**What do you like best about SparkPlug?**

SparkPlug has made incentivizing the staff a breeze!

It saves management so much time by assisting with setting up, keeping track and paying out staff. 

You can now do staff trainings on the platform  so that staff can do on their own time and get paid for each training.

The platform overall is easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about SparkPlug?**

One flaw from a manger perspective. At the moment we have 11 sparks currently running. It should be limited to a certain amount of incentives at a time. The staff can then. focus on a number of brands at a time instead of being overwhelmed since some sparks require a certain threshold to qualify for the prize. Also I've had some companies not want to participate with SparkPlug since they don't want their incentive to get overlooked or set aside for a better prize.

i like that you can choose what kind of payout you want, how easy it is to track your data.
also all the competition it brings!
Customer support is very helpful whenever there is an issue.

Sometimes sales data doesnt sync up correctly, but its rare.

I like being able to track sales. I like that staff can see their sales easily and compete with each other.

Pricing could be better. When you have multiple locations and need to pay more and more with each location, that sucks and has prevented me from adding newer locations. 

Can also be buggy when pulling data

Very easy to use and free for dispensaries to use. Makes good money for budtenders.

There is no training for budtenders and there is no consumer-facing UI.

I love how responsive they are whenever I reach out they are always quick at helping with whatever we need. Our team has really enjoyed the services they provide to incentivze them throughout their shifts. Super easy for our team to use and has a lot of great features such as reminder texts sent to employees to keep them engaged in the current Spark for their store.

Wish we had more vendors using SparkPlug!

They are helping us stay on top of our team's efforts in maximizing their average ticket potential by helping to incentivize the team with vendors who use SparkPlug. Our team is very responsive to anything that helps them make more in their day financially and SparkPlug is great at providing this by working with vendors we carry.

SparkPlug allows us to better connect with our vendor partners who offer incentive programs to our employees. It enables vendors to directly reward our employees for moving product, while also helping vendors increase their sales. It's truly a win-win!

These is no downside for a cannabis retailer to not use SparkPlug.

Being able to track inventory movement, sales velocity, and top performing sales staff has helped tremendously.

It's ease of usability. How it drives our KPIs. The support we get from Erin and all of our Help Desk reps like Lyza, Cieryl, Kelsey, Angeli, & more!

How long it takes to load. Really bogs down for the Guest Advisors. That you can't export. Wish you could go store by store and look at results on the dashboard for Sparks.

Helping drive basket size and moving inventory in our stores. Helping us get brands in front of the Guest Advisors to drive products that need to be sold.

As an MSO, I'm a fan of the backend analytics that I'm able to receive.

The sign-up process takes a bit of time & is the main turn off for acquiring new accounts.

**What do you like best about SparkPlug?**

I really enjoy the fact that the budtenders are able to get an incentive for selling products they already sell to customers, its like a personal "thank you" from the company. I also really enjoy that you can link the brand to the products in the POS so anytime we get something new during a spark you can easily add it to the current spark. They customer service reps with sparkplug are so friendly and easy going they never make you feel like any question is a bad one and they are more then happy to help you fully understand the platform whether you are a visual learner like me or need step by step instructions (also like me) they are more then happy to provide you with video calls, videos, and any reading material to help you fully understand the platform and feel comfortable using it. I recently has my first " spark denial" which was sad cause I didnt have the product they wanted to put on the spark but I was able to write them a response on why I am denying it which is really nice. Another cool thing about spark plug is the fact that we can now save our spark money into a virtual wallet and save it up instead of having to cash them out on gift cards after every spark.

**What do you dislike about SparkPlug?**

I havent came across any "dislikes" about sparkplug yet, I think it is very user friendly and I have no compaints.

**What problems is SparkPlug solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At our store we have a card machine for customers to use thier debt cards for purchases, our card machines do not allow us to add tips to the transaction so Sparkplug is basically giving the budtender a "tip" when they sell certain products.

The incentives help our budtenders make our customers aware of new product. It's great for getting new products noticed. Employees also love seeing the progress they make with their sales. It's user friendly, and the customer service side has always been top tier. Collecting the intensives is easy as well.

I wish more vendors would get involved. Would be great to have more incentives.

The main upside is a demonstrable lift in sales for the brands utilizing it effectively. Having a variety of Sparkplugs operating with varied cadences, incentives, etc. definitely keeps the team responsive.

Chasing down vendor rewards that are owed to the team when we're doing unconventional Spark awards. It's great to see unconventional sparks but it's often tough, especially when reps at the company may have changed since the Sparkplug was launched.

**What problems is SparkPlug solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sparkplug simplifies the process of structuring sales incentives for the staff. Prior to utilizing it I had to manually track sales, rewards, etc. for any in-store contests. This has been a great assist.

**What do you like best about SparkPlug?**

Spark plug really allows me to incentivize my staff to a common goal. Especially with how many third-party vendors are trying to incentivize or drive sales for their own personal companies, this helps both of us not step on each other's toes.

**What do you dislike about SparkPlug?**

I barely saw my first one a month ago so it seems to be starting, but I always find it ridiculous that the general managers don't get cuts for killing it for some of these incentives. I have instances where I've sold out of an entire 2 month supply for one of these spark plugs, and the bartenders were bringing in 500 plus dollars etc and nothing for me.

**What problems is SparkPlug solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like I mentioned earlier it allows a lot of the companies that are in our store to compete with each other, and also promote their own brand! I have my own internal sales that I need to meet so it creates a nice blend

**What do you like best about SparkPlug?**

It really helps keep all your in house and 3rd party incentive programs in one place. The UI is great and very simple to use, and I love that staff members receive text messages twice per week to keep them engaged. Our team members get extremely competitve so they love being able to access the Spark results anytime they want. They also love the new Venmo transfer option! Also the customer service I've received as a retailer has been top notch.

Once in a while there is a small hiccup in brand linking or there's a data inconsistency issue with Sparks, however every single time I've expereinced an issue, someone from Sparkplug has been able to fix the issue in an extremely timely manner.

**What problems is SparkPlug solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Sparkplug we had to pull and analyze spreadsheet from our POS system in order to run any kind of sales incentives. This was very inconvenient and time consuming. It also made it not easy to check in with staff about where they stood in the competition. Sparkplug has made the process so easy for us as a retailer to keep people motivated engaged.

I love how easy it is to navigate. Accepting sparks is extremely easy and getting those earned rewards to budtenders is even easier! Because of this process, budtenders are able to navigate and claim those rewards all on their own!

**What do you dislike about SparkPlug?**

I wish updating inventory via Treez intergration was a bit easier. A few times I have had to email and request new items received, were uploaded to current sparks ongoing. Not the biggest issue in the world but the budtenders are usually the first to notice this and they always ask if something looks off.

**What problems is SparkPlug solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I feel as if SparkPlug overall is creating a friendly, fun, environment that makes it exciting for budtenders to want to push their knowledge. I am seeing budtenders challenge themselves in new ways I've never seen before. This is not only benefiting themselves and their role in this company, but it's creating a better overall experience for all our locations in Missouri with these team efforts!

My favorite is how they can each earn their own  when they are comission based and everyone can get a little of the prize. Everyone wins with those. The placement prizes are great too.

I really do not like having to continously reach out to vendors for prizes THEY set up amd send us. It kind of doesn't make sense for this platform to have that and them us still have to facilitate that part.

I like how the sparks are able to be set up from vendors but aging hate having to follow up on something they set up. Our budtenders love being able to have an option for extra income and it makes them want to budtend more often than not.

SparkPlug is a great incentive tool to increase sales, drive revenue, increase inventory velocity and turnover rates while engaging the staff in a fun and productive manner!

*A recent change was made where a vendor now has to send multiple Sparks for each sub-brand versus having the inventory and Sparks tied to just one vendor. This has made the back-end of SparkPlug a little bit busier than before.

SparkPlug helps hone in on products that have slower velocity by creating an environment where sales associates want to push those products!

I enjoy the various features across the platform, including the sales dashboard, at our location, we are very competitive in terms of sales, so being able to see others sales throughout the day is helpful to make sure we are on track with being the top store.

I dislike the loading time to get access to some of the information that is on the platform. Does seem to have a few issues concerning connecting to serves but there isn't anything majorly wrong with the program I feel

It's helping with keeping track of sales better than we can do it in-store real-time, it uploads about every 15-20 minutes I believe, giving us a real-time view of our sales and other location sales

**What do you like best about SparkPlug?**

That our staff finds it easy and actually useful. We've done scan-back promotions where the store gets a credit back on products sold. But having to spend time & money marketing, reminding and micro-managing staff, creating leaderboards and communicating and waiting for credit reports and credits to be issued is just all too much. Sparkplug puts the incentive in the budtender's hands. They get text reminders daily (adjustable), and they see the leaderboard and how they need to improve. The budtenders get paid directly, and there is a 0% hit on profit margins because we don't have to run a split discount.

**What do you dislike about SparkPlug?**

One thing that is crucial for success with SparkPlug is that the VENDOR is on top of re-stocking and helping us stay stocked with this incentive going on. We've sold out of product but missed opportunities to sell more because of lack of stock. 

Also, educating your staff is a must at the start-up of all of this. Making sure everyone is enrolled and received the initial message. I went around and checked in with everyone individually at the start so they knew how to use it.

**What problems is SparkPlug solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving sales dollars and transparency with sales leaderboards. Before, it was hard for our staff to know where they land in sales competitions. There was no real way besides me running numbers for them to understand where they might land. With Sparkplug, they know exactly where they are with their goals. They are reminded about their goal via text. We've seen sales dollars improve by 46% in a month working with SparkPlug. Plus, our staff gets paid out directly to their bank account now! Super simple and effective.

The transition to allow funds from Sparks to be redeemed in other forms besides Amazon gift cards and Visa Debit Giftcards. Being able to transfer to another account such as Venmo, or directly ACH has been a big benefit to building participation in these programs.

**What do you dislike about SparkPlug?**

My biggest concern with the Sparks we receive is the categories of products that are hard to sell for our particular store's clientele make for low payouts, in conjunction with hard to attain targets.

Sparkplug allows us to focus more on sales in a particular way that's different than our store sales target. It puts the control in budtenders' hands when they want to improve their payouts.

I love being able to track my staff's performance on the offered vendor promotions. Sparkplug provides an easy way for my team to view active and upcoming vendor incentives for moving products.

I can't think of many downsides to using Sparkplug. It's pretty simple, but it gives me all the necessary information. I would say maybe more vendor incentives would be a way for improvement.

SparkPlug easily connects staff with vendors, and provides my staff with an incentive to move products. It takes the manual sales tracking and sending sales reports to vendors off my plate.

The team behind Sparkplug is most helpful. They respond quickly to any questions or issues and are very friendly. They also follow up after the fact to ensure the problem is not continuing.

The least helpful is not having a chat agent available at all times. Being on the East Coast, we are in different time zones, so sometimes there is a wait for a question or issue.

I like that Sparks are tracked and managed easily, without much admin needed. I also like that only admins can see total sales/budtender. I like that Sparkplug tracks sales as soon as unique credentials are used.

It would be helpful is Sparkplug sent an email enrollment option with the credentials used in the POS system. I have found that new employees still need a phone number put into Sparkplug before they can opt in.

Sparkplug is creating brand awareness and loyalty amongst our teams with the vendors who offer Sparks. It's also allowing our competitive/motivated budtenders to make more money by selling their favorite products.

The only issue I have encountered was some employees having an older cell phone and being unable to track it on the go. Otherwise, any issue or questions I have had have been answered quickly. :)

There is rarely a time when we are not pleased with SparkPlug. Competition through this platform is the healthy kind. We have had instances where the app was not calculating correctly, but the chat is a valuable tool, and these issues were cleared quickly.

The greatest benefit of SparkPlug is making sales fun.  My budtenders can work on their skills with focused sales strategies. They don't even realize it is training!

Easy payouts and quick responses from their online chat platform. The payouts are usually pretty fast after a promo has run its course. Being able to cash out to my bank account.

Sometimes the rewards are not calculated correctly. The time some rewards are paid out compared to others seems to vary a lot. Nothing is usually made right after mistakes are made.
