Storyblok made it easy to to create new content quickly. We were able to migrate multiple ecommerce websites in a matter of months from a all in one ecommerce approach to a headless architecture. Integrating Storyblok and implementing components to fill with life and content with storyblok was fun for developers and shop managers alike.

This is very user-friendly tool, easy to create templates using Block Library and the pages or stories can be associated language wise or market mise. There is more flexible option to clone the content between various markets with same language speaking counties like AU NZ GB etc. We use the tool more frequently and we have more than 25 spaces created project wise.

The Data source option with language specific works well for us to use them as labels for different markets. We can use them as an API as well. The Tasks option is one of the best option where we can use it to trigger the builds using the API and we are also using the webhook option that provided per space which will help us to build our project based on publishing the story.

A user friendly and flexible option is, we can copy the templates from one space to other. I loved the tool as a developer and storyblok admin user. The Customer support with chat is not that responsive as I have noticed, because I rarely get the reply from them which is little sad new.

However, I found a link (mentioned below) which helped me a lot, the issue is resolved within 48 hours after creating a ticket here. By which we were Happy.

The real-time visual editor allows you to see your updates side by side in real time, without needing to refresh the page or visit a separate preview page. The ability to easily copy and paste modules from one page to another is highly useful. Additionally, it provides valuable tools for managing content across multiple languages. It is difficult to find some pages in the Content section. The search functionality occasionally displays irrelevant results. In other CMS platforms, when you're logged in and visit a live page, there is a banner at the bottom that displays an edit button that takes you directly to the editor. Storyblok gives the power over to you, the user, you are to modify it and add the feature and functionality that you need to the system, making it truly headless and fully customizable. Storyblok is a big win for our team! The live editor is great for real-time feedback on your changes — it's super intuitive and easy to use, and setting it up was straightforward for its integration with our React app.

After one of our developers implements it, our marketing team can now handle the app announcements (every three weeks) and updates on their own, not blocking developer and QA times for review anymore. My web design and marketing company uses Storyblok in the majority of our projects, and it's our first choice when recommending a CMS to clients.

The combination of a good REST/GraphQL API, good integration with client-side frameworks (e.g. Astro, Nuxt), and a fairly decent graphical editor results in us being able to rapidly integrate it into new projects.

I was recently able to get a small marketing website for a client up and running within a few weeks using Storyblok and Astro. An equivalent with a different CMS (e.g. WordPress) would have had a lot more friction.

I haven't had very many interactions with their customer support team, but the two times I spoke to them, they understood the issue I was talking about quickly, and got back to me with a resolution almost immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My main reservation with Storyblok is that, as this is closed-source SaaS, our sites have a hard dependency on it, and we wouldn't be able to move to self-hosting should Storyblok's parent company shut down, or them alter the software in a way we disliked.

I would also prefer if it was easier to integrate our post schema into version control, or to lock down specific blok configurations so they couldn't be modified from the UI.

I like that there are several ways to approach content structure and related management which give flexibility with localization options. I like that it is really easy to learn how to use it and as consquence it is easy to train new users as well. I like the multiple blocks approach and the great availability of apps which makes the platform very expandable and scalable. Great customer support and ease of integration. I would like to see an option that is mixing well Field Level and Folder Level structure and related translations/localization possibilities. Today such a mix is possible but not ideal yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Storyblok is an incredible CMS, different than anything else. Combining the headless approach with a live preview. Relatively easy to setup, well written documentation and tutorials. Good UI. It would be nice to not get logged out all the time. The editing experience on mobile is not that great. Better integration of TypeScript would make development way easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a developer, I often have to say "no" to a lot of requests due to technical constraints in the tools I am using to build things. With Storyblok I almost never find myself saying "no"!

Specifically, I greatly appreciate that locales are free and have flexibility in how the content is merged together.

The ability to add custom widgets to the editor via Field Plugins is a game changer! I've used it to implement advanced styling features for grid layouts and button colors.

Lastly I appreciate the completeness of the APIs. We have actually been able to migrate 90% of our existing website from our old CMS into Storyblok solely via script using the APIs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
