Real time alerting is major drawback like no features to send alerts to teams channel also the interface looks rusty to work. **Recommendations to others considering SolarWinds Kiwi CatTools:** Yes **What problems is SolarWinds Kiwi CatTools solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since we have wide range of network devices it has the aptness to implement changes on the whole in the network. It is simple and easy to use. Backups are quick. The GUI is very basic and not very flashy. The use of a "fat client" makes this product not as appealing. It makes backing up and restoring configs to my devices super easy and has allowed me to offload the task of configuring switches to other staff members. **What do you dislike about SolarWinds Kiwi CatTools?** The GUI is very basic and not very flashy. You can monitor several different types of equipment, Cisco, Windows, and many more. With Kiwi CatTools you can setup a report to ping the device on quarterly intervals or setup a custom time to run the ping report. You can also setup a report to run an environment check and have it sent you an email with the results from all devices. There are several different options to choose from on monitoring and keeping an eye on the equipment. I would recommend this product to all company that have several different locations. Excellent monitoring tool. I am not sure what else to say here, this is a great tool and has saved me many hours of work, which has saved the company money. **What do you dislike about SolarWinds Kiwi CatTools?** the program does tend to lockup and freeze machine that it is installed on. Other than that there is not much to say that is bad about this software. Would recommend that you deploy several instances of this software if you are planning on monitoring more than 170 devices. Having more than 170 devices on one instance causes the program to lock up and crashes the operating system and and the software. **Recommendations to others considering SolarWinds Kiwi CatTools:** USE IT!!!! This is a great tool but create a server just to host this software. **What problems is SolarWinds Kiwi CatTools solving and how is that benefiting you?** Closely monitoring the up status of equipment.
