Stripe Invoicing is a terrific component of a confusing system. While the invoicing mechanics are flawless and the customer facing aspects of it are great, the backend support is awful when it can be found. To be fair, their setup and integration features are easy to use and they offer a ton of helpful features, but the lack of institutional support is impossible to ignore. Stripe offers very little in terms of support when it comes to disputes. Our first dispute was a substantial one in which Stripe offered us no opportunity whatsoever to defend ourselves with documentation, written communications, bank statements or any of the other myriad evidence which would have supported our side. Instead, Stripe caved to the power of a big-bank and attorneys are now involved. Would have expected some level of loyalty for the highest transaction fees in the game, but you live and learn. At times the platform can be a bit sluggish particularly when generating a number of invoices simultaneously. Moreover the range of customization options while extensive might seem overwhelming, for newcomers. It would be beneficial if Stripe offered a selection of designed templates to simplify the process.
