What do you like best about spring.io?

Light weight, feature rich, easily customizable, get rids of the boiler plate code, integration with 100's of 3rd party libraries.

Support and frequent updates to the various versions. Open source. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about spring.io?

Sometimes transitive dependencies can mess up your project big time. Specially when you selectively want to use a different library.

For e.g. Recently I had to add a spring-data-commons library, but due to numerous issues with other versions I had to finally include spring-data-jpa itself as the whole dependency rather than just a single artefact of spring-data-commons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering spring.io:

Well, I can't even think of any other framework that's so vast yet easily customisable and so light weight. If you are a Java developer I am pretty sure that you are already using Spring in some form or the other. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is spring.io solving and how is that benefiting you?

Code reusability, code testability, scalability and maintenance. The ability to integrate with 100's of other frameworks means that whenever we need to add a new feature we first look at the spring implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
