What do you like best about Stoplight?

Schema editor with model references is very useful tool to quickly build and modify path definitions. Also it is possible to share public documentation based on scheme. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Stoplight?

Stoplight has put an amazing user interface on top of API documentation. Their tools a quick, easy to use, and really well done. Additionally you always have access to view the Swagger data driving the application with is really useful for more technical users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stoplight?

It was difficult for our team to keep this up to date. A more streamlined integration with AWS API Gateway would have been great (and may exist now I haven't checked). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Stoplight?

The GUI is excellent and the fact its supporting the Open-API standards makes me confident we can build our tools around it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stoplight?

The stoplight team has assured me this will be fixed in the next release -- The tool has an online hosted centric approach, its made it a challenge to integrate into our multi-branch codebase were new features are developed on different branches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Stoplight solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've needed to test an API with approximately 150 actions, all of which are authenticated as different level of users with different account accesses. I like the fact that instead of testing against stubbed data we can perform the tests in our CI-Pipeline on a full running version of the API. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Stoplight?

The ability to quickly add and manipulate elements with the designer, but still have the ability to make changes directly to the JSON data. Additionally, the ability to work with all projects through git makes coloring outside the lines possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stoplight?

I'd like to be able to use YAML editing, have the ability to segment versions so that say v1.1 is published, but those with sufficient authorization could access v1.2 that's in development.

Also, versioning should be full semver, so I can have 1.1.1 and 1.1.2, not just 1.11 and 1.12 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The audit log is useless in finding out the changes to the document by other people.

What do you like best about Stoplight?

It is a very helpful tool to non-technical (business side) user to formulate and structure API before it will be implemented

I can document business context with API technical structure and generate easy to use API documentation from it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stoplight?

There is no way to share API documentation draft only to the limited audience. Hosted doc pricing is not reasonable for small teams if it will be used only to agree on the API structure.
