Honestly, I didn't get good competitor data for the organic part while using this tool. Sometimes our competitors are not related to our business niche. That make me confused, and I have to reverify from other tools. Not many noticeable downsides to SpyFu. I would say that this tool should be one of many in your toolbelt to accurately paint the picture for you. I have heard some people upset with some limitations on the platform but they were trying to use it to do too much (beyond what it was intended to do). I have never had a complaint with the software. What problems is SpyFu solving and how is that benefiting you? Keyword Research is my favorite besides lots of other helpful features. I love the filter functions which allow me to include and exclude lists of queries to narrow my focus on niches and long-term queries. And I like the ability to easily add my results to different projects I am working on. You can upload any keywords, and we will apply any data for them that we might have. From there, you can add them to projects. ALSO, you can add those excluded keywords (and any keywords) directly to your projects with the "import" feature inside the keyword group. What I like most about SpyFu is that it covers both organic SEO and PPC ads and we utilize both. Once you get used to all the data that SpyFu presents and get used to the interface I like that they give you the data on one pane of glass. For example if you are looking up a keyword, on one screen you can get everything related to that keyword. This does make it easy since you don't have to go digging 5 levels deep or pull up reports. I subscribed to SpyFu last year and ended up canceling, mostly from lack of time. However I also didn't put in the work to watch their videos and tutorials so I really couldn't understand all the data. I signed back up for SpyFu again and this time around watched all the videos and tutorials so everything was less intimidating and now I'm seeing a lot of value in it. If you don't and just try to dive right in you will probably be overwhelmed and discouraged. Invest a few hours and learn the interface with the training they provide to get maximum value.
