Stream's Chat API has been super helpful for Dealer-FX, making it easy our customers to connect and communicate better. We were able to build a really simple, but customized communication platform using Stream's flexible API that supports direct messaging and group chats. We're pretty happy with Stream and all the benefits it's brought to our operations, but we feel like we could be getting even more out of it. For the most part, it's been quite easy to implement Stream in our mobile apps and integrate with some associated internal services. It worked out-of-the-box for the vast majority of our needs, and it's been pretty flexible for some unique use cases in our business. Our team has encountered a couple bugs, both transparently in the SDK and more opaquely in the platform. For example, some unknown change in their platform caused images in our app to miss their CDN for an extended period of time. Their support/success managers are usually quick with an intial response, but often need to involve technical team members with, unsurpisingly, less expedient communication.
