I like the personalization features, and different widgets (real-time weather content blocks) the dynamic content, so the content changes / updates when the customer opens the email, not when it was sent. Easy to use interface, with a message builder and drag and drop functionality. Good deliverability. The support was lacking for a while, as they had a restructure and the account manager left, however, this issue has been resolved. I hope they did learn from their mistakes and are better with regards to this in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This works well when you have a large quanity of data to use for data mining and link it to the associated email package.

The WYSIWYG email designer is good with the ability to save blocks of content design to pull in for emails linked to the data held in the system.

Some of the functionality was add ons and not necessarily obvious that they had to be purchased

Data mining required an extensive level of work - I got the feeling that this was because it was normally done by SF for their clients and not seen as something the client would do themselves

Smartfocus is a very good CRM tool. It allows us to make our site dynamic and different for each client, based on their preferences and previous browsing on our page. It also allows for dynamic email campaigns, where, although it is the same campaign, the content is different, based on the client's location and previous purchases they have made with us. Additionally, it is very easy to use and implement campaigns, such as welcome campaigns. The editor is very user-friendly, allowing you to create a piece by dragging and copying blocks of text or images, and for the more advanced users, it also allows for editing pieces through HTML. Despite the fact that it is very easy to use the platform, the integration with the website became a bit complicated. Additionally, it allows very little management on our part regarding the creation of users and fields in the database.
