What do you like best about Statsig?

Rock solid experimentation tool. Simple, yet high-powered. I use it every day. Critical tool in the day-to-day operation and development of my online software business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

I've been running experiments and A/B tests for 10+ years. While someone without experimentation experience can absolutely get value on Day 1, getting the most out of any tool like Statsig is a long haul investment (that absolutely pays off). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

* Experimentation is one of the best ways to build product intuition about what actually works on the ground with real users & customers.

* Quantify how much value new features & changes add to the product.

* Risk mitigation: bad features gets detected sooner and can be fixed or rolled back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

Statsig provides all of the tools necessary for rapid experimentation. Their Holdouts, A/B/N Experiments, Dynamic Configs & Targeting tools are all well designed & implemented so you can experiment & learn quickly. Their team is super smart & eager to help with direct Slack channel connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

With great power comes great responsibility. For Statsig, this means you need to invest time to learn the system to unlock the most value from the platform. While their docs & support team are incredibly helpful, I'd like to see future iterations of the platform include turn-key templates for more complicated setups such as multi-site/tenant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

Statsig helps Bonbon quickly learn how consumers react to different direct response messages. We use the platform to measure the engagement rates of different copy variants and can easily see how click rates, session depth, time on site, scroll depth and more are impacted by tweaks to the presentation of our offer messages. What do you like best about Statsig?

Statsig is a valuable tool for conducting experiments. We utilize Statsig to perform experiments on our new features, assessing the outcomes against predefined metrics to inform sound decision-making.

One notable feature of Statsig is its user-friendly feature gate, which enables easy customization. This functionality empowers us to make various adjustments based on the feature gate.

Additionally, Statsig offers console APIs, allowing for customization and integration with existing systems. This flexibility enhances our ability to tailor the tool to specific needs, with numerous possibilities to explore through the feature gate.

The "Explore" tab in Statsig permits us to execute customized queries, facilitating a detailed breakdown based on different groups.

Moreover, Statsig maintains a dedicated Slack channel for production support and the collection of user feedback. Their responsiveness is noteworthy, providing prompt and supportive assistance. This collaborative environment contributes to continuous improvement and the development of new features within our systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

Debugging Statsig experiment results can be somewhat challenging. Exporting the entire raw data of an experiment may consume a significant amount of time and generate a large file. In many cases, a more efficient approach is to focus on specific test entities to identify any outliers.

One drawback of raw data export is the absence of group names. To associate entities with their respective groups, it's necessary to export exposures as well. Exploring additional queries in the "Explore" tab could offer a more streamlined solution, allowing for more customized queries without the need to download a sizable experiment file. This approach may enhance the efficiency of result analysis and debugging processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

The ease of implementation for ABTEST and the fact that it can connect to multiple analytics tools. The customer support is also extremely reactive to fix issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

Some feature are not fully functional but they are getting fix very quickly after feedback Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

The ability to AB test without having to code as the marketing and UX team has to run multiple design to improve our conversion rate and they can do it very quickly. But most importantly having the ability to connect to our other analytics tools which are amplitude and GA4 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

It covers most of statistical advanced analysis for experiments. The only one left is to add regression analysis ;) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

Not all features worked out of the box, but when we needed them the team helped to implement them. So it is both negative and positive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

Their support team is great. They answer fast and help with both experiment questions and tech problems. We used Statsig for our first experiment and they helped a lot. We had calls with representative of other similar tools, but even on the call they didnt show their expertise or level of support. Unlike StatSig.

Right now, we use them for testing our landing pages. But, when our product is finished, we want to use Statsig to test new features. We also like their feature toggle option. It lets us turn features on and off in our tests. Our developer thinks this is a good idea. We might even use feature toggle for our landing page tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

Statsig provides out of the box all the important metrics a company need by just installing the SDK.

With all the metrics in one easy-to-find place, Statsig then provides all the instruments to meaningfully move those metrics through experiments, making it incredibly easy to create, analyze, and rollout

If all of that wasn't enough, Statsig provides some incredible tools like dynamic configs that make it easy for the company to move faster and focus on what matters Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

There is little education about the metrics provided, the difference between them, and, more importantly, why they matter

If the user is an experienced product-building person then all is well but the learning curve for people new to the game is sometimes really steep Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

Makes it easy to create and analyze experiments and features, this enable shipping software 10x faster, each feature can be in production from day 0 and no big bang releases are needed, each feature can then be A/B tested and the results analyzed and see the impact on important metrics Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

It is insanely easy to get started with statsig. They support our frontend frameworks and our backend systems not just to feature flag, but to also conduct A/B tests. Their pricing is also significantly more favorable to startups where we have been able to run our experiments without worrying about breaking the bank.

AB testing consumer apps is critical to moving quickly. Statsig has helped us build a far better MVP to go to market. We will be using them for many years to come. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

I think there is room for improvement with using 3rd party metrics. We use segment for most of our metrics, and getting the ids to play nice with statsig has been difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed to quickly turn off some features for a portion of our userbase. Statsig was by far the quickest way to make that happen. We almost always feature flag new features through statsig now to get better data around the efficacy of said features.

We have been very unsure about certain language/copy on our website, statsig helped us quickly land on the right choices. Rather than getting caught up in meetings debating what is best, our users made the decision because of statsig.

Most importantly it helps us move in the right direction. We are able to see which features are improving our UX and which ones not so much. So we as a company can spend our limited resources where it matters most. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Statsig?

Setting up our first feature gate was a breeze. Documentation is thorough and placed conveniently throughout the application to make learning new functionality relatively easy. Statsig has many powerful capabilities that we can grow into mastering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

Statsig does so much; initially trying to wrap my mind around it wasn't easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are building a cloud-management layer for hyper-converged server infrastructure, so we can't afford to release breaking changes, but we also need to be agile and test new features with early access users. After evaluating alternatives, we chose Statsig because of its incredibly low cost of entry, ease of implementation, and the exciting idea that the same tool we use for feature flags can also be extended into A/B testing and other customization. With very minimal effort, we had Statsig code implemented and were granularly managing the staged rollout of one of our new features. We've had no issues, and I'm excited to continue using it for feature flagging and growing into using it for A/B testing and the even more robust statistical analysis functionality Statsig already has and is continuing to develop. What do you like best about Statsig?

- Easy-to-use SDKs with excellent documentation

- Rich feature set for various feature gating and experimentation use cases

- Powerful metrics platform, especially the custom metrics with funnel support is super useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Statsig?

- Too many different abstractions like Feature Gates / Experiments / Dynamic Config sometimes make it hard to decide which to use since they have overlapping features

- Running multiple sequential experiments on the same parameters requires a code changes, which can be overcome by Layers but the mutual exclusivity of experiments within Layers makes it hard for us to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Statsig solving and how is that benefiting you?

Allows measuring incremental changes to our product through A/B tests. Previously we were using firebase experiments, which had a limitation of running separate experiments for iOS and Android and required us to combine results manually. Statsig helps us run them as a single experiment and provides powerful metrics to easily measure impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
