The ability to quickly set up experiments, rely on robust data science tools, and the ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can take awhile to transition your process depending on your existing stack Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Rock solid experimentation tool. Simple, yet high-powered. I use it every day. Critical tool in the day-to-day operation and development of my online software business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been running experiments and A/B tests for 10+ years. While someone without experimentation experience can absolutely get value on Day 1, getting the most out of any tool like Statsig is a long haul investment (that absolutely pays off). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Statsig provides all of the tools necessary for rapid experimentation. Their Holdouts, A/B/N Experiments, Dynamic Configs & Targeting tools are all well designed & implemented so you can experiment & learn quickly. Their team is super smart & eager to help with direct Slack channel connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With great power comes great responsibility. For Statsig, this means you need to invest time to learn the system to unlock the most value from the platform. While their docs & support team are incredibly helpful, I'd like to see future iterations of the platform include turn-key templates for more complicated setups such as multi-site/tenant. Statsig is a valuable tool for conducting experiments. We utilize Statsig to perform experiments on our new features, assessing the outcomes against predefined metrics to inform sound decision-making.
One notable feature of Statsig is its user-friendly feature gate, which enables easy customization. This functionality empowers us to make various adjustments based on the feature gate.
Additionally, Statsig offers console APIs, allowing for customization and integration with existing systems. This flexibility enhances our ability to tailor the tool to specific needs, with numerous possibilities to explore through the feature gate.
The "Explore" tab in Statsig permits us to execute customized queries, facilitating a detailed breakdown based on different groups.
Moreover, Statsig maintains a dedicated Slack channel for production support and the collection of user feedback. Their responsiveness is noteworthy, providing prompt and supportive assistance. This collaborative environment contributes to continuous improvement and the development of new features within our systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Debugging Statsig experiment results can be somewhat challenging. Exporting the entire raw data of an experiment may consume a significant amount of time and generate a large file. In many cases, a more efficient approach is to focus on specific test entities to identify any outliers.
One drawback of raw data export is the absence of group names. To associate entities with their respective groups, it's necessary to export exposures as well. Exploring additional queries in the "Explore" tab could offer a more streamlined solution, allowing for more customized queries without the need to download a sizable experiment file. This approach may enhance the efficiency of result analysis and debugging processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of implementation for ABTEST and the fact that it can connect to multiple analytics tools. The customer support is also extremely reactive to fix issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some feature are not fully functional but they are getting fix very quickly after feedback Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It covers most of statistical advanced analysis for experiments. The only one left is to add regression analysis ;) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not all features worked out of the box, but when we needed them the team helped to implement them. So it is both negative and positive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Statsig provides out of the box all the important metrics a company need by just installing the SDK.
With all the metrics in one easy-to-find place, Statsig then provides all the instruments to meaningfully move those metrics through experiments, making it incredibly easy to create, analyze, and rollout
If all of that wasn't enough, Statsig provides some incredible tools like dynamic configs that make it easy for the company to move faster and focus on what matters Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is little education about the metrics provided, the difference between them, and, more importantly, why they matter
If the user is an experienced product-building person then all is well but the learning curve for people new to the game is sometimes really steep Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is insanely easy to get started with statsig. They support our frontend frameworks and our backend systems not just to feature flag, but to also conduct A/B tests. Their pricing is also significantly more favorable to startups where we have been able to run our experiments without worrying about breaking the bank.
AB testing consumer apps is critical to moving quickly. Statsig has helped us build a far better MVP to go to market. We will be using them for many years to come. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think there is room for improvement with using 3rd party metrics. We use segment for most of our metrics, and getting the ids to play nice with statsig has been difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Setting up our first feature gate was a breeze. Documentation is thorough and placed conveniently throughout the application to make learning new functionality relatively easy. Statsig has many powerful capabilities that we can grow into mastering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Statsig does so much; initially trying to wrap my mind around it wasn't easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Easy-to-use SDKs with excellent documentation
- Rich feature set for various feature gating and experimentation use cases
- Powerful metrics platform, especially the custom metrics with funnel support is super useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Too many different abstractions like Feature Gates / Experiments / Dynamic Config sometimes make it hard to decide which to use since they have overlapping features
- Running multiple sequential experiments on the same parameters requires a code changes, which can be overcome by Layers but the mutual exclusivity of experiments within Layers makes it hard for us to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
