The simplicity of the deployment and the range of features within the platform that easily customisable to most business use cases that I could throw at it. **What do you dislike about Sophos MDR?** The application whitelisting and application control is there but is cumbersome and can be complicated and difficult to deploy, once it is deployed it also requires a fair bit of admin to maintain unless you want a lot of support requested when new applications are deployed or updated. **Recommendations to others considering Sophos MDR:** Do yourself a favour and subscribe to MTR, I genuinely cant recommend it highly enough. **What problems is Sophos MDR solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a small IT Team that takes IT Security very seriously but operating in a lean manner means that we dont have the manpower or resource available in the team to be as proactive with threat response as we would like and certainly no time available or skill set in house to be able to carry out the forensics sometimes needed when something malicious does get on your network. Sophos solves that for us by providing access to a specialised company set up and skilled in how to deal with cyber security issues 24*7*365 which we can only dream of for the cost point. ### 16. With MTR Advanced, we are able to dial in and speak to a threat hunter at anytime to conduct a headless threat hunting. This has helped us a lot when we saw any new vulnerability release on the news but unsure of what to do. **What do you dislike about Sophos MDR?** Since Sophos MTR service was just launched a couple of years ago, the reporting is still pretty basic even though the threat hunting service is great. The default report will not be sufficient to create a proper security incident report. We will have to speak to the threat hunters directly in order to get additional information on the attack. **Recommendations to others considering Sophos MDR:** You may reach out to Sophos support for configuration best practice to jump start your deployment. **What problems is Sophos MDR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sophos MTR is solving our threat hunting and responding requirement. As cyberattacks become more prevalent, we do not have sufficient budget and manhour to respond to all cyberattacks promptly. We cannot expect a member of an IT team to be online all day every day to be ready to respond to a threat - especially on the infrastructure that runs our businesses. The fact that I have a second set of eyes on things that will actively engage with a threat to my infrastructure is a great comfort when I am busy with day-to-day operations or god forbid; a holiday! **What do you dislike about Sophos MDR?** I do take some issue with the fact the MTR team does not accept support issues and just refers you off to the standard support team. My assumption is that for the price tag you would get a more elevated support platform holistically rather than half and halfing the support model. Also, the ability to drill down in reports is a bit frustrating when you need to find data on an issue or behavior fast. But this is more SOPHOS Central rather then MTR **Recommendations to others considering Sophos MDR:** Confirm that the MTR is required as the cost vs Intercept X is a big jump **What problems is Sophos MDR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Another set of eyes! Being able to just focus on operations and delivery and not spend so much time in the weeds looking at logs and hunting for possible threats really frees up my time and provides our risk team great comfort that I do not need to be on deck all day, every day! ### 18. Therefore we increase our collaboration with Sophos and employed the Sophos Rapid Response Team and the Monitoring Team as well. Without this, we wouldn’t have been able to cope with the massive attacks that followed. The 24/7 Rapid Response Team was constantly there for our questions, they were patient to explain and help whenever we needed it. Without their help, we would not have been able to deal with all the problems that crashed onto us all at the same time. They showed us which priorities we had, which the greatest risks were and which deficits we still had. The Monitoring Team guarded our infrastructure around the clock and helped to make sure that our IT team got the necessary breaks. By now we have reached a point where all known security risks are closed and only minor improvements and optimization is necessary. **What do you dislike about Sophos MDR?** We should have known earlier about this service. **What problems is Sophos MDR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sophos has helped us to stay in business when the pure amount of attacks would have crashed us. Its very good that i get security advisory per Mail from the MTR Team. The Dashboard has a lot of information for me and my colleagues. The MTR-Team relieves the internal IT-Team significantly, since you no longer have to look at all endpoint logs. **What do you dislike about Sophos MDR?** Activation/Implementation after purchase, no german support contact person, no chance to open a ticket on MTR Webinterface with a option to select the maybe infected computer(Sophos Central - not ideal: currently only per E-Mail) **Recommendations to others considering Sophos MDR:** If you can't do it yourself, take the MTR team **What problems is Sophos MDR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sophos MTR relieves us of the constant checking of the Sophos Endpoints logs. In general, the cyber-security suite performs well against continuous threats to our organization and offers us a centralized overview of this data in a highly efficient manner. Responsive support services. **What do you dislike about Sophos MDR?** Support is not always able to resolve critical issues on time. For example, a resolution has not yet been found to detect niche viruses. There was also an occasion last month where a back-up firewall failed to operate as intended, and we had to bring in external specialists to find a way through the problem. Sophos support had failed us on that occasion. **What problems is Sophos MDR solving and how is that benefiting you?** The products - Sophos Antivirus & MTR have been fairly straightforward to install, deploy and operate. The cybersecurity infrastructure pretty much runs itself and provides real-time, dynamic updates on all connected devices across our network. We have been able to stay protected over the long term, despite a few issues related to niche virus detection and backup firewall device(s) during the last few months. The teams are very responsive to our requirements and troubles and go out of their way to ensure our issues are well looked into. Overall, our experience has been fulfilling. ### 24.
