4 out of 5 Total Reviews for Studio.Design
I work as a web designer and know PSD, Illustrator, Figma, etc. Still I love studio.design. It is not the fastest or the most advanced tool, but it is quick.
My favourite part about Studio is the fact that it is designed specifications for websites, so a lot of tools, UI elements and more can be directly configured. In contrast, Illustrator and Figma are more generic, and don't carer to my needs.
I can decide whether I am making business site, individual site or what not. Furthermore, my favourite part is how it automatically optimises UI to match my needs (it offers tools for designers, engineers, marketers, and founders).
Another thing to love about Studio is multi-language. I am NOT a native English speaker, so in my experience it is ideal for my needs.
All the stuff is synced to my account, so I don't have to transfer files, when I commute between office and home. Adobe charges a lot for Creative Cloud, but this is free and completely on cloud, amazing.
Another thing that I really appreciate is previews. I can easily preview how my designed web UI looks on mobile, tablet, or desktop, through the device buttons at the top of screen. Super simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is suitable for those who want fast, cheap, and effortless tool. Still it lacks features for Pros like me.
Like for animations, I like to code the cas animations directly, but it doesn't have native support to add css code to elements, I felt this is stupid and could be improved.
Also, a disadvantage of it being completely web-based is the weaker load bearing capacity. Small pages work fine, but if I add more than 10 images, and 7-8 sections it would start lagging. That is partially down to my weak laptop specs, but still Illustrator comfortably handles this much load on my device, so I expect atleast the same if not better.
Therefore, it can be further optimized to improve performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
