**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

It's fast, easy and reliable.  It's also inexpensive compared to other similar products.  The SoS feature is so handy for the occasional system outside of our normal group of computers.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I haven't found anything that I don't like about it, especially more than other products that I've used like Logmein or Teamviewer.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a quick, reliable and inexpensive way to access certain systems from outside of our network quickly and securely.  Splashtop allows me to do that and is so much more affordable than other competitor products.  I also occasionally need to access someone else's system to provide support and Splashtop SOS gives me that feature quickly and easily.  I love it!

Intuitive and easy to use.  I like that I can trust that it is secure when implemented properly.  Allows me to support hundreds of endpoints with ease.

Takes a little more effort to install and doesn't always work on networks that are really locked down and blocking ports.

Our users did not like the Remote Desktop environment and much prefer being able to access their work computer instead.  Keeps everything in one place.

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

It is simple to use and I can quickly and easily handle multiple help requests at a time.  Installing on my network was quick and painless.  I use it every day, throughout the day.  I also love the new features for endpoint management that allow me to keep up with patch management.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

There is nothing I dislike, but I am looking forward to more capabilities to set updates for our most commonly used programs.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I support 105 endpoints across 3 offices as well as being responsible for software patching and updates.  With Splashtop, I am able to remotely support our employees where previously I had to travel to offices.  I am also able to set the updates for Windows, Chrome, and Adobe to run on a schedule where previously I had to manually update each endpoint.  This has allowed me to focus on other tasks.  I also like the software inventory that helps me see what programs are on an endpoint and whether they are updated or in need of patching.

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I have used this program for a number of  years. In fact, every time I service a computer I install it on the client's desktop. It saves me time and mileage and allows me to help my clients in a timely manner instead of arranging for an on-site visit at some time in the future.
The interface is easy to use and has rarely failed me.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

There are some featured of more expensive programs that I have used in the past, but I just don't worry about them since using Splashtop.
On rare occasions I can see the client's computer but the program will just not connect to it. Tech support has helped me a bit, but in some cases I find that the only solution is to use another program or to go onsite.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly I am called for diagnosing a Windows problem or use of other software. Occasionally I need to download anti-malware software and scan systems. I also have used it to install anti-malware software as well as running system updates.
Occasionally I use it to show clients how to use their software.

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I am a small consultant that supports a variety of Non-Profit organizations and I need something simple for the end-user to help me help them.  I have used other desktop support software apps and most of them are hard to implement or hard to use for the end-user.  Also,  I have found that Splashtop is very cost competitive to other Desktop support software that charge a heafty price for a similer configuration.  The best thing I like about this tool is that I can basically support anyone on almost any device remotely, this is to include mobile devices.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

There are not many downsides but if I had to complain about one thing is that there should be an application that one could install on their computer similar to teamviewer where instead of having to go to a website to download the app, it could already be installed and they just click the app from their favorites.

This allows me to remotely support my clients without having to be physically there.

The combination of ease of use, high performance (speed and low latency), and robust security features (like MFA and encryption) which are crucial for providing efficient and secure remote IT support to your clients in the cybersecurity field. The ability to deploy it easily and manage multiple client endpoints.
We use Splashtop daily, and if we need support, please respond within 4 hours!
It is very easy to implement, and the integration with MS Teams is priceless.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Customization options: While generally good, some users might desire more extensive branding or deeper UI customization options for the client-side applications.
Advanced features compared to higher-priced competitors: While Splashtop offers excellent value for money, some very niche or advanced features are found in significantly more expensive enterprise-grade remote support solutions.
Update process: A minor point sometimes mentioned is the update process for the client app, where it can sometimes interrupt a session or prompt for updates at inconvenient times.

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I've been using Splashtop Remote Support for almost ten years now. They have consistently added improvements that show they understand the needs of SMBs and service providers. We support five Municipalities with a small team of three technicians and about 330 endpoints. In addition to Desktop support, Splashtop has allowed us to roll out remote control capabilities to operators at several water and wastewater plants in a secure manner including two-factor authentication, segregation of access by device groups, and centralized management of operator access and credentials. The implementation was trouble-free. We find the inventory capabilities and notifications of software installs particularly useful, allowing us to follow up as necessary with our end users.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Authenticating to Azure connected workstations is not very intuitive, but possible. It would be nice to have a role in the administrative console for an auditor function.

i like every thing about this tool because before i chose it, i tested many tools and compared them and found this is the best tool cover my need.

This tool saved me by providing a solution to control devices outside the office for remote employees. I had trouble configuring settings like joining the domain when a device was first turned on. After installing this tool, I was able to handle all the settings easily without any issues or assistance from the new user.

This was recommended to me by a colleague. I got the business edition and it is great for connecting to co-workers that are having issues with their computers. I just logged on and take a look around. We have 6 companies and a couple of them are 6 hour round trip away, so it is nice to be able to connect to their computer and help them with a problem.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Sometimes I have trouble connecting to the computer because it is asleep and won't wake up or the person on the other end has deleted the program. I would like to see if there was a way to lock them from removing the program or changing the login information.

We are having a lot of new employees rotate in our company, so needing to change out information on the computer to the new employee coming in and it nice to be able to connect to it and do what I need to do when they are so far away. It has been a great tool for me.

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Splashtop fulfils our requirements to maintain numerous cloud and on premises servers, mostly Windows and macOS,  as well as on demand support for our customers' end users, which includes with some IOS and Android devices. It is easy to setup and install and is far more cost effective than the previous systems we've used. Splashtop is used very day!

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I would be hard pushed to be able to think of one. Any friction we have is usually down to the operating system we're connecting to, rather than the Splashtop system.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our cloud servers process data for many of our customers and we support their end users. Splashtop allows us to maintain the servers and quickly assist any users who contact us.

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I have been using Splashtop Remote Support for several years now. I use it to quickly remote into a user's computer and resolve issues or provide direction on how to do something. The show remote cursor and laser pointer option is especially helpful when teaching a user how to use software. I have deployed installers for each of our locations that automatically puts the PC in the correct group in Splashtop making it easy to install with minimal effort. I have also had some users need access to their computers for some out of the office work. I am able to create users as needed and assign them to specific PCs. If a user no longer needs the access, I can easily disable or delete the account. I use this software daily and am thankful for how well it works as I provide support.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Some obscure programs may conflict with Splashtop causing it to stop working. This is fairly rare. but can be a pain at times. There are also times when I think that the screen of the remote PC is blacked out, but I find that it is not, which could potentially cause me to accidentially reveal sensitive data to whoever is near that PC. Those have not been major issues for me at this time however, so I have not looked too hard for a solution. (The blacked out screen likely needs different graphics drivers, I would imagine.)

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Something that I tend to forget since it simply happens automatically now are the alert settings. I can set alerts to let me know things about the endpoints that users tend to not report. I have alerts set up for high RAM usage, low drive space, and if software is being installed or uninstalled. It helps me keep an eye on what is happening with the endpoints and helps me to be able to stave off issues before they become a problem.

I've been using Spashtop since 2018 to provide remote support for clients, colleagues, and friends. Being able to see the screen of the remote user is a quantum leap beyond telephone support, and my ability to directly control a remote Mac or Windows computer is fabulous!

Setup on Splashtop on the remote device is straightforward for even low-tech users.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Remote setup of Splashtop SOS on a Mac is a bit tricky due to macOS security precautions.

Spashtop makes remote support of clients, colleagues, and friends a dream.  My ability to manage unattended remote computers saves a lot of my time.

I am an Apple consultant and have to remotely connect with many clients. Often I have an issue using Apple's built-in screen sharing feature to connect, but Splashtop works really well. I use it weekly. What I also like is it's ability to connect to more than one screen at a time.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Many novice clients have a hard time with the initial Splashtop SOS setup. They get confused with allowing the permissions that Apple requires. It would be great if Spashtop could make this initial setup easier. I'm not sure Apple will allow that.

Splashtop provides a real desktop experience as though you are sitting right in front of the computer. There is very little lag to speak of, you have the ability to transfer files from your computer to the remote or vice versa, and you even can print using the Splashtop Remote Printer.

I cannot think of a single thing I dislike about using Splashtop. It is fantastic.

the remote support and Sos software make my life so much more streamlined and easier.   does everything i need and so much more.  so easy to install, and you can setup implementation files and custom installs are available allowing you to integrate into any system perfectly.   My splashtop app is used all day, everyday.

did have some crashing issues but support got me all fixed up in just a few minutes.

I appreciate how easy it is to use and deploy. The only time I needed to contact customer support they were helpful. As something I use daily to support remote sites it has everything I need and actually does more than I might require.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

The file transfer can feel a little clunky and the device status doesnt update as fast as i might like, showing as offline when its on or the other way around.

It works! It is reasonably priced. SplashtopSOS is awesome and quick to use where the Streamer hasn't been installed yet, or to use to install it.

Reconnecting doesn't always work = I'm not always notified when a client's machine comes back to me. There is other remote access software that, according to my IT mates, has this cracked.

Splashtop is easy to install and configure. Connecting to computers both Windows and Mac is easy. They have been adding some additional monitoring and management features including updating some software and the OS.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Group membership is not dynamic and has to be manually set. Computers can only be one group at a time which can be difficult when using 1-to-many actions or schedules.

It is easy to set up and install. Great layout with groups to separate client computers and several security options. It is easy to integrate on client's domain.

This is mostly a suggestion but it would be helpful if it had the option to get a current snapshot/screen shot of each computer. That's the only thing I can think of that is "missing".

It speeds up the time it takes to help my clients and pretty much eliminates the need to go onsite. It is an essential tool for me as an MSP, it saves time and money.

I really like the simplicity of the product. It is very user friendly for my technicians but also has advanced features that are not found in other similar products. We rarely have issues utilitzing Splashtop for all of our support needs.

I wish there was a better option for installing and using Splashtop on Chrome devices. We have struggled in this area and do not deploy Splashtop on our Chrome devices for this reason.

What I like best about Splashtop SOS is its fast, reliable remote access, which allows me to troubleshoot and provide support in real-time with minimal lag. The interface is easy to use, even for non-technical users, and the connection quality is consistently high, making remote support seamless and efficient.

The only downside to Splashtop SOS is that some advanced features, like file transfer and multi-monitor support, are available only in higher-tier plans. It would be great to have more of these features included in the basic package to provide even more value for users needing comprehensive support.

Splashtop SOS solves the challenge of providing remote technical support quickly and efficiently. I have found Splashtop SOS to be much less complex for the end user. This is critical, because at the time a user needs on-demand support, it's typical that they are in some degree of distress and don't want to be bothered with a complex download and installation process. It also works great for mobile devices; I feel that Splashtop has it all over its competition in this regard.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

There's only one negative I can think of and it's not really anything the Splashtop folks can fix. When Splashtop SOS is installed on a Mac, Apple's security configuration is such that the end user has to go through a few gyrations to permit screen access and remote control. To a non-technical user, this can be confusing.

I need a reliable remote support solution. I've used many different platforms over the years (Bomgar, TeamViewer, AnyDesk, etc.) and Splashtop SOS is probably the best complromise of ease of use for the user and yet still maintin the complexity I need as the person providing remote support.

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

So far Splashtop has worked for me flawlessly. Connections with clients are quick, stable, and offer all the features I require. I do not have a clientele that requires 24/7 monitoring so to be able to come in on request is a bonus and save travel time in terms of an inperson visit. The features required by my service, reboots, file transfers, access to task manager makes my job effortless.For most of my clients, the process of setting up Splashtop for use is easily with in their capabilities. I have not had need to contact Customer Support which may be a result of a balance and well built platform. i've used splashtop several times a week which provides an increase in time to address even more clients in a given time frame.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

The only issue I've run into is that my clientel, who tend to be elderly, sometimes have a problem with trying to install Splashtop for the first time. This isn't a Splashtop issue specifically, because we expect users to have a basic understanding of how things work. I just happen to cater to a group of users with minimal or non existent computer skills.

Generally, my remote support is related to user errors or lack of knowledge. Remotely connecting and changing passwords, eliminating malware, installing printers, software, and helping with software set ups is generally my forte.

What I love:
- Incredibly easy deployment.
- If the connection on both ends is any better than 5mbps x 5mbps, the entire session runs smoothly with ZERO disconnects.
- Can rename PCs without altering system settings.
- Stealth operation is easy.
- Support team is quick to respond and very helpful.

- The constant authorization emails when adding the business app to a new PC or signing into the business app for the first time on a PC.

I am the IT guy for a hardware company with two locations.  Splashtop makes me so efficient when dealing with hardware/software/connection issues at remote locations.  I cannot imagine not having it as a resource at this point.

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

With Splashtop for Business and Splashtop SOS, I have the versality i need to provide support to my clients. I use Splashtop for Business on servers and critical workstations and SOS for quick remote support and find they both provide a stable remote experience, even on slow client internet connections. HIPPA conpliance is a added plus, if you deal with medical clients and the encryption is built in, not requiring any add ons. I cannot comment on Splashtop Support, as I have never needed support, in all of my years using it. Splashtop is continuously adding new features, but the product continues to remain easy to use. In my opinion, Splashtop is the most cost effective, feature rich, easy to use, solution for remote support on the market today.

The Splashtop features can be somewhat confusing for the first time buyer.

Splashtop allows me to remotely fix problems, monitor systems, perform routine tasks, and handle emergencies, which reduces my travel time, and creates good customer relations.

The last year of updates seem to have made the software buggier and more prone to crashing with multi-monitor setups on either end.

Easy for non-technical people to locate and install, and easy for technicians to integrate into their workflow. I use the product several times a week and its been very reliable. The base features of remote connection are excellent, and the additional benefits like file transfer come in handy. Their support has been responsive, and they communicate any planned upgrades/downtimes well in advance.

Their prices have increased over the past few years.

Splashtop is very easy to use. It works very well even over a relatively slow DSL connection. The deployment system is also easy for novice users to download and install. I also like the improvements to Splashtop SOS for mobile devices. They made the "Start Broadcast" button clearer. I rarely have trouble explaining which button they need to press. I also like that they integrated BitDefender.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

It sometimes requires e-mail verification of a web login even though I have already logged in previously. It doesn't allow multiple accounts to be logged in simultaneously. If you switch from one account to another, it logs you out. RemotePC allows multiple sessions using different accounts on the same computer, but Splashtop is much easier to use, so it is still worth it. It would be nice to be able to move all saved accounts and passwords to a new computer.

**Recommendations to others considering Splashtop Remote Support:**

If you are not convinced, they will give you a trial version. I switched to a paid version after 2 days. I was very impressed.

I can log into Windows very quickly. Macs and iOS devices work too, but they are a little more difficult for novice users. Given that security permissions is a macOS issue, I am not sure Splashtop can do anything about it. Being able to help customers who have multiple devices at the same time from one application has been great.

To be honest there is nothing I dislike about Splashtop SOS. It is a well featured products and ticks every single box that I have needed it to.

We can connect to any device or computer from anywhere at anytime, including unattended access - no more needing users to share complex codes and long strings of numbers. This includes mobile devices and those not currently connected to our corporate network. Cross platform support is also a must have and Splahstop SOS supports a wide range of devices.
