What do you like best about Stessa?

Intuitive user interface, easy to set up. Customer Support has always been very responsive. Simplifies income and expense transactions management. Integration with Stessa Rent Pay to allow my tenants to setup monthly autopay easily, and to alert me when a rent payment is late. I am in Stessa every day; its my primary dashboard on my desktop in my office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stessa?

Certain elements are hardwired and not customizable, such as expense categories, or the inability to sort my cash management accounts in a particular order. One of my Credit Union banks cannot be connected because Stessa does not use Plaid and Yodlee doesn' recognize the FAIRWINDS Credit Union business banking logon. Manually uploading my transaction files is cumbersome and messy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Stessa solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before I found Stessa, I was trying to manage on my own with my spreadsheets which got overwhelming and time consuming. Stessa provides a centrally organized view and management of my real estate portfolio, automating many tasks. The finacial reports are critical to help me track my profitablity and make decisions such as when and how much to renovate any given property. Prior to Stessa I was over-spending on remodels. Now I have a much better view into my monthly cashflows. I was also frequently caught unaware if a tenant was late on their rent. Stessa and Stessa Rent Pay has helped improve my tenants paying on time. The Stessa Cash Management accounts through Thread Bank allow me to earn reasonable returns on my stored cash for which I have set up individual accounts for each property, as well as my property management entity. Each property account serves as my Repair & Replacement Reserves account, so its been great to earn 4%+ on that money directly in the checking accounts instead of having to try to ladder CDs elsewhere. What do you like best about Stessa?

I love that the software connects to other financial sites to import transactions automatically. After the import, it will even automatically categorize the transaction based on what it is and the history of its previous transactions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stessa?

I hate saying it, but so far there is nothing I dislike. I'm only a few weeks into using the software, and so far, it's a home run for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Stessa:

If you are a real estate investor, Stessa is a must-have. I can't imagine growing my portfolio without this tool, and I've only just started using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Stessa solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Stessa, I was using property management software to manage my small long-term rental portfolio. That's great, except when it comes time to prepare tax returns, the other software falls a bit short. Stessa lets me track and categorize all of the financials for my properties and does so quickly and in many cases automatically. This tracking and categorization should make tax time easy. What do you like best about Stessa?

It seems to cover what I need to maintain my rental portfolio Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stessa?

I don’t like that there is NO support. There is no way to solve a problem other than message these people. And this could go on for days. The program has been a bit buggy .. I have had a problem with transactions for 23 days.. and have had very little communication from “support”. I can’t even get anyone at Stessa acknowledge my messages. Recommendations to others considering Stessa:

So what buggy at times .... if you take you business seriously.. use something else. The people who manage this program do not take Stessa seriously.. or they would be more concerned about their customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I highly recommend the app. It has transformed my recording and tracking of the data in my business.

What do you like best about Stessa?

Stessa does all the hard work for me. It categorizes most transactions for me and makes my life much easier. I'm also able to use it with multiple portfolios and connect certain bank accounts to certain properties. It's been a huge time saver for me.

When I did my taxes last year I just ran a report on Stessa and was able to print out ever thing I needed for my certified public accountant. I handed him the print outs and he input the data, bim bam boom and that was it. He did not have to ask me a bunch of questions and spend hours sifting through and categorizing my each and every expense. This saved me a ton of time and MONEY on the hours he didn't bill me for. What do you dislike about Stessa?

This is by far the best accounting software I've found to replace quickbooks and I highly recommend taking the time to set it up and use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Stessa solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm not worried about book keeping any longer. Stessa does 99% of the work for me and especially the parts I hate like data entry and remembering to input EVERY last expense. I'm now able to have multiple CC/debit cards connected to multiple properties and it's made managing my properties and projects much easier then before. What do you like best about Stessa?

It’s so simple yet so effective to use. I’m a small real estate investor and this is perfect to keep up with my expenses for renovating my rentals.

Also, a nice little touch is when you’re uploading a property, it can populate the address for you and pull information about the property from online. Saves time and is a nice, extra feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stessa?

Maybe including a mobile dashboard for the app. Unfortunately you have to login to the website version to see the dashboard. However, it does look like they’re working to update this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Stessa?

Stessa is easy to use, offers excellent reporting and makes record keeping fun. If you’re a numbers guys like me you will love seeing all your important metrics on one page.
