Staxbill is super easy to use. It is customisable to suit your billing needs and  has a great customer support team to help you when there are challenges.

I cant think of any downsides yet. Its not perfect but meets most of our needs.

We were having challenges with keeping track of our subscriptions and showing all the tracked items on the bills. Staxbill helped solved this problem for us.

**What do you like best about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

We were using a much more expensive billing solution when we found Stax Bill. The transition was very well supported, and we have been highly pleased with our Monthly Recurring Revenue collections since day 1. Later, we were able to shutdown our other gateway and save additional fees for processing credit cards. On top of that, we are also able to add "auto-updating" for expired credit cards - a feature that would have been much more costly through our former gateway! Both services are working great.

**What do you dislike about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

The monthly service collections, the cost for credit card transactions, and the auto-updating of expired credit cards are stellar, and customer service is very good - nothing we dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill):**

It is definitely worth taking the time to look into Fusebill.

We now have a fully integrated system that provides credit card gateway services and our subscription/Monthly Recurring Revenue management and support. Stax Bill does it all seemlessly.

Stax bill has been awesome to use, allowing us to customize it to our needs. Create specific plans and products within the plan is a what suits us best. Having different environments for testing is also a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

Having no control over the portal displayed on our webpage. It is just an iFrame with no ability to adjust anything. It would be nice if there was an option to customize this specific item a bit more.

**What problems is Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to use a different billing platform and it would not have allowed us to use it like we currently have Stax Bill set up. Stax Bill allowed us to customize it to our needs which results in a better experience for our clients.

All information is readily accessible and organized efficiently, allowing me to help my customers. Going through the transaction history and seeing past dates is the best tool when looking at a customer from start to finish.

**What do you dislike about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

As of now, I have nothing to dislike. All good from my position and the needs I have. Perhaps they could create an easily accessible introduction video for new users. I didn't feel I needed one because the interface is simple and easy to use. But perhaps a 2-3 minute intro video would help orient people to the platform.

Not necessarily problems. But the system allows me to access information and reports and provide information quickly. Most customers are always want to double check that payments have gone through, and the transactional history is very informative and allows dates and past transactions quickly.

Easy to handle, you can track customers, payments, invoices, payment methods, credits, and all the stuff about your customers; it's a complete tool. They have a portal for customers

**What do you dislike about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

They recendtly made some updates, the gateways are causing a lot of errors most of them related to payment methods. Customers are also reporting a lot of issues with the self-service portal link

**What problems is Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

well... a lot of them, when tricky customers says that they already paid an invoice you can easily track payments in the payments tab, also you can confirm that the invoice was sent on time to the proper email address.

Staxbill is a flexible tool that provides easy-to-use product books to invoice customers and gives reporting visibility on things such as Annual Recurring Revenue by Product.

I do wish there were more options for custom reporting and deeper integration with HubSpot, where we can leverage a single price book between the CRM and billing system.

Using our previous system, we did not have clear visibility on what our ARR was by Product and had to use several different systems to piece together anything meaningful. Now we have the ability to see clearly where each product stands and an ability to easily bill our customers.

I enjoy the ease of accessing invoices and payments by the customer. I frequently look at Stax to reconcile what unit are active on a customer's account and what there being charged for.

Sometimes it is unclear when looking at a bill if a customer is in the contract. If there was some way to integrate the initial agreement and monitor pending months it would make it a lot easier for me personally

It makes it easy to find and analyze what a customer is paying for. I have seen great improvements and I am more productive. It also allows me to see eye to eye with customers that are being charged.

What I like best about Stax Bill is that our entire accounting team can collaborate and edit invoices, billing, collections, etc., all on one platform.  Their client support is very good as well in case you ever run into an issue.

The only downside in my opinion is the learning curve can be long if you want to utilize all the features available.  But once you are comfortable, the platform is intuitive

Before we used Stax Bill,, our three divisions used separate billing systems that did not communicate well with each other.  but now our entire team can work through all implementations together and see in real -time

FuseBill is an easy way for Saas-Based CX Teams to access client billing details, resolve billing issues, and access historical invoices quickly and efficiently.

The tool is a bit clunky if you're trying to collect payment for an overdue balance. If you wish to collect payment as a "Basic" User and not an "Administrator", your privileges make it challenging to complete the task of settling accounts straightforwardly.

Resolving Overdue Balances by collecting payments over the phone. Issuing Invoices for clients in a straightforward manner. Business performance has increased as a result of FuseBill -- this is because the tool allows teams to access the required information in a centralized, organized location.

Fusebill has helped us organize our billing, send invoices to our customers that they can pay online, and give our customers that are past due automated billing reminders!

It is not user friendly enough on my mobile phone.

Also, Some of the payment tracking can be a little bit confusing, and the reports are difficult to read sometimes.

The most important issue that Fusebill has resolved for me was sending automated past due reminders to our customers that have missed payments.  We have been able to successfully bill out customers much easier.

I like how easy it is to use the system once you have a good understanding of how things work. I love the email capabilities and the ability for a merchant to update their own payment information through the portal. I like the ability the merchant has to pay their invoice online.

**What do you dislike about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

I do not like the landing page for the portal (the initial sign-in page) that the merchant receives. I constantly get comments asking for their User ID and Password; the page doesn't make it clear that this is where they create their User ID and Password. I also think that the reporting is lacking. It would be nice to see some drill-down links on some of the reports; I see total revenue or total sales but it would be nice to click on that number and have Fusebill produce a more detailed report about what makes up that number without having to search around for a different report that will produce the information that I need.

We were using Chargify, which is very comparible to Fusebill. Both systems provide recurring billing and one-time billing, ability for merchants to pay on-line and update payment information. I think that Fusebill could surpass Chargify if the reporting capabilities were easier and more insightful.

-Software is powerful and packs all the features needed to manage subscriptions
-From price uplift to upgrades/downgrades, multiple subscriptions per customer, I 
-The stats and tools provided on their dashboard are extremely useful. I especially like the MRR progression, customer growth, and the calendar showing the upcoming renewals with associated revenue.

-The software does not calculate key metrics such as Churn rate and NET revenue churn. I feel the system could easily calculate this and the metrics could be added to the dashboard.
-Support can be slow to respond sometimes.

When you have hundreds of customers, different types of subscriptions, and different lengths of plans, you need a system to help you manage all of this. On top of this, you need to worry about revenue recognition. Fusebill made all this a lot simpler for us.

I like the recurring billing system, and how they're sending automatic reminders.
Very easy to set up new customers, and easy to create invoices.
Setup user is also easy, making it quick to administrate.

small bugs that some of the balances can't be clear.
No GL can be assigned to write off items, which causes extra work when booking the month-end journal entries

- Platform seems complete  theoretically covering most of your subscription billing/subscription management needs (we never actually went live, though).
- Some good people/professionals in their services organization tried to help, but the overall project was a massive failure.

**What do you dislike about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

- During the sales process there we several false mistatements made to us, such as:
-- We can cover your subscription management worldwide;
-- We have live customers in Brazil, and we can fit your needs there. We can even introduce you to local customers later down the road. 
-- We integrate with Avalara for global tax calculations;

These were all false. 
- They never were able to issue one invoice/nota fiscal for our international operations; 
- We wasted almost 2 years and had to drop the implementation project.

- Unfortunately, none. They only caused problems and waste of time at my company.

1) Deep functionality for a wide variety of billing functions
2) Well organized User Interface
3) Bulk upload feature to mass update pricing
4) Dunning emails that can be custom configured and sent on a custom schedule

Go Deeper on reporting.  Users should be able to report by any field in the database.  

My company sells memberships and physical equipment.  I can segment my reporting for membership price points.  But not for physical equipment.  I can only see the lump sum figure for my total physical equipment sales.  I cannot break it down by the equipment manufacturer/model.   This limitation applies to all one-time purchases.

And users should be able to stack multiple filters and operators in a report builder interface.  For example, (Filter #1 AND Filter #2) OR (Filter #3 AND Filter #4).

Big improvement over my prior billing system where I could not even preview a charge before sending an invoice to the Customer.

Fusebill has a ton of customizable capabilities.  It allows for more options when it comes to billing customers, and I appreciated the one on one onboarding help from our specialist.

Because the software is so robust, there is a learning curve. It took a few meetings to understand the system and the process fully.  It is not for someone who wants a simple invoice/payment relationship.

Automation! Fusebill allows us to set our accounts up and leave it to charge without us babysitting the profile.  It also allows us to offer more custom payment plans.

Fusebill's admin is relatively easy to use and understand. I recently update prices in different currencies and it was relatively easy. Fusebill is not very disruptive compared to competitors.

Fusebill is not a flexible tool, with lots of constraints and more and more outages. Coupon creation lack flexibility too, for example, recently, I wasn't able to create a coupon on a standalone product that could be used by users with a subscription,

We use Fusebill to offer a complex set of plans for our series of products. Our platform offers different products with different types of plans each. Fusebill's service pricing is not too expensive.

**What do you like best about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

We use Fusebill to help with charging our setup fees and any open invoice balances on our system. I like that it connects to our Salesforce instance and that our reps can create their invoices right from Salesforce instead of having access to Fusebill. I also like the ability to confirm all email history and how easy it is to manually add a payment if needed. There were a lot of issues that were able to be fixed so we've appreciated that but there are still some things out there that are more of a feature request. It is nice to have both subscriptions plus our one-time fees in one system.

**What do you dislike about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

We had a lot of struggles with the integration setup and lots of user adoption issues. If the reps accidentally send the customer to Fusebill before creating the product in Salesforce, then they can't fix it and and on of our admins have to fix it. The other issue is that when we use the Products/Price book for our setup fees we then can't override the Opportunity amount for our revenue forecasting. Our reps would like the ability to add customized notes to the invoices and they can't do that through the SFDC integration. Our customers have had a ton of issues using the portal and there were many little nuances with the system in general that weren't explained until we brought them up as an issue. Support hours are also limited.

The main reason why we chose Fusebill was to have the Salesforce integration with a PCI compliant provider for our setup fees. That has been solved.

It took a little long to get everything set up but I guess it takes that long so they can make sure there are no snags when you go live with your account.

Making the recurring billing for my subscriptions much easier and with less work for the billing department. The automation of tracking the accounts and the fact that Fusebill sends customers the emails and makes sure the accounts are charged on time is great.

Being able to offers subscription services through Fusebill has been good.   The REST API is pretty good as compared with some of the others we tried.

Support and SLA is not the best.  They take the site down a few times a month for maintenance.  In 2021 and as a global service (working around the globe) it doesn't make sense that they intentionally have down time.  It causes us issues with our monitoring scripts but will also cause blips in our customer's user experience.

Be careful to get details of SLA before you sign.  If you need 99.9% uptime, be careful about scheduled downtimes during the week.

In some circumstances it has been challenging to extract key metrics from the system for better account management.  Support has been helpful with custom reporting but some quantifying account metrics are not available for reports.

Primarily recurring invoicing. Fusebill reliably performs this task and emails me monthly reports that help me manage past due accounts in a timely manner.  I feel it is easy to use and gets the job done.

Its systems are very flexible and can support a wide range of revenue recognition and contract setups. It's a feature filled offering, even if those features don't work well.

Extreme incompetence with product bugs and customer support. We've had continuous issues with their APIs changing behavior or outright breaking come billing day which then took multiple weeks to resolve through their customer support channel including product 500s on API requests that they insisted were not their fault. If your business likes to collect revenue on time, don't use Fusebill.

Have worked to escalate issues through management but are always met with customer support platitudes. We will be switching off in 2021 despite the time invested in a high quality integration and working on working around their issues.

Run, don't walk, away from it. Never been more upset about picking a vendor in my entire life.

Manually adding new customers onto Fusebill will result in a significant delay into the system. The support told me it takes about 4-24 hours. Support is slow to respond. I had to follow up a couple of times to get an answer. However, one member was especially helpful and came to follow up on my problem which I am very thankful for.

We started making a move to Fusebill and as a developer, I realized how easy it is to integrate with our system. They have an excellent documents and very detailed and easy to use sandbox environment. The customer support during the migration was brilliant and has helped each and every question we had. Using Fusebill has helped us in managing the subscriptions in a better way. Having a lot of other third-party integrations was another big win.

Nothing really at this point and I like everything so far. May be few more integrations would help to keep up with the industry.

The biggest problem for us was maintaining the subscriptions and the flexibility to change as business requirements. Fusebill made that process super easy and highly maintainable. Another big problem we had with our earlier system was we didn't have the ability to add city sales tax. So Fusebill with Avlara tax integration has helped us in solving the issue and helped us save big bucks. It also provided us a way to give the customer portal to our customers and that way they can update and maintain the subscription on the fly without us having to update.

Uptime has never been a problem.   There are some times where we see system slowness that can be frustrating for our customer service team.

Executives can run their own reports from Fusebill and not require our in-house tech team to run reporting on billing for them.  Our company has become more efficient and reduced churn because we switched to Fusebill.

The platform manages the accounts in a manner which are easily viewable which also allow me to plan and make changes accordingly. I am currently a new user with Fusebill. I feel that the layout is self explanatory. It's very easy to manage accounts and take a look at previous notes from co workers. Seeing the projection of accounts added makes me feel good about the work we are doing.

The only downside so far is when reviewing an invoice you have to actually go into it to see that it is set up for monthly payments. Outside of the invoice it just shows the full amount. If you print from just the invoice page the customer may get confused on what they are being charged. I hope that makes sense.

I would recommend Fusebill as it is easy to understand and a simple platform that is easy to navigate. It helps keep track of our subscription billing. I like the use of notes so everything is documented in the account. The charting helps motivate me to want to get more accounts. It's user friendly.

The benefits of Fusebill are that we can manage all recurring payments in one spot and the notes and documentation are there for any cancelled or suspended accounts. This greatly benefits any new employee to an office location be aware of any previous issues with an account. I really enjoy the chart that shows how many accounts are currently active and it helps morale whenever I see the numbers have gone up because then I know that we are doing a good job and we are on the right track.

The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate.  I like the ability to configure and change the settings without needing to contact Support.  It is also very helpful to have a Staging environment to log in and test things out before implementing in Production.  The integration with SalesForce makes things flow pretty easily no matter if a customer came in directly through the website or first talked to our sales team.

I wish the "Customer Portal" had some additional customizations and a better user experience.  We ended up creating our own portal which is integrated through their API.  

Also the reporting functionality could use some work.  There is not a lot of flexibility in regards to creating your own reports.

**Recommendations to others considering Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill):**

Pretty easy to use out of the box.  Only major caution is if you expect to use their "customer portal" as it has some limitations on how you can configure it and is not the best user experience for your customers.   You will likely have to build your own portal and integrate through their API, which their API documentation and capabilities are pretty solid if you do need to integrate.

We are using Fusebill to manage our subscription offerings as we are a SaaS company.  It is very easy to use and does send out helpful reminders to our customers when they have a credit card on file that is going to expire or advanced notice of an upcoming subscription renewal.

Ability to seamlessly integrate with a custom front-end to manage subscriptions. Email notifications and templates are helpful for reminding customers of certain action items. Integration with Avalara is nice to automate our sales tax collection and ensure we're in compliance.

Not much flexibility in terms of financial reporting or revenue recognition. For revenue recognition, would love to be able to recognize revenue over a custom date range, as our some of our contracts are very specific and don't cleanly fall into a monthly or annual time frame. 

Would love for the ability to create custom email templates based on subscription product, as well as more flexibility in the API. Because the reporting features are limited, I'm relying on the API to extract data, and would like more flexibility with endpoints.

Would like more flexibility in the Salesforce integration.

**What do you like best about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

The data it provides is very extensive, and is very easy to perform different actions that you want to do.

**What do you dislike about Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill)?**

The two things I dislike about fusebill include a hitch when registering for a plan, and sometimes when the site runs a little slow all together. When registering, if you don't put in the patients information fast enough it makes you restart.

**What problems is Stax Bill (formerly Fusebill) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a great way to keep track of who has the protection plan, and is very easy to figure out when someone is in poor standing.
