I joined SlideShare to initially add some company marketing material to my LinkedIn page, it was a quick sign up process and was very easy to upload my presentation. if you have created a large powerpoint presentation often its a FTP or multizips to get it to a client.

The best thing about SlideShare is honestly just the SEO benefits of having an account and posting some the old PowerPoints you've created.
