I Wouldn't Recommend. We're a web-based company. We provide 100% legal services like SEO, Web design, Web development, Graphic design, Video editing, content writing, virtual assistant, etc. We open an account to receive payments. We have completed 110+ transactions by Squareup. We haven't got any dispute.

But suddenly they deactivate the account. We have tried contacting their customer agent via live chat but they disabled this feature. They disabled "ask the community" also.

We emailed them that we believe we didn't violate any terms.

SquareUp is an all-in-one payment processing solution for small businesses. It provides one of the most simple and straightforward online user experiences compared to other payment processing solutions. They offer countless additional features, including invoicing, employee and inventory management. Other than that it also provides various payment methods, such as credit/debit cards, gift cards, apple pay and google pay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was frustrating to find the dongle to attach to my phone. It would easily get lost. Also, I prefer the system I currently have, which embeds credit card processing into my practice management software. Clients enter the card info themselves, which saves me time. I love that Square sends us a free card reader for new customers. Super cheap card processing payment fees. Collect payments via card swipe with no internet and process payment when you have internet access. Love the reports how it is set up and I can easily connect it to my woocommerce store. We went through the onboarding process and we used the services. We were able to use the card processing services but Square had been holding our funds. They said Square needed more financial documents to authorize the transaction. We provided the documents but no response for a week..

Later, we got a note they could not support our business needs and they will deposit the funds into our account within 2 business days, probably because we are a tour operator and the pandemic places us in a high-risk business. Why they did tell us that before?? Customer service rating is 0. The account rep was clueless.

Then they sent us another note a week later saying our funds will be held for 90 days with no explanation. This is not a 5* star company and we moved on to Stripe. Square has terrible customer service and poor crisis management. I wish we had never contacted this bad company. If you choose them be AWARE at your own risk they might hold your funds with no plausible reason .

What I like most about Square up is the ability to create static (store "like") and dynamic services (appointments). The static service items can be synced with a direct purchase. Or you can embed a list of services appointments or individual services which seems to be less confusing for our customers.

Our visitors seem to have no issues making payments.

I wish there were an easier way to link service appointments without embedding them (like in this example https://checkout.square.site/buy/66PVOZFPCPYXWSJDDT6J7OQR). Embedding a service into a website can conflict with some web designs.
