Top Rated Storykit Alternatives

With Storykit, we have a powerful tool that significantly eases video production in our agency. We particularly appreciate how it brings all team members to a common level regarding compliance with CI guidelines. The support from Storykit is great and has repeatedly provided us with new ideas on how to use the tool. The well-designed templates and animations make it much easier to create professional-looking videos in no time. The AI feature for converting text to video saves us a lot of time and, with some practice, turns minimal input into meaningful videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A more precise adjustment of the templates to our needs is occasionally lacking. In particular, with special customer requests, detailed personalization is difficult and only possible to a limited extent. A larger selection of animations could also increase the diversity and attractiveness of our videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate how quickly I can create dynamic content for the various purposes we use it for. It's convenient that I can change formats with just a click, and I enjoy many of the animations available. The video and music libraries are great additions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I'd like to see more of are social media-friendly animations. Currently, there's a lot of corporate feel, which is more suited for presentations rather than social media. I'd also appreciate more formats available, such as Google Ads formats. Understanding how to use the various features in the editing menu can be a bit tricky, especially if you want to do more 'advanced' tasks. Coming from an Adobe background, I miss the clarity in the menu. You have to render a preview of the entire film to be able to preview it. I'd like to be able to preview the entire video directly in the storyboard. Additionally, I'd like the ability to change text size and the text area for all animations. I can make great videos in no time! It's quick and fun to work with, and easy to learn. I use it to create videos for social media and videos for presentations or internal communication. We also get super help from our Storykit contact person. Highly recommended! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have utilized Storykit for a while in my company, and it has evolved a lot over the last year. They come with new features all the time. I had some things I didn't like with the tool in the beginning, but it has improved and evolved a lot over the last year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With our own templates and incorporating our own visual identity, it takes only a few minutes to create a professional looking video. And everyone can do it. The access to stock photos and videos might be one of the best features actually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It might be too simple sometimes, you obviuosly doesn't have the same control over all the details, but for a user that usually don't make videos that's more of a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Before Storykit I would create videos using desktop programs that might take me several hours: sourcing stock footage, music, creating scripts and putting it all together. With Storykit, I can have a video created and ready to go in 5-10 minutes! It's so quick and simple, and there's minimal manual work to get it done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not a real negative, but there's almost too much choice! Lots of different template styles and formats for every eventuality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love Storykit! It makes me feel like a creative genius. It is super easy to use, and I love the fact that you can take any content you have and repurpose it. For example, you can transform a single blog post into three different videos. Additionally, it saves time since you don't need to spend too much time on video creation due to its simplicity. I can not think of anything - maybe sometimes it has its limitations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Storikit has helped us bring our company's brand closer to people. It has helped us unleash creativity in a simple way. It is a super intuitive and practical platform. And the best of all, our "Customer Success Manager" Carla! A great professional, who is always willing to help us learn new things about the platform or resolve our doubts. Thank you for everything, Carla! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What we have missed is a bit more freedom when editing the different slides. Many of them have a fixed format and do not allow text to be included in places other than where it indicates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease and speed of using the tool. You can create videos rather quickly, especially with AI-support. Also, the tool is connected with free stocksites, like Pexels and Videoblocks. This makes it so much easier to quickly find images and videos to support your videos, which could take hours if you have to find and download them yourself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are still some features that need tweaking or "quality of life". For example, the way you kind of have to work in script otherwise your storyboard will be different. Or the lack of insight on some transitions/animations. But those things are being worked on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a videoeditor, Storykit helps me to save time when making short SoMe posts - Rather than making everything from scratch in a traditional video editing software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tough there are many customizable options, I would like to have more manual options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With Storykit, I can create a video in an hour that is good enough to share on all my company's channels. There may be more sophisticated and flexible tools out there, but I've not found anything that can compete with Storykit's simplicity and ease of use. Training up a new member of staff takes a matter of hours, not days. I also like how Storykit onboards my company's fonts and brand colours, giving everything a consistent feel. I honestly think a trained ape could make satisfactory corporate videos using Storykit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Storykit is not as flexible or powerful as some other tools on the market. It may not be able to do everything you want it to. But that is the trade-off you make in exchange for simplicity. Storykit lets you make good videos quickly. If you want professional quality, "big budget" productions, you may need to look elsewhere. In our team we have taken a two-tier approach. We use Storykit for everyday "business as usual" content, and hire a video production agency from time to time for special projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I had never edited any video before my current position, but knew the value of short-form video to a brand identity, and how well they translate on social media. Then I was introduced to StoryKit. Now, I'm regularly producing informative, educational, and engaging video for Planet Tracker, and in far less time than picking up any other video editing software from scratch. StoryKit allows to me make some amazing videos, and the team behind them are always working so hard to improve the platform, and engage me as a user. Credit to J-B and the StoryKit team! While it may not have some of the functionality a proffesional video editing package like Vegas or Adobe may give you, it is far easier and more intuitive than anything I've encountered when it comes to content creation. While it has an enourmous library of video content, free-to-use, it may be helpful to expand and use some topical footage providers (Reuters, associated press etc.) where possible.
