The console is not user friendly and the platform is very non transparent. The smartword usage is not clear with 5 different numbers showing in different parts of console with no clear definition. You can definitely expect to run into billing issues if you are working within a tight budget.

Not clear and transparent with how and where your smartwords got consumed and therefore you would quickly exhaust smartwords and need to upgrade or are forced to live with broken customer experience for your product.

Support would not give you a timely response but sales would simply ask you to upgrade.

You need to make code level changes to accomplish not translating certain phrases and also the formatting gets quite broken for certain translations.

The plans look more affordable than competitors but the catch is smartwords are not really smart. The same phrase gets counted repeatedly across multiple pages and they do not mention this clearly anywhere.
