Unlike Spotify, with Soundcloud Helper, musicians can upload music whether or not they have been signed by a label. I'm an amateur musician, myself, and while I actually make a living with my day job and only do music as a hobby, I have plenty of friends who are very talented and who are working to become professionals. Soundcloud Helper makes this more likely to become a reality.
Please note that I can't take a screenshot of me using Soundcloud because I"m on my work computer and for some reason the screenshot function doesn't work. I teach Irish dance as a hobby and I have to sort through the category of "Irish Jig" to find Irish dance music. That's just weird. Jig refers to tunes in 6/8 time and we also have reels, hornpipes, slip jigs, single jigs, slides, waltzes, polkas, and traditional sets. It would be better to just have it listed under Irish dance.
