What do you like best about Statsig?

Running experiments is a breeze. Ability to define custom metrics, explore each metric individually through a metrics explorer, ability to view sample events is really helpful. User interface is very smooth and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

not dislike but currently the experiment results are delayed by one day. there should be an option to view it in real time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

Apart from being easier to use and to understand than Optimizely, also one of the bigger ups is that the team is always willing to listen and introduce new features at request that can improve both their product and our experience using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

Sometimes, the changes/new features are implemented so fast that some things break Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's helping us make Experimentation easier in our company, which helps us archieving our goal of experimenting more. Also, it's helping us toward our goal of having every new feature in the website behind a flag and being able to measure the positive/negative impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

We went from having very little insight into how our users were using our application to having fine-grained, easy-to-add events and chorts.

Being able to quickly update values using Dynamic Config has given us the ability to also leverage other tools like Sentry more effectively by being able to change sampling rates and error collection on the fly based on affected user groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

We implemented Statsig prior to there being a C++ SDK available so there was some initial friction and we had to manage all of the state and HTTP calls ourselves.

Attempting to set up dashboards and explore metrics within the first 24 hours of new event types hitting production is finicky and unreliable. We typically have to wait for a full day to pass before we can start digging into the events in depth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prior to Statsig we we're using GA for our metrics and had only surface level insights. Statsig allows us to filter and monitor user behaviors based on cohort details we can set, and then change Dynamic Config settings to run experiments based on those cohorts.

GA was fine for collecting things like System Info and minor statistics but nothing nearly as interactive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

It's about the easiest thing to set up and start using in a React Native app to handle feature gating, experiments, event logging, remote config, and other essentials. I think of StatSig now as indispensible for anyone building a phone app.

The documention is good, and gets you started quickly. I was running StatSig in my app within 10 minutes of signing up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

TBH, I haven't hit anything I'd say I dislike. If you forced me, I guess the SDK update changed several APIs, but it made them universally better than before, so that's hard to complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

feature gating is the biggest one, and experimentation. it's so easy to gate features and to figure out what's working better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

Can't find a way for forcing allocating large number of users to specific cell without override, might this by design Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

The ability to allocate user and tied parameters to user allocated cell, so the user experience can be dynamic and the Statsitg user can change the user experience without user code change,

for example: you can set the user button color blue for cell 1 and green for cell 2, and after the launch you can open Statsig and update the cell parameter and set the color for cell 2 to yellow, the UI will be updated automatically if you tied it to the experiment parameter

The override feature, can give you the ability of ease testing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

Dynamic Config - As a mobile dev, we have many problems with minor data updates like some uuid or something; dynamic config helps us a lot to update those things without worrying about new releases and reviews from the stores.

Support - The support team has always been helpful whenever we were stuck at any point.

Integrating with RN - It was very easy to integrate with our existing app and even better to migrate from the other service we used.

UI - The UI to use it was easy to understand and the level of attention to detail is amazing.

Platform - We have used statsig on multiple platforms and it has never been easier to have cross platform support with almost identical signature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

Overrides - There is no way to edit existing override, we instead have to add new override which would override the existing override

Conditions - There is no way to have OR condition under one rule which becomes slightly difficult

Diagnostics - It would be helpful to see the values user received instead of just the rule, because there are times we update the value and we are not sure if user received the new values or old values Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

Stasig has helped experiment across multiple variants of subscriptions we provide. It has also helped in controlling specific features and updating the data over the fly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

I can do almost anything it crosses my mind. Loading the tool on my website is really fast and has no impact on my speed. Not even Lighthouse is complaining about it (other tools have this problem).

I can do both server-side testing as well as client-side testing with the Sidecar. So my engineers are happy and my marketing peers are happy as well.

We are using it more and more often as a startup.

I love the fact that it offers me confidence when setting up an experiment and tells me if anything looks off.

The dashboard loads blazing fast and the numbers and events are poured in instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

As with any tool that has a LOT of features and power, sometimes it could get hard to decide what you need or what is the best option to move forward. So you could end up spending some time reading the documentation. Luckily, their support team also responds fast so it's a good balance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

For Marketing it helps in improving our conversion rates on our assets. This helps us keeping the costs the same but getting in more leads.

For Product, it helps us understand which features we should cut and where to invest our efforts next. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not much to say here, maybe the timezone issue since we’re in South Korea. But not that big issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

deployment went easy especially features collaborated with other corporates, it was super complex and time consuming but after we adopted Statsig, it was easy as hell Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

Statsig makes it so easy to experiment with new features and measure their impact in a truly data driven way! It exposes the true impact of your changes and allows you to focus on making changes that benefit your customers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

Once you go past 5M events per month it starts to increase in cost but you should be getting out more than you put in by then! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

It makes A/B testing so easy to perform and reduces the burden on engineers trying to test different versions of a feature Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

Statsig's support is extremely responsive and will do everything in their power to resolve your issue. Their team is regularly looking for opportunities to improve the product through both their own roadmap and feedback from customers like us (we get asked regularly!). I can say without a doubt we've seen the feature set grow substantially since our initial implementation less than a year ago and love the monthly update newsletter to read through the exciting changes. For us, this is especially important on the experimentation side of things and I feel that Statsig has slowly helped us up our game in feature validation with capabilities we didn't have with our previous SaaS vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

I think our initial implementation could have gone better in the sense that it felt like there were a lot of small "surprises" of things we felt were slightly lacking when comparing to the current software we were using (for example, out of the box session tracking, etc.). That said, a lot of this is on our team for failing to do enough due diligence in recognizing any gaps and Statsig has done an incredible job to address most of our pain points in a short amount of time. If I had to nitpick, I would say there are so many features that sometimes the current UX makes it difficult to discover all of the capabilities (which is technically a good problem to have). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

If I have to be completely honest, I was initially quite apprehensive about moving to Statsig from some of the larger names in the space. However, I can absolutely say it was the right decision. While Statsig is a newer player in the analytics and experimentation space, they have already proven themselves to be a knowledgable, supportive, fast-growing partner. For us, Statsig has been critical to understand user behavior and to identify issues early on in the life cycle. More-so, they've helped us substantially increase our experimentation capabilities from what I would consider relatively "rudimentary" to "moderate." We've been able to quickly chip away at our backlog of experiments that have languished due to lack of time and resources. The real-time experiments dashboard is easy to understand and digest, as well as to deep dive further into metrics which has helped us not only cut the amount of time it takes to launch an experiment, but to make the analysis significantly easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
