**What do you like best about Stacks?**

An innovative tool that helps streamline the month-end process. It’s currently in a high-growth start-up phase, so there are always new developments, and the team takes customer feedback on board. Integration with NetSuite is, understandably, very good.

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

Since it’s still growing, there are a few areas it doesn’t handle particularly well yet. The UX is okay, but definitely not the best. It’s also not at a stage where we can use it to post journals and pull data in, so I can’t replace my existing solutions with it. Flux analysis is fine, but it still feels limited to month-on-month only.

**What problems is Stacks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stacks brings all of our month-end tasks together in one place, which makes it much easier to see where we are in the process.

**What do you like best about Stacks?**

UI looks modern and easy to navigate, which simplifies the internal team's training. Plus, the Stacks team were great with onboarding and training as well as ongoing customer support.
The automated matching in the cash reconciliation tool works well with minimal errors made.

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

To move past the initial rollout stage and drive higher automation, we need enhanced visibility through live stats providing insights into fully automated matching rates, common error trends, accounts with the lowest automation levels, and a breakdown of transactions that consistently require manual intervention.

UI: for a cash rec tool, it needs to be a bit more interactive from the user perspective - more varied sorting and filtering, all pages displaying the checklist/bank rec that the team is working on, live status if others are working on the same account.

Journals: suggested journals for unmatched transactions, drop-downs, and pre-filled suggested info for all journal fields to speed up posting, as the user can currently complete postings faster in NetSuite by copying a previous journal.

The Stacks cash rec tool currently handles matching very well. However, the journaling functionality needs additional work. Because journaling isn't quite there yet, users are slower to fully transition to Stacks—instead, they are combining it with NetSuite, which ultimately diminishes the value-add of the new tool.

**What problems is Stacks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cash matching is based on learnings the system generates on its own; previously, it was based on formulas manually entered by users, saving time and effort. 
Stacks Excel helper for journal posting simplifies bulk csv uploads by flagging errors before the journal fails at upload stage.

**What do you like best about Stacks?**

I like how Stacks connects really easily to NetSuite. The data flow from the GL to Stacks is seamless, which I find really advantageous. It's ready to go with minimal need for additional input, which saves me a lot of time. The implementation was pretty easy too, as we were live within the first month. The tool was implemented very quickly by the team.

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

The AI reconciliation agent in Stacks hasn't met expectations. It doesn't allow for two reconciliations for the same account, forcing you to choose, which is restrictive compared to the transaction matching tool that gives more freedom. Also, the AI agent is rigid in proposing journals and doesn't let you pin necessary fields, requiring them to be added manually each time. It's not adept at identifying complex transactions like intercompany transfers. More customization on the flux analytics side would be appreciated.

**What problems is Stacks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stacks helps with close management, PNL analytics, and reconciliation across multiple bank accounts, saving time and centralizing data for comprehensive overview using a flux analysis tool.

**What do you like best about Stacks?**

The excel wizard has drastically saved our team time. We also enjoy the bank recs and checklist (however, these features can be found in a lot of other softwares). The support is 10/10, it's never a struggle to get an answer and anything that does take longer the team are always communicating and looking for a solution. The support makes the product feel bespoke as the team build for us. 
In terms of UX/UI we are finding the odd glitch or poor UX/UI but because of the support team these are often fixed very quickly. Our suggestions are taken onboard.
I'm surprised by how well stacks performs with our large data set. At the start when it was struggling the engineer team sorted it so it worked more efficiently.
For how we're using it now, the price is steep, but the team are constantly coming out with new additions such as flux so hopefully when it comes time to renew the contract, it will seem worth the price.

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

I'm not feeling so far that it's worth the price. While we do get a lot of good capability, I'm not seeing a high ROI on it. For example we paid for a high transaction amount because of paypal, which stacks is not yet capable of helping us with.

**What problems is Stacks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The excel wizard is saving us a lot of time on posting and editing journals, as well as improving our audit trail. The checklist has really improved our team organisation and the stacks team have been listening to our suggestions on improvements that can help with auditing. I haven't had much time to look at flux yet, but I can already see it being beneficial. Bank recs are easier but there is still some manual work needed to post transactions for stacks to match against - a process we could improve ourselves but I would like to see stacks be able to post other transactions instead of just journals.

**What do you like best about Stacks?**

The Excel Assistant is easily my favorite feature. It saves me a significant amount of time during our month-end workflows. It is a massive upgrade and much more efficient compared to the old, manual CSV importer we used to rely on.

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

My biggest frustration with Stacks is their approach to user feedback. We have requested necessary fixes for the tools we use daily, but they do not seem to be a priority for the development team. When a vendor consistently ignores requests to improve their existing features, it feels dismissive and makes us feel undervalued as customers.

**What problems is Stacks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stacks solves two major problems for me: workflow visibility and time-consuming manual entry. The checklist tool has significantly improved our internal organization, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Additionally, the platform saves me a massive amount of time when posting journals, making my daily processes much more efficient.

Using Stack in our month-end processes at Future PLC has improved significantly, largely because of the efficiency this tool has brought to uploading journals.

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

At the moment, the integration between product codes and IDs is still being worked out by Stacks in collaboration with our Finance Systems team. This is currently a roadblock and is preventing us from fully utilising the tool.

**What problems is Stacks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Massive journal entries—often over 1,000 lines—can be processed, reviewed, and approved, with the ability to make changes on the fly quickly. This feels revolutionary compared to how this was done in the past.

It has helped our teams identify common errors with their journals before they attempt to upload them into our system - this is has reduced the amount of time spent waiting for the error file to be supplied and the attempts made before the files go through.

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

The products are shown by name instead of unique ID - this means where some of our data has the same name, employees have to be careful to use the correct one.

Reducing the time I have to spend supplying error files so that uploads can go through quicker.

**What do you like best about Stacks?**

That the Stacks team are always willing to listen to suggestions and make changes to the product based on feedback. The team are so responsive and care a lot. Also, the journal excel feature is excellent

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

The feature set is somewhat limited, which I guess is normal for a business that’s still scaling. For example, right now we can’t do balance sheet flux analysis or run flux analysis on custom fields within the NetSuite environment (such as internal mapping).

**What problems is Stacks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The speed of journal uploads is a real plus. I also like being able to carve out outliers in Flux analysis, which makes it easier to focus on what actually needs attention. The checklists are helpful for maintaining an audit trail and staying on top of month-end close.

Stacks has been a huge help for keeping our team’s workflow organized and efficient. The UI is intuitive and easy to navigate, which made onboarding quick for our team. It’s also reliable. One unexpected benefit has been how much easier it is to collaborate across teams and keep everyone aligned without endless back-and-forth.

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

One improvement I’d suggest would be tightening up the interface a little more, especially around account organization and transaction visibility. It would be really helpful to have the ability to sort accounts in numerical order and to have a dedicated page showing all bank transactions in one place. That would make cross-checking against bank statements much faster and easier. Aside from those improvements, the platform has been working really well overall and has been a solid tool for our workflow.

**What problems is Stacks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stacks is helping us streamline and organize our month-end reconciliation process much more efficiently. It’s much quicker to import transactions for bank accounts where we don’t have a bank feed in place, which saves a significant amount of manual work. The platform also provides a very clean and easy-to-understand view of bank reconciliation statuses on a monthly basis, making it easier to track progress and identify outstanding items. Another big benefit is the checklist feature, which helps keep the entire team aligned and on the same page throughout the process.

I really like the ease of using Stacks because it's very user-friendly. The support is great, which is a big plus. I also find the analyzing part very helpful, especially the way it pulls certain journals that might be throwing the numbers off.

I think the syncing, we have had some issues with things not syncing correctly from NetSuite. Just an automatic sync.

I use Stacks for accounting analysis and balance sheet reconciliations. It helps me keep track of reconciled accounts and identify differences. It's user-friendly and supports analyzing discrepancies effectively. However, I've faced syncing issues with NetSuite.

I like the experience of using Stacks because it is slick and modern. It's user-friendly, and I can figure out how to use it without needing someone to train me. The initial setup was overall positive, and the support team was very supportive, which helped us engage well with the tool.

I would like to have access to it on iPhone so I can review my team's work anytime and anywhere.

**What do you like best about Stacks?**

I really appreciate Stacks for its intuitive and fast interface, which makes it significantly easier to manage tasks and meet deadlines during our monthly close. The tool's speed allows me to focus more on other important work rather than getting bogged down in slow processing times. I find the overview feature particularly valuable as it provides a clear snapshot of our current progress, highlighting any overdue tasks and their specific areas, thus enhancing the efficiency and organization of our processes. Moreover, the integration with our ERP (Netsuite) and Slack for notifications makes the workflow seamless and well-coordinated. The initial setup of Stacks was also very easy, adding to its appeal. I switched from using Adra to Stacks because it offered all the necessary functionalities I was accustomed to, along with additional features like integration with Slack and AI capabilities. Overall, my experience with Stacks has been excellent, which is why I am very likely to recommend it to others.

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

I feel like everything works really well, so it would only be smaller improvements that would make the tool even better. This could be things such as more control over assigning preparers or reviewers to a task, i.e., changing in bulk or rolling forward previous month's supporting documentation.

I use Stacks for monthly reconciliation and task management. It ensures all tasks are completed during monthly closing and balances are reconciled. Its speed and intuitive interface help meet tight deadlines, while the overview feature tracks progress and highlights overdue tasks.

Appreciate some features are still in beta mode but some parts seem 'clunky' and need refinement, simple things like A-Z sorting, filtering of accounts etc

The integration with Netsuite is very helpful especially the stacks journal posting and the flux AI analysis. We have a good support team from stacks who help when there is an issue. UX/UI is very friendly

ERP refresh must be done manually and only by the person who sets up the bank account

Stacks is solving problems with Paypal reconciliations. This will make the reconciliation be less manual

**What do you like best about Stacks?**

It is a very intuitive system, with excellent customer service. The ease of feedback with the stacks team to add or adjust features has been really helpful in making the tool effective for us.

**What do you dislike about Stacks?**

It would be really helpful to roll forward reconciliations on the balance sheet so we can have the full year rec built up through the months.
