Stoplight has an intuitive and very user-friendly interface which makes it easy to use. With instant mock servers, it allows to easily test the API you have created in order to understand their level of performance before actually deploying them. It comes with enormous number of sample codes and tutorials which acts as a guide toward creating the most productive APIs. It makes it easy to manage your APIs from a single platform including tracking their changes, managing their dependencies, sharing them and much more. Stoplight flexible architecture makes it possible to be compatible and integrate with other products like Azure Docs, GitHub Docs and others such that yiu dont have to change yiur existing infrastructure after you implement it. Another cool feature in Spotlight is that it allows collaboration which helps collect more ideas on how to make APIs even more productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used Spotlight for years now and everything about this product to me now has been flawless. It has an easy to use and intuitive user interface and very effective features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our complete solution for API design, documentation, and testing is provided by the comprehensive and user-friendly Stoplight API platform. It is a great option for us to streamline the API development process because of its features and capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Despite having a user-friendly interface, Stoplight API still necessitates some familiarity with API design and programming. It is difficult for some of our team members to begin using the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What drew me initially to Stoplight was a simple editor I could use to help author and review documentation. I am a "markdown-first" kind-of-person, and love how Stoplight uses markdown to produce beautiful documentation and a live preview of that documentation while I type. It has helped me to produce some beautiful specifications that helped to accelerate product development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My frustrations with the product are hardly worth mentioning here, as they are a function of their business and how they upsell their product. That being said, I wish I could have invited a lot more developers to collaborate on a specification with me while I was evaluating the product. Limiting myself to only 5 developers to access a private project was limiting to me at the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I was able to get Stoplight working with Studio in minutes.
preview was awesome Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Model (examples) are useless. They don't show up anywhere and don't work
Hints to tell you what you did wrong and how to correct it, instead of it's wrong Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it is easy to use because it offers very flexible features due to its well built and dedicated user interface. Its a great tool overall, as well as offering good API-specific documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I want to add the drag function to the panel. That would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform is organized and nicely allows for my and my collaborators to keep the most recent API documentation up to date. It is also great that when using it with a small team it is free to use. The mock server to make calls to for testing and setup is also great before changes are made in the production environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is probably because of us not knowing how to fully use the platform but I would like to find/wish there was a way to create subfolders for each call that is documented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a simple yet convenient tool for delivering your API documentation. You can just upload your API specification, and it will handle the rest. The tool will even highlight any warnings/errors you have, so those can be easily fixed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can have only one project on a free plan. The pricing is pretty high if you just need to host even one API per several environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

one of the better wysiwyg tools out there for managing Open API specs across multiple team members. Good git integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
UI keeps breaking often (every few weeks). Some issues around synching with Git branches, and some must have team management capabilities are now hidden in the higher paid tiers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Easy and intuitive OpenAPI documentation and collaboration
- Deep integration with Git
- Built for and built by developers (great support for markdowns, mermaid scripts)
- Ability to customize developer document layouts Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- The layouts are not the most aesthetic to look compared to other vendors
- limited readily available components to build great developer experience
- Would feel sluggish at times (esp when updating mermaid diagrams) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how easy it is to create the API structure and how many options there are for including additional notes and details so developers can easily build for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't have anything I dislike about Stoplight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
