Stoplight.io has been a fantastic asset for my team in terms of quickly designing APIs. The platform's intuitive interface and full support for specifications made it easy for us to create and manage API specifications, saving us time and effort. What's more, Stoplight.io's real-time collaboration feature was a game-changer for us, as it allowed us to easily work with our client's team and make decisions quickly. Overall, we found Stoplight.io to be a highly helpful and efficient platform for API design and documentation. The visual editor for OpenAPI and JSON Schema is a standout feature, simplifying the process and allowing for a seamless experience. We highly recommend Stoplight.io for anyone looking for a comprehensive and user-friendly solution for API design and documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some users may find the cost of the premium features to be on the higher side compared to other similar tools. Additionally, some users have reported difficulties with the integration of external tools, which can impact the overall efficiency of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When you are using the web saas solution you got everything you need in one place! if its the documentation, the design and even the mocking. The eay to write the style is very easy from the UI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We at SevenApps are developing and maintaining mobile applications that have huge business logic behind the scenes. We use Firebase's remote config to control the logic, and every key returns a JSON value that has lots of primitive types but also polymorphic structures that reflects the internal models that we use to drive business logic. To validate and document these models we use stoplight's interface. This helps us to maintain a better communication between the development and product teams. We had to write some middlewares to validate JSON values, an API simply that validates values by the schemas on stoplight would be super cool. This is not something I dislike but a missing feature Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that you can still edit the code form of things, and that it's compatible with swagger style documentation. It's got a really great UI for the person creating the API documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's often surprising the disconnect between how the editor sees the layout and organization of calls, compared to how the public read view sees it. You forget how important tags are for organization and hierarchy. Also, organization for the editor can get tricky once you start having an extensive API, since all the endpoints are in a flat unordered/unfiltered list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been using Spotlight.io for API documentation for a few months now, and I am extremely impressed with the platform. The user-friendly interface makes it incredibly easy to create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation. The platform's integration with other tools has also streamlined my workflow and saved me time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While I have been thoroughly satisfied with my experience using Spotlight.io, there is one area for improvement. I have found that setting up API examples can be a bit challenging at times and could be made easier. However, this minor downside does not detract from my overall positive experience with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Stoplight does a really good job of creating a compliant Open API specs. The UI does a good integration with Github and its pretty easy to visualize your API documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI can be clunky a bit - especially when you are first learning about the "gotchas". For example, I've created endpoints in the UI, and the underlying spec document will automatically add fields, leave them blank, and then tell you "Hey you have a blank field and that's not allowed". I've had to manually edit the raw doc to clean these up. For the free version for sure its worth it though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Collaborating, documenting and linting Open API files is very efficient with Stoplight.
We use mock servers a lot as well, speeding up integrations with internal teams and external partners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We rely on Stoplight for accessing our Open API files to start some dynamic mock servers with Prism and to run API schema testing with Open API
Very often, Stoplight servers hangs or returns HTTP 503 which results in our CI to fail because we cannot access the Open API file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

i have found stoplight very easy to use. the basic tier comes with enough capability to build and release APIs and manage your models in a low code and friendly way. having a tool like stoplight is one of the most important steps in creating a nice good clean set of APIs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I found it hard to use the models in my APIs it is not very straightforward. once somebody explained it to me, it all made sense. I also think there are ways to improve the getting started videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it offers a free version, the interface is intuitive, and the fast API design is excellent, but I like the most that the documentation is complete, which implies a good learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a good platform, but at the beginning, when it was implemented, we had problems with some API models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
