What do you like best about Storylane?

I first started usinh Storylane a couple of years ago and it has since become one my the go to tools in my pmm tech stack.

-> I like how easy it is to create screenshot demos just by clicking around the product

-> They also let you show demos on mobile devices, and choose if you want to bypass the “screen too small” warning

-> I also like the GIF feature which I mainly use to add clickable tours to our PPT decks and onboarding emails

-> There's AI assisted translation too which comes in handy

-> They roll out new features constantly

-> It's very easy to get started + teach other people how to create tours Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

Nothing significant comes to mind, the product keeps getting better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane offers a user friendly way to build training and demonstration videos for perspective and current clients. Videos look professional and have proven to be much more efficient than any other video editor I have used in the past. This gives me the ability to provide more support to our clients. What do you dislike about Storylane?

The thorn in my side with Storylane at the moment is that you cannot add voiceovers to video clips. As of right now you can only add voiceover script to the flat slides. It would help a lot of the video clips could contain voiceovers as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

It's baffling how easy and fast it was to set up our first interactive demo's. I literally had my first demo's live within 2 days and got them embedded on our website. Next to marketing, Storylane became a powerhouse of a tool for our sales department as well.

By creating custom demo's for some of our Enterprise prospects, our sales team is able to show our prospects what our platform could look like in the prospect's branding/theming. The Account Reveal feature is also loved by our sales team to see who is interacting with the demo's on our website! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

Currently, it's possible to add a video to your interactive demo but miss some additional options to add a tooltip/modal on the video too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

Very straightforward to set up demos with step-by-step screenshots or videos and layer text on top of it. The ability to add multiple demos accessible from a single link is also useful for more complex product demos. Our tool is widely used by our Sales team to showcase our technology to clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

Storylane allows to copy demos and make edit to them to save time, but the process of removing "slides" on long demos is a bit painful.

The formatting options when embedding on our own website are a bit restricted, mobile screen are often enormous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

I love it that you can get a Guided demo flow in 'seconds' . it is really point and click, then add labels if you want to.

The interface was intuitive and I was able to create, edit and publish everything I wanted in no time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

The only thing I didn't like is that on my first try, being so SUPER EASY to record a demo, it let me go on for over 40 clicks! literally, in 3 minutes.

I later found out you cna edit, remove and re-arrange the flow and was easy to remove the unnecessary ones and get it to the 'just a handful of clicks'.

A comment I was doing a long flow would have been nice, but far from being a show stopper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane is a fantastic tool for onboarding and training, serving both internal teams and customers effectively. As a Product Manager, I appreciate how quick and easy it is to create feature demonstrations that clearly convey value. The interactive "click-and-experience" approach is a game-changer, especially in an era of short attention spans—it grabs attention and drives engagement much better than traditional video formats. This is particularly valuable for showcasing features and driving understanding during product demonstrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

We haven’t encountered any major roadblocks in gaining the value Storylane provides. However, one area for potential enhancement could be features that facilitate internal collaboration when creating demos. For example, having options for multiple team members to co-create or review demos in real-time would streamline the process and make it even more efficient. What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane makes creating interative demos so easy, with a Chrome extension that can take screenshots or all your clicks step by step.

It gives you just the right amount of options to not be lost but still have it look like you want and make your demo answer your use case, whether you use it for prospection, to enrich your website product page, or to be used by sales teams in meetings.

I also love their feature that lets you create several links for the same demo, so you can track what team uses your content for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

The only thing I see lacking would be something about multilingual demos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane allows my company to produce short, informative videos/tutorials either in a generic format, or tailored to our clients - to help them navigate our product and services. The ease of creating them is simple and annotating or editing does not take a large effort. Within a week we had 10 different options to trial with our clients and they were very well received. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

I haven't explored too deeply into other formats of Storylane, so it may be more challenging for larger corporations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane is an easy-to use software that we use to create demos for our website. It allows clients to access a demo at the click of a button. Unlike traditional demos where clients have to book via a link they now have the software at their fingertips. It is more convenient for our prospects to see our software at their own time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

There isn't a lot I dislike about Storylane. The one main point would be to have more ability to change icons on the screen. I.e colour of boxes, size and shape of boxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

Really simple and easy to use. You don't really need to learn much to start using Storlyane, adding in the guides and styling them is pretty self explanitory.

The screen recording feature is really helpful when you want to build a demo very quickly. The way it automatically frames your demo into a mockup browser window is really nice and makes it look extra clean.

Multiple sharing options make it relly versitile in how you can utilise the demos, we embed them in our website but can also share them in emails as links etc.

Brand kit feature makes it much quicker to build demos as we don't have to worry about fonts and colours every time we build a demo.

On the rare occasion we had a bug with a demo, customer support where very responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

The screen recording feature only works in a browser. So if you want to demo something in a desktop app, you have to purely rely on your own screenshots, which makes building a demo much more time consuming.

It would be good if you could edit the size of the hotspot guide, as a lot of the time it covers or obscures part of your screenshot that you'd liek tobe more visibile, which is quite annoying.

Can't really simulate typing, so if you are trying to demo something that involves a lot of free text editing, it doesn't really translate well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
