It's user friendly. there is no one else to lead me how to use it, i could run and search my questions via it succesfully. The page is simple but efficiency when i want to find the answers.
But the best part is, it's really good when you are a freshman in the company or if you are in the new position and want to know more information about your business. you can search the answers with key words, the latest information will make you to work independently.
it's really good when it's a big worldwide company just like me, the teammates will share the knowledge, training, useful material ,etc. to make the things you want to know go smoothly.

i haven't make questions yet. so there may be something i don't konw.
but basically speaking, sometimes if i want to search the things by the key words, it may not jump out the answers i am looking for.
i will take the examples if i meet in future.

I can get quick support from experts in domain where I know no-one, and this support is then available for everyone else. So if someone already asked for the same as I, I can find answer to my question in already answered questions.
It works similarly like helpdesk/support in our corporate, but seems like much more efficiently, without creating unnecessary overhead, and also quicker. Because it directly notifies an expert in relevant domain if a question is asked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can't really find a disadvantage of this. I also personally contribute as an expert in my own field. Perhaps the searching can be enhanced with filtering options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
> It's easy to use.
> It helps us solve 95% of questions, with 4.7/5 in terms of quality.
> Around 67 % of questions get an answer within 24h. That's a massive improvement compared to what it was (sometimes It took weeks to get an answer).
Our colleagues have estimated that each answer helps save 6h40 on average per question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
> The current gamification, it's only points with no real meaning of what each level represents. This should not be a real problem and could be solved soon if they get a team to work on this.
> The automatic emails that are sent to staff, I'm not able to control what goes out. I believe that they are working to improve this.
> Users can't take away keywords from their profile, so some of them get notifications about topics they are not interested in. They should be on this already and I hope to see positive changes on this quite soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The network is not only open for simple yes or no answers. It is also a place where opinions count. Correcting an answer is as possible as adding information to give a little background knowledge which often helps to understand the reason why. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Starmind is very powerful for finding answers in a vast range of subjects. However I do miss the classification of urgency a bit. I would welcome an option to place a time critical question which can either be implemented with a count down by when the question needs to be answered. This way a core circle could be notified to help immediately. Or simply make it possible to log into starmind and set the option of being available for urgent questions. It's anonymous and simple to use tool for all types of users. It attracts user to come and contribute and ask questions because of how it has been setup. I believe everyone is different and finds different ways to learn new things. And, starmind gives one good option for people to learn things through asking any type of questions which can help their perspectives immensely.
My personal belief is in today's world where most of the teams work globally working in different locations at different time zones, knowledge risk can be mitigated in a efficient way but also more impactful (because human being become more powerful in their own roles the moment they start getting perspectives and answers from starmind can be more than just an answer) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, the freedom that starmind gives can make people use the tool for the random comments as well but I would like to be optimistic and looking at the larger good impact, it should be fine but can be managed.
This data to get structured information from non-structured at some point of time when we want to use it for varieties of audience and create a further benefit Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the low entry barriers of Starmind the most:
1. It's very easy to use and has great user interface
2. Since questions are posted anonymously everybody can ask any question, which helps that all sort of questions are out there
3. People like to answer questions, because they know they'll be helping a colleague
4. The notifications are great, you can stay on top of the topics you're interested in / you're an expert in Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes people 'abuse' the anonymity of asking questions to voice their frustration about something, but in the end the community reacts quite quickly and a professional manner to such events, for example by replying that it's not really a questions or pointing to other means of addressing such issues.
