What do you like best about Smile.io?

Smile.io is one of the first apps I integrated into my website hosted by BigCommerce and I've loved using it the last few years. The ease of integration made it one of the first apps I used when I built my website. It helps with customer engagement and retention since they are able to sign up, earn, and use their accumulated points so easily. My products are on the high end of cost and not a product that is used often meaning customers may not purchase from me more often than once a year even! But with Smile.io, I have noticed a lot of return customers which is very important to me in my business and industry! They also have excellent customer service when needed and I plan to use Smile.io for many years to come! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

What do you like best about Smile.io?

Smile.io is incredibly intuitive and easy to set up, even for someone without technical expertise. The ability to customize the rewards program to align with our brand is fantastic, and the variety of reward options—points, referrals, and VIP tiers—makes it versatile. The platform integrates seamlessly with our e-commerce store, and customers genuinely enjoy using it, which has boosted loyalty and repeat purchases. What do you dislike about Smile.io?

While Smile.io is excellent overall, the pricing structure can feel a bit steep for smaller businesses, especially if you want access to more advanced features. What do you like best about Smile.io?

The program is easy to set up and I like the way the app sits on our POS and lights up when the customer has a reward to redeem. I also like the way that customers can discover ways to increase their points value online. I have this app set up so that our customers can subit their birthday on the app and then they receive a birthday points reward on their actual birthday! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

As with all paid apps, all of the benefits probably come with a more expensive version. Also, I feel like there may be more that I could be doing with Smile, but I don't have time.

Feature suggestion: Adding customer identification numbers so people can provide their number at the cash instead of having to give us their full name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Smile.io?

The value of any app is only as good as it's support. The smile team is not only an expert in the software, but also in loyalty strategies and best practices. They can help you avoid pitfalls and ensure you are going to meet your business goals. Loyalty programs can be very complex, and it takes a few months of data to see how a strategy plays out...the Smile team can save months of testing and learning through their education on best practices and implementation. Super easy to implement and use. I look at performance weekly and make changes to marketing based on the data I'm seeing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Smile.io?

The customer service at Smile.io has been great - when I've messed something up, or something has gone awry, I just email them and they respond fairly quickly and confidently fix the problem. I depend upon this app every day, and it is easy to go into the back end and see new customers, and to adjust their loyalty points based on orders they may have made outside my shop. What do you like best about Smile.io?

The integrations for smile.io with the main ecommerce platforms and email managment platforms is one of the best. Its super esy to set up and let your customers start being rewarded for interacting with your business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The cost jump between plan levels is really big and there is minimal differnece unless your on a shopify plus plan. This is the only disapointing elements of smile.io Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Smile.io?

The seamless integration with Shopify. It's one less thing that I have to remember to do or keep tabs on since it is self sufficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

I do wish the leap between package levels wasn't as big as it is. I personally don't use all the bells and whistles to justify jumping to the next level ... but would still like to have the basic operational tasks like manually removing or adding points even though I've hit a certain customer threshold. What do you like best about Smile.io?

Our customers appreciate receiving rewards for their brand loyalty. We also had very prositive feed back on our birthday rewards which are made possible through Smile. We've been able to grow a large repeat customer base due in no small part to the loyalty program. Their customer support has been great the 2 or 3 times we had to contact them. What do you dislike about Smile.io?

I don't like that you have to upgrade your account level to gain access to better reporting. As a long time customer, we've been lucky to have been grandfathered into one of the older plans. Having to pay extra charges to receive a better look at how the app is working for us a little disappointing. This should be intrinsic to every level of subscription. The same is true for the promotions option. We've used Smile for years now (since around 2019-2020) and it would be nice to see a company such as theirs reward the people who stuck with them through their growth years. What do you like best about Smile.io?

Smile is a fantastic entry level loyalty program platform which is incredibly easy to set up and get started with in no time at all. Their support team is always quick to respond to queries with genuinely helpful answers. Good integration with our email platform as well. Overall the value for money feels great. What do you dislike about Smile.io?

In future we'd love to be able to move away from the widget style format which seems to be the only way for customers to engage with the program at present. E.g. instead having a dedicated page URL with the same interactions available as the widget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
