I work with Softeon Warehouse Management System as a system analyst at a 3PL company. I like the flexibility for picking strategy, which allows us to use different pick routes depending on order types and priorities. This adaptability helps us create waves for different warehouse layouts and equipment types. I'm particularly fond of the Mass pick process because it makes the picking process efficient and fast. Additionally, I appreciate the BMS system's ability to produce billing invoices for each client within the same base system. We recently transitioned from another WMS to Softeon; the biggest reason for this change is desiring a more intelligent and regimented system. However, the difficulties associated with an intelligent and regimented system are plentiful! Establishing a strong foundation of good data and integrations. Ensuring all parties are addressing all levels of the business. Reviewing current processes to assess where the system should be enforcing specific steps of the process, and what processes should simply be changed.

One of Softeon’s greatest strengths can also be a weakness at times. It is a strong system that will force users to follow the established workflows with little to no options for work arounds. However, this makes dealing with exceptions rather arduous at times; requiring either an extensive process flow for exceptions, or creating a one off systematic solution for handling exceptions.
