The best is more time saving..

The best thing about starling is the ease of use and the time it saves my team. We no longer have to mess around trying to format W.I.'s in MS office, print them out and laminate them. We instead can create W.I.'s in a matter of minutes and have them hosted to the operators via tablets immediately on approval.

Other features which are real benefits is the CR request, where operators can feedback any issues with the W.I's in real time.

The fact that it can also manage all of our skills matrix really makes Starling a winner for any manufacturing company.

The best thing is that there are no standalone servers required, no special S/W needs to be installed, as long as you have an internet connection and web browser you can view W.I's anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is not much to dislike about Starling to be honest.

However it would be nice to see some data capture features added for SPC and inspection data, but this is more an improvement than a dislike and I believe the developers are looking into these fetures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software functionality from a document creator's perspective is intuitive and has been a turning point in the way our work instructions are created and managed. Previously, we managed instructions in MS office and editing documents and releasing and archiving was a challenge, now using Starling streamlines this and removes the difficulties and limitations we previously worked with. It's easy to use meaning that our less computer literate operators are not left behind.

Highlights specific changes on new versions, making version approvals much quicker.

Reduced migration friction with the ability to use PDF's from paper system until the new electronic format is created, allowing updates on change.

It would be better if it could integrate with our ERP system to access the instructions directly from there. The notifications don't time out if the notification is no longer relevant, but they aren't too intrusive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
