There is a wide array of utilities that proved to be very useful for us from db development and analytics perspective. mentioned the few key ones :-

1. Its Execution plan analyser proved to be the best in class for efficiently reduction query troubleshooting time.

There is not something major to consider as a con but there were some difficulties in some features after upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ssms is now independent, we can install it separately on our machine to connect the SQL services like ssrs ssms ssas ssis. We can do the multiple thinghs graphically and through query it's a default tool for SQL server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Basically, We are using SSMS tools pack to increase the productivity of SQL server administrators team. There are some below benefits which I like most in SSMS tool pack :

1. It includes code generation and formatting tools which increased the code productivity.

2. it helps in more effort development and troubleshooting.

3. It's version control integration

4. It maintain the history of used queries

There are few below problems which i faced while working on SSMS tools pack :

1. When we shift to a newer version of SSMS then we faced compatibility issue.

2. It primarily targets only Windows and SSMS so there is limited cross platform support.

3. It can consume additional system resources which will affect the efficiency of SSMS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best about SSMS is its OOB features that saves lots of developer time to work Database activities. It has lots of shortcuts to complete a work easier.The Database diagrams helps user to understand the flow of code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In SSMS as per my experiance I faced is the upgrade to higher version, every time we do some features may or maynot work, So have to keep multiple versions in system makes uncomfortable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like CRUD Procedure Generation because this tool generates stored procedures for CRUD on the table,

SQL Snippets is one of the best, and Window Connection Coloring is my favourite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is nothing to dislike about the SSMS tools pack . In my opinion, some of the problems of the SSMS Tools Package is limited operating system support as it only supports Microsoft Windows Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
