Very powerful you can do so much with sketch up Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The learning curve is slow. The tools don't always respond the way they should and finding out why can be fustrating and difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How easy it is to extrude surfaces and push and pull forms to create desired shape. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How it looks pretty animated and not as realistic as i would like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Warehouse of products is amazing. And I can add more to the warehouse for myself and other users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So much to learn...not sure if thats a bad thing though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy flexibility to push and pull shapes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of compatibility with other tools. Difficult to extract 2D linework. Fussy about anything with a curved/complex surface. Virtually impossible to implement a standard workflow. TOO flexible (i.e. impossible to make changes in Sketchup and have them reflected in other tools like Revit) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
SketchUp's ground-up modeling system from line to surface to solid makes it quite easy to manipulate and edit objects. Sketchup is fairly good for more basic designs; extruding volumes and creating planar objects is usually pretty smooth. The plethora of extensions and downloadable models found online is also nice to have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can be hard to get used to, and modeling with curves is pretty limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simple to learn, rewarding to master. Probabaly one of the easiest modelling softwares to pick up and learn, but can offer a great amount of versatility to those who dedicate enough time to learn the ins and outs of the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
User interface is increasingly outdated by modern standards. It's unthinkable that the interface looks and functions in the same archaic way for 10+ years. I get that it needs to be familiar to longtime users, but it's getting ridiculous. Update the icons, update the finnicky Trays system, and give us a dark mode! Update fonts and design language across the board to match the new 3D warehouse, for instance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Minimal learning curve, easy to create basic designs quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes tool sets are limited for more advanced and detailed design work. Importing files from outside CAD and modeling software can be cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
