Very easy to navigate. Simple, yet infinite possibilites to create. I use this program pretty much every day and have ease in using it with other programs like Revit. Have never needed help or support, everything is very straight forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can crash if archive is very heavy, need to be patient with letting it open. The normal Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of modeling in 3D and the versatility in workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to see more optimization and speed, especially in Layout. Also, Sketchup has lost some ease of use in recent releases, such as a lesser optimization of inferencing points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Intuitive modeling that makes it easy to try different design ideas and to clearly see the relationships in 3 dimensions. I use it on an almost daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having to log in frequently. Sometimes I have trouble getting it to snap to the right spot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the SketchUp warehouse. It's so easy to pull selections I have already made from the warehouse and use them to show what my design would really look like. I also loved that when I reached out for help, the customer support was quick and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the downside is that it takes practice to be able to understand how to use it properly. But it is helpful to have the tutorials to teach you how to use all of the features available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no limitations on the modeling - anything you can dream, you can create. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With all of the freedom allowed in the software, it's sometimes easy to get "lost" in the model - to ensure it's viable, or even that you're correctly oriented among the axes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sketchup is really fast and fairly easy to learn, considering its range of features. It is my preferred modeling program. Plus, it's a lot more fun than CAD! I love working in SketchUp! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm an architect, so ultimately, I need deliverables. Since I am a Pro user, I have LayOut. It is sooooo slow that it is a burden to use. It could be made into a great companion in many ways, but Trimble has put precious little effort into it. I hate working in LayOut! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Geo Location. I can draw a project right on the customer's property. I even draw in the existing buildings to add realism. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the Geo Location images were a little clearer. It seems the quality went down after Google sold it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really enjoy how easy it is to make a model to explain to my team how to assemble different projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like some of the changes when the new versions come out that change how the software works after years of using certain features (ie. line tool now has to be held down to draw rather than the start/stop point being clicked) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
