What do you like best about Studio 3T?

What do you dislike about Studio 3T?

The only bad thing about Studio 3T is the cost. At a lower price point, we would love to purchase this product for more of our employees. We prefer it greatly over Mongo's own Compass tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Studio 3T?

Honestly, I cannot think of a single thing that I dislike about this tool. I have been using software tools for 40+ years, and that's very rare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Studio 3T:

There are several tools available for use with MongoDB, but most of those tools require you to be fairly proficient with MongoDB console commands. Studio 3T lends a hand in this area by displaying the commands in the various dialogs that are available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Studio 3T?

I use the copy collections feature to copy collections across databases and database servers. I love the power in the Aggregation Editor. We have to build complex aggregations and Studio 3T allows me to do that while testing pipeline stages effectively. I also like the IntelliShell feature for building utility scripts. Recommendations to others considering Studio 3T:

Studio 3T is the best tool that I have found for copying collections from database to database and from cluster to cluster. It is also the best tool that I have found for building and troubleshooting aggregations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Studio 3T solving and how is that benefiting you?

We manage > 200 MongoDB databases. We often need to copy collections from database to database or even across clusters and Studio 3T is the best tool for doing that. I have to build and troubleshoot insanely complex data aggregations and the Aggregation Editor is the best tool that I have come across for this purpose. Some of the aggregations have +40-50 pipeline stages. Studio 3T is up for that task too. We also have to build utility scripts for finding and transforming data issues regularly. What do you like best about Studio 3T?

I think Studio 3T combines the ability to have an intellishell in its UI but also handful features such as Query Builder and table view which makes easier even for non NoSQL developers to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think the UI itself would be better if were more cleaner. Right now you have tons of small little icons and everyone does something different. I would say that check all that is not so must used and then reduce the UI to be less things and more important stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Studio 3T?

Working with a local organisation with big ambitions but very limited means, i really appreciate the ability to retrieve, dump and query data using Studio 3T easily, even going so far to educate less technicaö users how to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Studio 3T?

i really wish that the UI was a bit more modern, and that certain elements like deleting and updating was given a bit more ux-love. for being a pretty expensive paid product, it feels pretty dated in the interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Studio 3T?

The best feature is the aggregation pipeline tool by far, being able to play the aggregation step by step is helpful to debug it, build it, or show different issues with the data to a colleague Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The face that we have to download a separate mongoshell in some cases, does not really makes sense but it happen only once per computer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Regarding your comment on the mongo shell, if you were referring to our current lack of bundled mongosh shell, we are releasing an update in approximately a month or so that should resolve this.
