My account was suddenly closed due to claims of "unauthorized payments," which were factually incorrect. There were only three transactions involved, all of which were authorized by the customers. Despite providing clear explanations and offering to verify with customer communications, my support tickets were automatically closed, and I received no meaningful follow-ups. Even worse, my customers’ refunds are now at risk due to this account closure, and there has been no assistance or clarity from Stripe's support team. The responses I did receive felt automated and dismissive, offering no real solutions. This has severely impacted my business and my customers' trust. I urge Stripe to take complaints and customer support issues more seriously. They actively aided and abetted a company who not only defrauded over 15 of my own clients, but are currently under investigation by the FTC. They, without notice, after 20 years of being in business and at least 5 years using Stripe, reclassified my business on the farudster's reccomendation and shut down my payments. Not only that, I had 1 refund request in 7 years and they withheld 10% of all trasactions for close to a year. If you want your money locked up and your business abused and payments shut down, definitely go with Stripe. The automatic billing and charge processes. The auto retry on payments that did not succeed on the first attempts. The ease of use. **What do you dislike about Stripe Payments?** Until now, all the feature performances have been satisfactory. **What problems is Stripe Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?** Stripe handles the programmed billing and charge processes that used to take lots of time prior to this type of app, which in turn allows me/us to focus on pother important parts of the business. ### 33. Plus I can easily setup clients on Stripe. **What do you dislike about Stripe Payments?** I've never had a problem with Stripe in the years I've been using it, other than when some person with too much time on their hands bombarded our payment page and some transactions (tiny amounts) were processed and I didn't get anywhere either technical support. That was the only problem I've had. **What problems is Stripe Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?** I don't have to deal with a merchant account from the bank and once I set it up, that's it. I can see details of a transaction, if a client payment was declined (with an error code). It helps troubleshoot my customer service with potential and current clients. ### 34. Their customer support is subpar in terms of knowledge of what is actually needed. The fact that they mislead people and customers to believe that they handle the PCI component for the merchant and users is a misrepresentation. All merchants need to be and go through PCI compliance. No feature of this dubious service is worth the enormous risks they pose by blocking your account without discussion or explanation of the reasons. **What do you dislike about Stripe Payments?** After two years of operation and receiving 140+ payments from major companies, these guys just blocked the account and froze all the money. The most disgusting part is their responses: we do not intend to explain anything, this decision is final, and there is nothing you can do about it. The fact that this service works at some point doesn't mean that they won't pull the rug out from under you at any moment, and there's nothing you can do about it except take them to court. The risks of using this dubious service are incomparable to its benefits. You will find hundreds of customer complaints about them, it's just not within your field of vision until it affects you. They just switched off support line to make difficult any connection w them.
