We've had a fantastic experience using Storyblok the team at Storyblok has been exceptional. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist. Their support has made our transition to a headless CMS smooth and efficient.
Overall, Storyblok has greatly enhanced our content management capabilities, and working with their team has been a pleasure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing we didn't like about Storyblok! 😊 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most interesting thing about storyblok is the ease of creating new pages and managing the different assets. Also the speed and intuitiveness of the tool, as well as the fact that it allows you to see in real time the content you are creating before publishing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far we have not detected anything noteworthy, although it would be great to have a global asset manager across different spaces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the flexibility, intuitive layout, and ease of use of CMS. Deployments work seamlessly, the editing and previewing experience is great. As a heavy user, one of my favorite features is the command bar search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes loading pages inside the CMS can be a bit slow and when saving changes the preview is not always automatically updated so I need to refresh the window to see the latest changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the product, it really does fit perfectly with our business and helps us achieve more, quickly. The CMS was easy to implement with thorough guides available, along with development packages to speed this up further. The customer relations team are great, and it really does feel like they listen to you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is missing a few features compared to our previous solution, but the future roadmap looks bright and I'm sure these will be added soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Is user friendly, and its interface is intuitive. With the Storyblok CMS we are able to be more independent in the management of our company website Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The preview page does not always update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The CMS is extremely user-friendly for a headless CMS. Our content managers and editors in particular favour the CMS from a user perspective over other competitor products.
Our developers also love the CMS because it is easy to implement and very open to interfaces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the product is still relatively new on the market. It could therefore be more modern in principle, but still have more features compared to other established systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease to change and edit the design of my pages in the design view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is difficult to configure the Enriched Text field so that it respects the styles, perhaps a more in-depth explanation of how to do it or a tutorial could help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its simple and straightforward to use if you have experience using other CMS's such as Contentful or Prismic. I especially love the visual editor approach and the demo has been extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The start templates were limited and I really wish there were more learning resources for Storyblok Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can achieve almost anything due to they way Storyblok gives you the data you need, collect that data in some flexible react framework (next.js) and you've got the foundations of a very smooth experience that you can tailor to those not interested in the code.
Once the code pieces are put together the speed to market is rapid - components can be create and slotted into place very quickly and can be visually checked through whichever release process you decide to follow before it hits your production system - all thanks to that very clever visual UI.
There is quite a bit of headscratching and effort that went into just understanding the best approach but once there it really is a flexible system that Storyblok can easily improve overtime; enough is there at the moment though to get going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are definately quite a few improvement points to made however, especially with the developer experience but there are work arounds, you just might need another backend tool to achieve them.
- API limitation on resolving relations to a minimum of two levels
- API logic limitation, filter query which gives you logic can only be used on content and then, as above, only 2 levels
- Documentation on best practice setup to achieve more complex tasks (i.e. this is how you would build a breadcrumb or on-page navigation)
- Stories/templates that would inherit the limited component use from the parent Template or Story
- API rate limt seems a bit low (100 story fetch limit is too low)
- Webhooks trigger could be more granular, i.e. on a per story/template/folder level
- Bulk edits to components/reusable content (i.e. I want this component to appear here on these pages, not possible, create an external tool and use the management API)
- Component re-naming checking (say you give a component a name that the API uses and you want to change it? Be great to see what pages thats impacted without having to write a bespoke tool to check and update/publish)
- Another (test?) access level key would be useful in addition to draft/published (Test > UAT > Prod).
- Image Service could do with a little improvements, its a bit hit and miss and sometimes a little slow.
- Would be great to see an automated language translation option Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Storyblok allows us to publish flexible content across our site with ease. We've had no issues using the platform for the last year and a half, and find the account and support team really helpful if we have any questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We occaisonally find the uploading of assets a little slow, but nothing problematic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
