Since it is completely ONLINE, so we don't need to install it on any Server to provide access to the users. It can be accessible from anywhere. It maintains inventory in an efficient way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Online software is not a full-fledged Inventory and Assets Management software, like as the On-Premise similar other software do. It should also have Inventory Audits options to offer many valuable enhancements, as needed by the Businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Spiceworks inventory tracker is a good, stable product that will scan the LAN and report back the computers it detects, their hostname, and IP address. It can also detect the Windows version and the applications installed version.
The installed client is small and does not take many resources of the computer; the client can be deployed by a GPO or manually installed. The web interface of the system is relatively easy to navigate. The internal device database can be cleared, and the system can rescan the whole network rescanned.
Brilliant system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The navigation could be more straightforward, but you get used to it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Fairly easy to setup, does a decent job at crawling the network once you have your setup entered in.
Pulls vital info from most PC and printer objects such as model, serial, toner levels, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very resource intensive while scanning, which is essentially a non-stop scan in my environment slowing down other applications running on the same server.
Even when you try to turn the scanner off, it starts scanning again, have to go into the settings and force it to stop multiple times per day.
Devices often show back up after deleting them, kind of a pain if you are trying to clean up your inventory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's now cloud based and you can access the information anywhere, deploy anywhere and still access from the same place as the Cloud Help Desk and integrate it with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was a little more difficult to set up than the Cloud Help Desk, but once you realize how to connect to the WAN and other subnets etc, just roll with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's free, easy to use, and it can be used to keep track of different platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be a little slow and unresponsive sometimes, but getting beefier hardware would help that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very easy to setup and to run, very flexible. Simply download on a server/computer that's always on and on the network and discoverable and you are all set!
Visually easy to use and gets set up quickly.
Not to mention the price is right! It's hard to beat free when it comes to a valuable technology tool to improve functionality and up time in your business. It's rare to find a free tool that actually helps you AND has decent support behind it when it's really needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The network mapping can be a little picky with security and permissions to pull all necessary data, takes a little massaging to ensure accurate data. If you're not used to analyzing technical data it can have a bit of a learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are able to create network diagrams by using this application. We are also using various available filters. It's also possible for us to check the usage of bandwidth between any two nodes of our created network diagram. We are also using this tool for monitoring / scanning of network devices. I currently wouldn't have any dislikes as I am a new user for Spiceworks, but maybe the portal can be improved of who the tickets are assigned to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
