Creating emails using the Marketo WYSIWYG is not easy, especially if you have old templates that have been slightly updated by different people in different times for years. Stensul makes building emails not only easy but much more efficient. Some things will seem minor, but when you add it all up, it really is a huge time saver. For example: not having to copy and paste email copy to Notepad before putting it into the email editor; automatically adding UTM tags to links; easily add, delete, or move modules; cropping images directly in the tool. We also have some of our field marketers building their own emails in stensul and they have said numerous times that it is so much easier to build in stensul than in Marketo. Which means less issues for me to troubleshoot for them :) In addition, building new modules is also very easy and I say this as someone who is not an email developer. Lastly, I found the onboarding to be easy and customer support to be very responsive. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** It did take some time to figure out how to create new modules as they didn't have any documentation available. But my CSM gave me great training and was always available to hop on a quick call when I had a question or couldn't remember a step. From a functionality perspective, I wish I could add a dark overlay to images within the tool if needed. **Recommendations to others considering Stensul:** It's worth the investment. It has really saved me so much time. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time saving. More efficient. Easy to QA with other stakeholders. Easy to build without an email developer on staff. ### 14. There were so many bugs, editors hated it, and our emails were often broken if we didn't do fifty rounds of QA testing. Stensul solved all of that and more. Our editors LOVE creating emails now using Stensul, and they don't ever need to login to Marketo anymore. QA doesn't exist, Stensul solves all of that for us, while making sure our emails look great, every single time. Also, we were able to build our email modules in less than a day, totally on our own, which was really empowering. The service of the Stensul team is awesome. They are super nice, really fast and responsive, and it shows that they work with a lot of big, important companies. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** I don't think there is anything to dislike. Maybe just an integration with our internal system (sort of like a CMS), for getting existing images, but that's it. The Stensul team really built an incredible product. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to let our team create emails and make last minute changes faster. Having them use the marketo builder was not great, because it is not easy to use. If we had our team send everything to a designer, and then had that person work in marketo, it just created a big mess with all the back and forth. Stensul lets anyone on our team make an email super fast. People love it. Our exec team wanted us to be more efficient and faster with making emails, and Stensul was the perfect solution. ### 15. It was super easy to use, right from the get-go. Our Customer Service Rep and the support team are amazing; they are super prompt with help whenever we need it. Best of all, this has eliminated the need for a designer to handle our "standard" type emails. We still use the design team for one-off, special emails that don't fit our standard format, but for our general emails I am able to do everything from creation to deployment myself, which is a great time saver. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** There really isn't anything big I can think of. My only real wish is for an "undo" button; sometimes I delete something by accident and there is no way to quickly fix that type of mistake. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are an email team of two people, and we have one designer who can code our emails for us, but he is not exclusively working on email. We ran into issues where our projects were pushed to the back burner when other needs seemed more pressing, so it was difficult to get things created for us quickly. Also, our approval process for emails is complicated depending on the products we are advertising, and the adjustments requested can be plentiful. We used to have to wait days at a time for our designer to make small tweaks so we could re-submit items. Now, I can build an email mock myself in minutes, and it gets coded at the same time. Changes requested? No problem - give me another 5 minutes to make them and get a new mock out. Plus it seamlessly integrates with Responsys, which is a dream. It has been a true game-changer for me at work. ### 16.
