Maddie McKay is a great partner for us and we're so glad to have her along on the project.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Two things: 1) I wish the technical team had more of a sense of urgency; 2) The Idea Portal is awesome, but I feel like it's where great ideas go to die.

Our new mobile app has been awesome for communication, especially to our deskless employees.

- The Outlook plug-in! It's really buggy, often doesn't save your work 
- API is lacking, which limits what we can do with the data behind it as it won't be compatible with our dashboard
- The selling - always feel like they are asking me questions so they can try and sell me more things (that said this isn't too much of a hard sell and it does seem to come from a place of understanding our business and comms challenges)

- Efficiency - we can create recognisable, professional-looking branded emails easily
- Insight - we can use the data insight to refine our content and make recommendations

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

I really like the ease of use. I have used other packages previously but this one is so easy and simple to use.  You don't need to be the best designer to get a product that looks professional and engaging.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Nothing I don't yet like. If I had to be picky, it would possibly be the way you have to log in as other users to send from that account, as opposed to simply changing the 'From' field, but it really is a minor niggle!

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Main thing is removal of text heavy emails so bringing in more images and video content that provides an improved employee experience and a great level of engagement with the communications.

We use the news feeds for company-wide and local news, and the functionality allows us to tailor news to specific audiences.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

It would be great to have the option to create user groups by uploading a csv file of email addresses as creating user groups for specific people (something that is to bespoke to do with the tags we have). This would help for adhoc communications.

The knowledge base is really handy, and the support team is helpful and quick to reply to queries. They are always followed up to make sure everything is ok.

There's actually nothing we dislike. Naturally, some specific features we would like to have, are not (yet) implemented. 
For a smaller organisation, the costs are on the upper level. But the product and service as well as the potential of developing use cases are worth the price.

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a state-of-the-art communication platform, we can reach all our staff at short notice, including non-desk workers and volunteers.  As a complex organisation with different business units under one roof, we have all the possibilities for target group-specific content. This increases attention to content, staff activity, interaction and ultimately productivity.

Ease of use - and the syncing with Workday has been an absolute game-changer for open rates. It's so easy to make great-looking content and share it with the business.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

The open rates were SO off before we synced with Workday. We are a Google company, so everyone's locations is the US. And the data trends in the platform don't use our Workday data.

Tracking employee engagement, sharing content from different users, and making it all look nice in the process.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

Creates beautiful newsletters/emails, integrates well into Outlook, has email test sending ability, and tracks clicks and opened emails. I appreciate the clean and consistent look you end up with. You can include videos, images, links, and quotes.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Limitations and many little issues that slow you down, including an inability to move things around or resize images freely (very restricted), font colors don't save (you have to keep copying hex numbers for consistency), font sizing and selection can get weird. You have to open html if the text is copied. Spacing items isn't user-friendly. I also can't copy sections from one template to a new one - it's really difficult when I need only section copied over, and need to update it!

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team sends newsletters and campaign reviews regularly - Stafbase has helped keep our look very consistent, dense with information, organized, and allows for streamlined resources to be included. Our team has a cohesive outward 'look' when it comes to major communications. We can track which types of communications are opened and used by our colleagues.

From a user perspective there is everything you would expect from modern software-tools.  From an admin perspective it is very easy to learn and then to cusotmize it.  A great tool to bring your internal communication to the next level. 

The support team reacts fast and very competent - beginning with implemenation and ongoing to this day.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Minor things to be improved, such as organizing News-channels e.g. in alphabetic order or copy & paste function for pages.

Communication from a central point. Instead of flodding the organization with even more e-mails there is now a modern and easy to consume way to inform either the hole population or just a single target group.

Staffbase provides a platform for communicating with all employees, both desk worker and non-desk worker. We can reach all employees directly and on short notice. Furthermore, Staffbase enables us to get in contact with other customers and to build our own network of communication experts.

Some add-on features could have more detailed functionalities and are quite "basic". However, we see that Staffbase is constantly working on those topics like adding the reading confirmation to the chat function.

Staffbase enables us to reach all employees at the same time, even those who do not have an email account. It also enables the employees to give feedback and react to our communication.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

The functionality of Staffbase meant that they could apply anything and everything we needed to our comms app, having in-built tools for all requirements.
Flexibility of the onboarding process meant we were able to rapidly produce our app in a short period of time.
The people at Staffbase were always friendly, helpful and on-hand.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Perhaps more hands on assistance in creating the content structure of the app. Understandably this is set up so internal admins get to know the app, and have full control over content, but if we were able to provide written content/images/plans to the Staffbase team for them to contribute to the physical building of pages/channels, the process could have been sped up even more.

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communications to and between frontline care staff. This reduces the burden on location managers to disseminate information in a fast-paced care environment when they have other pressing responsibilities. All colleagues can now directly see important company updates, fun news pieces, valuable policies/tools etc. They can also interact with colleagues across the group, understanding peer experience.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

We have already been using the Staffbase employee app internationally for two years and are now expanding it to include the intranet package. Both our editors and our employees are super happy with the uncomplicated handling of the app that can be used in a web version as well as on business and private smartphones. We are more than satisfied with the functions and our account managers are also doing a great job. Thank you Staffbase for making our internal communication so much easier and better!

Some features could use a little more refinement. For example, you can't change a channel type once it's been set.

With Staffbase we can reach employees all around the world - very quick and very easy. We also like very much that they can react and comment to new posts. It's as easy as Social Media and almost everyone knows how to handle it intuitively.

The app application itself is great and the people. I especially like that feedback is always welcome and taken into account, for example, in the features that are released on a regular basis.

There is really nothing negative to say. If I would give something as an improvement, then it is the - sometimes - somewhat longer waiting times for support requests by mail.

Staffbase's app application helps us reach all employees worldwide. We do not have many different communication platforms, only one. With a registration rate of 99 percent, the success speaks for itself.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

Before Staffbse, our company had no way of knowing if employees were opening our company-wide emails, much less engaging with them. Staffbase makes it easy to send nicely formatted emails while tracking all of the key metrics we were previously lacking when sending through Outlook.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Staffbase's process for sending a test email could be improved. Their current functionality sends from a Staffbase email address and puts a watermark over all of the pictures, so it is hard to get a feel for how your email will truly look and if the display name looks correct. I have a workaround for this, but it adds a few extra steps to the process: I clone my email draft and send it as an actual email to a special test distribution group I created. It works, but it would be great if Staffbase improved their existing test process.

I'd also like to be able to send from whatever email alias I want from my account, instead of having to jump into the account that I want the email to come from in order to create and send it.

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to create consistent-looking templates with my company's branding on them for numerous departments, so they are ready to go whenever we need to send out an email. This saves time instead of having to hunt down the right email banner. Staffbase also shows me how employees are engaging with the content we're sending.

Building emails with Staffbase is incredibly simple and offers loads of great features including the ability to include images, gifs and polls.

The staffbase desktop browser app doesn't offer desktop notifiactions for the integrate chat function.
The mobile app doesn't offer a "night mode" that helps to safe battery,

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

We've been using Staffbase Emails for 1 year already, and the improvement of our email communication is great. First, we have the data. With the open, read, and click rates we can analyze which types of emails perform well and which need improvements. Second, we like the simplicity of the email constructor. Before this tool, we used just Outlook for sending. Now we can play with formats, engagement, blocks, colors, etc. And this definitely improve the analytics.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

We would love to have email personalization as it is something that makes an email more related to the recipient. I know that Staffbase is working on this feature, so we are looking forward :)

Staffbase Emails provide us with data about email communication. Before having this data, our requestors of communications could say that nobody reads emails. But now we can provide the data and prove the efficiency of communication.

The idea, and how it promotes colleague interaction around the business. Plus it's a fun platform to use. It bridges the gap between communications and geting colleagues to engage.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

I would like to see a few more customisation tools, such as changing background colours and additional features, such as polls, and questions that people can engage with whilst on the app.

Getting information to our employees in a more interactive way and allowing colleagues to interact with each other and the information we share with them. We also run quizzes and competitions which our employees enjoy.

Before Staffbase, our team didn't have a consistent and easy way to communicate changes and updates to our teams of  3000+ employees. Now, with customized lists and templates, we're way more efficient in reaching the right folks in a timely manner.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Our emails look great when opened on the mobile Gmail app, but I don't like how the margins appear on a desktop. Our team got in touch with Staffbase and unfortunately, there is no way to change it.

The internal comms team can now easily send various communications from the leadership team and HR teams. We recently launched a monthly newsletter, so it's really helped us deliver important news as well as fun updates.

The usability, the ease of access for different employees (blue collar, white collar), the app and web access, the intutive UI and UX and the statistics options.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Updates and new features are not available for everyone, especially not "old" customers, there is a lack of flexibility for smaller or medium sized organisations.

We can reach all of our employees at work, on their private devices and at home, although we are working in a very regulated IT environment with VPN and very harsh IT regulations.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

The handling in Staffbase Experience Studio is super intuitive and you can design an intranet completely according to your wishes and requirements. The app's whitelabel solution is particularly great- the corporate branding remains and employees feel even more connected to the company. The onboarding was also very good, in which the Staffbase team supported us at all times with their advice and knowledge.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Overall, there is not much to criticize. The Staffbase team is continuously working on new features and improvements, so that you as a customer always have the latest software.

Through the Staffbase employee app, we reach all employees at our different sites without exception. Whether production or office, no information is lost anymore.  This makes our employees feel more informed and motivated. Our new intranet finally gives us a platform for professional, internal communication.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

Staffbase allows comms teams to easily create HTML emails and then track open and click rates. This saves time in design work and provides insight into employee engagement.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

It can be a little bumpy to set up if you don't have the full support of internal IT. Once we worked through these challenges, it went very smoothly and is self sufficient.

It allows us to create professional emails using a template, branded by our design team. We can track employee engagement to understand which communications are resonating with employees.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

The support is quickly accessible and extremely friendly and helpful. The functions within the app are very intuitive. I especially like the easy creation of pages using the widgets. I also like the fact that the app is very well presented on the mobile device.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

The platform is not cheap, but worth its price. I would like a widget for embedding iFrames.

This solves our problem of quickly reaching all our distributed employees on their desktops and on the move. We also provide a lot of information for our employees and various HR processes. Furthermore we use the employee directory.

Employees now receive important information via push notification directly to their mobile device and can access information from anywhere.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

StaffBase is an incredibly easy to use tool. I use it for morning media round ups daily, and was surprised at how easy it was to get to grips with the system, as I'd never used it before. The range of features to customise internal emails and align them with our brand guidelines has made life incredibly easy when settling into a new role. The integration with Outlook works seamlessly and I am able to distribute from numerous accounts.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

It's difficult for me to say, as I have no real complaints about the product - although I do prefer the name BananaTag! The scheduled distributions do not always work for me, though, so I often send my emails manually to avoid anything being missed.

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to joining the business, morning media briefings were done in Outlook and were pure text. It looked unprofessional and inconsistent. StaffBase has allowed me to revitalise these briefings and keep them within brand guidelines. The feedback I have received has been wholly positive, and StaffBase has helped ensure that we are keeping our people informed each morning with a digest relevant to the business.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

It integrates with Outlook well, it's user friendly and creates a professional looking email. It also lets you integrate with your online training platform or event management system.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

On a PC, the content of the email only displays in the middle of the page, which means there's large blank black boxes at the edges. It's not a huge concern but would be good if this was looked at by the team at some point.

It lets you save branded templates to save time when sending regular communications.

There are regular appointments. Mostly once a week at the beginning of the project.
They have a very well structured plan where every important step is noted that we have to work on. 
A customer success manager and a technichal contact person accompany the appointments.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Every point is strict scheduled. For a company who has not so many employers it's sometimes exhausting because not everybody has always the opportunity to work on one project.

They helped us to design the colors in our corporate design. This is very important for us because of the high recognition value.
They helped us to configure SSO so that we just need one account.

**What do you like best about Staffbase?**

Staffbase makes it possible to create professional-looking corporate communications and track a range of metrics related to employee engagement with emails. I have had no trouble incorporating our brand colours, logos etc. into the templates. Our Staffbase Customer Success Manager (Reece Parker) has been on hand to help us optimise our usage, answer any queries and offer suggestions to improve our internal communications - he is friendly and knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble.

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Initially (without any training) the email builder was a little tricky to get to grips with. Again, our Enablement sessions with Reece were really useful and tailored to how we use Staffbase.

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staffbase lets us measure engagement with our internal emails, so we can learn what types of content are most and least effective. Sometimes communications are urgent, and Staffbase allows corporate-branded emails to be built rapidly using the templates.

I love the level of detail we are able to pull from the analytics of our internal company emails. It's helped tremendously with our strategy and planning.

I wish that we could embed videos rather than just links directly into our communications. We have found that utilizing multiple forms of communication work well with our employees and that's one aspect that we know our users respond well to.

It's helping us show the value of our internal comms team. With the insight that we get through open rates and click-through rates, we can show that our communications are being viewed and leading to action from our employees.

We are an international company that needs to inform the users of local and corporate information. With the combination of the app used on corporate and private devices and the desktop web browser version for office workers, we can easily reach almost everyone at any time!

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

From the company, there is not much to dislike. The studio editor for creating the site could need some modern enhancements. Building up the button and menu navigation can be confusing and lengthy. And the CSS and HTML possibilities could be more flexible.

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using the  Staffbase employee solution, we now reach all employees from production and office at different sites and countries just the same! 
Our intranet became a professional, internal communication platform for all employees.

I like that I can reach most, if not all, of the 2,000+ employees in the organization, people with whom I have to communicate and who I could not have reached otherwise.

Creating news channels and associating them with news pages is sometimes burdensome. It's a tedious task, but once you get rolling, you get used to it. Also, the forms tool could use some translation options, similar to the pages/news features.

Accessibility for all employees (even without an email address), intuitive back-end, clarity for users, ease of customization (through user groups), project support by CSM, technical support from Staffbase is so well organized that we were able to implement the project almost without IT.

Improvement potential concerns the structure, filter functions, and clarity of the pages and news. Customization should be enhanced, i.e., users should be able to create or select their own link favorites.

Staffbase email metrics are easy to understand and presented logically.  Detailed info like heatmaps add to the "standards" of open and clickthrough rates. Easy to run reports and compare date ranges on the fly

**What do you dislike about Staffbase?**

Output of metrics to spreadsheet has been glitchy lately, hopefully to be fixed in a near future upgrade. More detailed metrics such as a standardized "engagement" or "attention" metric (time to view page, depth of page read, etc.) would add to the already good info. 

Price is fairly high for a mid-size organization. It's easy for our comms department to justify the $ but always challenging to get the finance folks to understand.

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staffbase provides us with metrics on our internal communications -- which have been based on Google Workspace/Gmail/Google Sites -- with much more information than can be found within the native G-suite apps. Knowing what our readers are resonating with helps us craft more of what they want and less of what they don't.

It is a great feature to reach all staff members immediately by using the push notification. Even in crisis communication, especially while the COVID-19 pandemic situation, we are able to notify out staff about changes of the working situation.

It would be great to be able to create a folder structure in the backend to organize our content (in the frontend, this can be done with the menu).

**What problems is Staffbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staffbase allows us to give content and quick informations to the smartphones and tablets of our staff. They now don't need to carry large folders full of documents with them to events because they have all plans, charts, information at their fingertips, even when not carrying a laptop with them. and we can reach them at events without calling them or texting messages via SMS service. Changes of information and documents are made just in time.
