The Newsfeed where all employees can post whatever they would like to share. I really haven't seen them asking questions but feel it would be a great tool to do so.

Take it for a test run with some excited potential users.

Communication and collaboration amongst users. Of course, these benefits are only realized from employees who have adopted the app.

We noticed you mentioned not being able to reply to comments. At Staffbase we're really big on interaction and engagement at all levels, which is why our platform supports a number of social features like, @mentions, sharing, liking, and replying. 

Depending on the settings in your platform, commenting may be limited in certain channels. This is left up to you platform's admins and editors.

With the App you can reach all employess anywhere at anytime // it´s easy to use not only for "digital natives" but for all employees.  We use it for Global Management Communication (not all employees) - it allows to communicate to different user groups within different business units.

There is not much I can think of. We really like staffbase at our company.

This system allows you to create a bespoke app (iOS, Android, desktop) for a company of any size. The onboarding service was excellent with support, training, and ideas from the dedicated Staffbase team.

Could do with some more plug-in tools, but these are coming.

We have been able to reach staff on a range on platforms independent of their position in the company, IT skill or available technology.

That the product is largely self-explanatory for both admins AND users from the beginning. The continuous development of the product and the regular newsletters about the development are really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Videos that last longer than a few minutes or involve larger amounts of data are (still) not suitable for Staffbase because they cause long loading times and make the user lose interest. However, work is being done on this.

We needed a single platform to provide news and information to employees throughout the U.S. -- with the caveat that 60 percent of our employees are non-desk, frontline workers.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

The only piece that we're missing -- and it's probably on our side not Staffbase's is that we cannot embed our payroll app into our app so that users wouldn't have to either have two apps -- or login to the payroll website if they use the link from our app. If the payroll app were seamlessly embedded into our app, even the most reluctant employees would have all the more reason to adopt our app.

We can communicate with employees from the Canadian boarder, down to the Gulf of Mexico and easy to Appalachia. We have separate channels that target specific brands. We have instant push notification capability for emergencies. We can provide information in real time. We have two-way communication, which is how communication is supposed to work ...

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

The Staffbase newsfeed function is fantastic. You can schedule posts to be published and unpublished as well as use push notifications and email notifications. Any news channel can be targeted to a group or multiple groups and/or individual users.

2020 Update: This product was instrumental in communicating news and procedure changes to our employees.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

There's not a great method for a document library because each file is embedded on the page or post. The workaround is to create a page in a hidden folder that holds all of your files and then you can reference them later, but that requires a basic understanding of html.

**Recommendations to others considering Staffbase:**

Have them build you a trial site and try out the administration functions.

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have multiple companies, multiple divisions in multiple states so it's really difficult to get consistent messaging out to our front line employees. With this method, we can send information to every single employee regardless of work environment, location or rank.

It is very easy to quickly create posts and/or modify content. It takes much less to administer than our previous intranet system.

I think a document management system that ties into the App would be nice. I don't really like the pages view/ I would prefer that it be displayed differently and be in alphabetical order.

We are able to communicate to all employees very quickly now. We use the Chat feature for Managers/Directors to directly communicate with their employees. We upload our lunch menu so employees can plan to eat in our cafeteria or pack their lunch.

We use two features in Staffbase heavily the chat and press releases.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

The analytics are not really sufficient to help understand who is not interacting with the app.  The app is about very positive interactions, but managers need to know who is avoiding a resource.

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use chat assigned by the models we support.  Our users send requests for help to out 230 person field team for repair suggestions, tips, and tricks to help with a symptom they are facing.  This allows us to crowd source a repair instead of relying on a smaller teams experience.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

The Staffbase platform for adding content to your enterprise application is EXTREMELY easy to use. Adding content requires no  prrior HTML experience, and they are constantly adding widgets and new features based on what their clients are adding to the app to help make the experience easier. It was also a very short time from signing the contract to getting the backend of the app set up for us to add content. They respond  instantaneously to any issues, of which there are hardly any. It is a very solid app.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

It's really hard to dislike anything. If I had to say one thing, I would say that sometimes the cost per license should be based on those who have downloaded the app versus those who are invited because it makes it harder for larger organizations to then select employees to add and remove from the invite list if employees just haven't had a chance to download the app yet. Because then employees who are invited but have not downloaded yet are taking up licenses you are paying for, but you can't invite new employees to take up those licenses on a first-come, first-serve basis because then you would have to pay extra just to invite new employee groups (with the other option being removing the employees who have not yet downloaded to reuse those licenses to invite new employee groups). This makes it hard to drive engagement to wider employee groups.

**Recommendations to others considering Staffbase:**

Staffbase uses very modern technology. You may actually need to work harder with your internal IT teams where there is a connection to internal systems to ensure that their technologies can support any integration points.

Reaching a remote audience. This allows us to more easily send them communications and news without having to log into their laptops on the road.

best of all, is the extreme easy handling ot the staffbase tool, which the users and editors really appreciate. And it's really a pleasure to use /and work with the staffbase tool.

Easy to use system (front- and backend), very flexible when it comes to changing the design, steady further development, nice features (launchpad, accordeon widget, ...), nearly no training for editors needed, nice/modern look and feel

Sometimes inflexible for instance when it comes to using customized HTML code (e.g. iframe, mapped pictures)

The great thing about the Staffbase app is it has meant that whilst we have had colleagues on furlough, we have been able to communicate with them, and update them on the business. We have also used the app to provide a way that colleagues can ask questions to the business, as well as recognising and thanking other colleagues

There really is nothing to dislike. As the admin it is really easy to upload content, and for the end user it is really easy to navigate

Being able to communicate with remote workers, and those that are not on email

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

Staffbase have always been very easy to contact - they respond quickly, and always with a solution. There have been certain things I have asked if the app can do, and whenever the answer is 'no', they will always offer an alternative solution or workaround. The fact we can also make suggestions for upcoming features in the app is great. The training they provided for user management and content build is really good - helped by the fact the Administration side is so easy to use and self-explanatory. Shout out to Julien, Mariana, Alex, Amit and Mel for all their hard work helping us get our comms app up and running!

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

I'm genuinely struggling to think of anything we don't like. 

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have the majority of our staff out in the field, so historically have found it difficult to engage with them - but we're finding with the app, they're engaging so much more (in fact, even more than our office based staff!).

The back end is really simple to use, even for those who are not used to using platforms like this. The user experience has also been really positive with staff finding it easy to navigate around the app.

I honestly can't think of any downsides.

The staffbase implementation team were extremely helpful and supportive through out the whole process. The app delivers everything that we need.

Upsides of using Staffbase for your internal communications are the level of engagement you can create between employees. It doesn't mather where they work, our employees are always in direct contact with eachother. It is a great way to share content with our employees as well!

No real dislikes to be honest. If they could improve the Push Notifcations that would be great though.

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a major communication gap with our technicians. We solved this with Staffbase. Our technicians are always on the road and don't see eachother very often. With the Staffbase app we're able to create a community from all our technicians: the internal but especially the external ones.

The platform is user-friendly, both from the admin side and from the user side. Our employees love the interface and its ability to catch up on company news on their time using the mobile app.

Nothing! Staffbase labs is a great tool for gathering ideas and it's wonderful that so many of them are incorporated into new product releases. 

**Recommendations to others considering Staffbase:**

I am a one-person department managing internal and external comms for a 2300 employee company. This platform enables me to manage content easily without relying on IT support. Its analytics are great in that you can quickly tweak your content to better target comms that matter to your audience. The platform is secure and with using SSO, it's great to know that our confidential company comms can't fall into the wrong hands.

We needed an intranet tool that would convenient for our non-desk workers. We've really been able to engage this segment and help them feel more involved in the company.

Sometimes we think of a function that we would like for our app but either the technology is not there or it's not part of our platform. Staffbase is always able to work with us on a solution however and they are always upgrading their features.

Our goal has always been to use Staffbase as a communications tool and that's where we see the benefit - allowing us to communicate, inform and cheer at every level of the organization even those at different units and at non-desk positions (which is most of our users)

Administration is very manageable to my busy schedule. Posting news and resources for employees can be done in a matter of minutes. Love the push notification function of the App. The employee directory is our most utilized function.

As the administrator, I wish I could have access to profiles in order to manually change items such as titles and job location. I do not want to have to do entire CSV import for just one person.

Internal communications has a HUGE impact on business outcomes.Using a mobile-first approach, it allows internal communicators to reach all of their employees through multiple channels such as news feeds, a mobile magazine, messenger, and surveys.

The Staffbase chat function offers one-to-one and group messaging. Like all other Staffbase features, chat can be unlocked individually—allowing you to pick the right features at the right time. It can be a pro and a con.
