a hurry.

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Suzy changes the way you think about surveys. It forces you to boil your key questions down to fewer BIG questions vs a list of small ones. This in itself is helpful to drive real insight.

**What do you like best about Suzy?**

The quick and ease of responses from a huge panel of consumers.  You can ask them anything from concept images to product liking.  New question features such as grids are a big plus and extremely useful.  The report feature is great as well as the customization of graphs to download.  The data cuts is very helpful and can be done with a few simple clicks.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

The photo responses are not the most reliable but they can be good for a quick read.

**Recommendations to others considering Suzy:**

If you are looking for a tool that can access a large amount of consumers in a short time period this is definitely a good option to pursue.

Being able to reach a large consumer base without conducting any external testing per say.  Concept testing or incidence check.

I like the speed and ease of the system of Suzy.

Limited functionality in terms of logic and survey creation, though they continue to innovate.

**Recommendations to others considering Suzy:**

Make sure you are clear with your organization on which business questions are best suited for Suzy and which ones require more robust techniques. If you train your stakeholders that everything can be done on Suzy it can become an issue when a question of higher risk that requires longer research techniques is suggested and the timing becomes unacceptable.

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving random, ad hoc questions that do not require a full-blown research project to solve. It allows us to optimize concepts quickly by getting feedback quickly on concept attributes.

**What do you like best about Suzy?**

Not only is the tool easy to use, but it’s quick. Super quick! You upload your questions that you want your audience to answer and you instantly get responses and feedback- within minutes! Also love how Suzy is self service, and I don’t have to rely on talking to or working with a salesperson.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

There are no downsides necessarily, however I have to manage the platform for my entire team and it would be easier if we could add job codes to each question so we can keep track of usage.

Once your company has access to the tool, everyone will want to use it!

We are talking to our target audience to validate creative ideas and insights

Speed of results and the ability to get any/all questions answered. No other service provides this level of flexibility and ease of use.

I'd like to be able to specifically target certain segments (like doctors) more easily.

Consumer research on nutritional supplements, otc drugs, and prescriptions drugs. We want to understand what consumers actually feel/think about products so we can create products that best align with their purchasing values.

Suzy helps us understand quickly what items have interest to a specific customers shoppers.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

I like to make the questions multiple choice and specific as possible.  Open ended questions seem to return less actionable insights.

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've successfully used Suzy to help develop and sell in item innovations particularly by better understand shoppers preference for packaging, flavors, etc.  It all is easily exported into a PPT ready deck.  Customers love the data!

The combination of speed of results and a very well designed interface.

While better than before, more export options would be nice. It would also be nice to delete studies from the library.

I use Suzy primarily for early new product concept work and naming work. A key benefit for me is the ability to iterate concepts very quickly,

I love that I receive insights almost immediately. I can ask a question and literally in minutes start to see answers come in.

I don't fully trust the quality of the answers so I use the data directionally. It is worth it for the speed, but it would be nice to have more confidence in the answers.

This is a fast, affordable tool to get insights on the fly. The data should be used directionally, but the speed and ease of use is unmatched.

We are using Suzy to build our shopper insights, learn more about our consumers and test innovation concepts.

Suzy is a great solution for getting fast answers from consumers on a broad-range of questions

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

It is difficult to ask a specific cohort of people more than 2-3 questions at once and easily loop the responses together.  It would also be nice if there were more qualitative options within the platform.

**What problems is Suzy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has been a great service for my stakeholders that have a few general questions that they need to move a business process forward.  This is especially true when there isn't budget or time to support a large study.

The SMB audience is a bit small and some of the verbatims need improvement.

I wouldn't say Suzy is solving problems. However, it's become an excellent tool for large sample survey questions.

Don't have to pay for sample.  Can save an audience and retarget them.

**What do you dislike about Suzy?**

The survey functionality is very limited compared to something like Qualtrics.  The dashboard is pretty basic as well.  It question conversions also drive me nuts - a grid question equals 5 questions and the max # of participants is limited if you gender split, etc.

We get iterative guidance on market sizing, white space, positioning direction.

The balance between offering a simple and easy to use tool while also maintaining a level of sophistication and rigor demanded by world-class insights professionals is indeed debated often internally. We believe market research needs to be democratized, but not at the expense of advanced functionality. All that being said, I think you will be quite pleased with some of the new product features we will be launching towards the end of Q1. Stay tuned and please keep the feedback coming.
