They cut our service because they didn't answer to more than 25 emails and 15 tickets we opened to inform that we need the payment information which they changed when moved from Sparkpost to MessageBird. They responded 6 months latter with wrong information delaying more and more the payment, but then they cut the service. But I don't think that's something specific to Sparkpost. **What problems is SparkPost solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Sparkpost to authenticate customers' email domains for use in our email feature - it allows our customers to 'dupe' their email + make it look like they're sending an individualized email directly from their personal inbox, where in reality, they are actually using our email sender (Sparkpost). ### 8. Did a blast with the remaining, but over 400 were non-deliverable, and 65 made SPAM complaints. **What problems is SparkPost solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solve no problems and actually created more as my email service suspended us because of high SPAM complaints. Never used SparkPost again. Ran the same list through Zero Bounce and cleaned it much more thoroughly to the point we get less than .03% bounces and .015% SPAM complaints. ### 10. I am not a techy by any stretch of the imagination but am by default the "go to" in our office for management of emails. SP integrates into our CRM flawlessly, and we have only on a few occasions had to log into the master account to troubleshoot issues. **What do you dislike about SparkPost?** My only complaint is we don't have spell check within our email. So maybe a few dozen emails per month. Today when I logged into my account I found it was suspended. I emailed their support team and they emailed back with a suspicious link and asked me to explain why I sent an email with that link in it. This was the only information they gave me. My best guess was that it was from a spam comment on my Wordpress site, which would have been a notification to me personally. I said this and asked for more details to help look into the issue further, but they rejected that response and said they couldn't help any further and would stand by their suspension. So now I'm locked out of my account and need to figure out a way to find out, which domains I need to move away from their service. **Recommendations to others considering SparkPost:** Absolutely not. The support and compliance team will not work with customers to help them resolve an issue. They would rather just block you completely. **What problems is SparkPost solving and how is that benefiting you?** SparkPost did improve the deliverability of my emails until they decided to suspend my account without notice and then completely lock me out all together. I run a few small Wordpress sites that send a very limited amount of email. If I was a spammer I would take the hit and move on, but this is just frustrating. ### 23. Sure enough, they were still coming into the website. Apparently Sparkpost had suspended our account without any notification or transparency. When I contacted customer service, they gave me a jargon-filled answer and refused provide any clarification. **Recommendations to others considering SparkPost:** Don't use it with wordpress. **What problems is SparkPost solving and how is that benefiting you?** None any more. We used this to relay form submissions from our website to our emails. As somebody else mentioned above, they likely picked up on the spam that inevitably came through our forms. When we had a security issue when a key got stolen they would not assist us in getting the problem resolved by swapping out the key and instead terminated our account without warming leaving all our websites unable to send mail. Received many form letter responses after much waiting then none reply at all. Gave up on Sparkpost and moved to Mailgun. MUCH better support, fast responses. The User interface as well as all the features are easily explained and have very easy instructions to follow. furthermore, sparkpost is built on AWS which means that sparkpost is extremely reliable. I have yet to meet any downtime or problems when using sparkpost. The reliability and scalability is great and extremely useful. We have products that only send a few emails out a day, while we have products that send almost over 100 emails a day. **What do you dislike about SparkPost?** Sparkpost has a free feature, but once you pass the number of free emails, the cost can be quite expensive. In general Sparkpost is a somewhat expensive tool. Another dislike is that sparkpost is usually used by people who are somewhat tech savvy. We had to have another member of our team who was proficient in coding to develop other tools to combine with sparkpost to use sparkpost to its full potential. **Recommendations to others considering SparkPost:** Sparkpost is extremely easy to use and should be used if you have many emails to send out to customers **What problems is SparkPost solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use sparkpost every day to send emails out to customers and users. We need to be able to contact all of our customers and the best way is to send emails through sparkpost. Another big issue that sparkpost solved is the problem of having to contact multiple users at one time. It is much easier for us to automate this task using sparkpost than having to manually do it. ### 28. I work in a .NET environment and although I can get to the answer eventually it would be helpful to have more detailed documentation for things like webhooks, API, etc **Recommendations to others considering SparkPost:** Checkout the community of information available. There are a lot of questions already answered. **What problems is SparkPost solving and how is that benefiting you?** We off loaded the transactional emails of around 30,000 - 50,000 per month to Spark Post thereby saving a lot of internal headaches if something goes wrong. You cannot actually view, or access, the content of the email in anyway and the search tools cannot search my email subject so parsing reports is difficult for automated messages which have consistent subject lines but issues with deliverability scores. **What problems is SparkPost solving and how is that benefiting you?** All external email services from all of our platforms. Support respond quickly. **What do you dislike about SparkPost?** First they suspended me for sending spam email before I'd even sent a single email. They did apologize and reactivate my account. After running a few tests, we noticed emails to hotmail weren't arriving. Not bouncing, not delayed, marked as delivered but never appearing. When we sent to them regarding this - and that our test from 4 other providers to the same address with the same email content were arriving, they kept on saying "from our side all is ok, check your junk email". The emails were not in junk email, or nowhere at all. They simply have no idea where their emails go. If you are paying for their service, you definitely feel like you are being taken care of. Prompt updates and deliverability reports e-mailed regularly. **What do you dislike about SparkPost?** It is difficult to get any desired changes on their roadmap. Unless a lot of their customers, or their biggest customers want the change as well, you will likely not get your change request completed. Some of the changes are pretty necessary for our solution. They can even be obvious features that should be available, they will agree, but still not move quickly on it. **What problems is SparkPost solving and how is that benefiting you?** My team wanted someone else to handle our deliverability and template management. They monitor our deliverability and alert us of any issues. We handle our own user segmentation, but even if we mess up, their system won't let us spam users unnecessarily.
