## Sketchbook Reviews
  ### 1. Creating sketches and graphics has never been so much fun

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edward B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Sketchbook is in contrast to other programs much more user-friendly and therefore easier to use. Even a non-professional user can create good and precise graphics in a very short time. The menus are well structured and you will find the tools you need quite fast and intuitive. Unlike other programs where you have to search for them for a long time.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The lower price of the program and the increased usability come at a certain cost. Sketchbook does not provide as many features and special tools as more professional applications like Photoshop or the free alternative GIMP. However, I have never reached the limits with the program. More sophisticated users maybe will reach the boundaries of the program.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

Sketchbook is a great program for semi-professional users. If you need a lot of tools and variety of setting possibilities, Sketchbook will reach its boundaries quite fast.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick creation of sketches or graphics for annual reports, websites or presentations. The user-friendliness was the decisive factor, the program had to be easy to use, and yet provide many options for adjusting the brushes etc.

  ### 2. The best and worst sides of Sketchbook

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nina S. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

SketchBook Pro is a completely free program available for both Windows and Mac OS computers, Android and iOS mobile devices. If you are interested in digital painting, one of the good applications to start with, for example compared to Adobe Illustrator, sketchbook pro is much simpler. Also, the process of watching a lot of videos and learning complex programs can be frustrating, as I said, it is quite enjoyable to start with.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The Mac version is very successful for beginners with its clean interface. But I could not find a solution to the problem that the undo last button from time to time stops working on its own. I hope any solution will be found for this.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

The biggest advantage of the program is that it has the highest quality writing quality on a software basis and also has a version that will work on almost every platform, pc, phone, tablet. With this application, you can experience digital drawing very close to natural drawing, making it an ideal tool for all kinds of illustration, drawing and sketching.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autodesk sketchbook program is a very detailed drawing program. The quality of the software is as important as the quality of the hardware such as the pen and the screen. One of the best software is using this program and pen features to the fullest both in hardware and software. Autodesk sketchbook program is one of the most advanced pen-supported programs. Perhaps the best choice on the software side of pen writing quality.

  ### 3. Great tool to do quick edits to images

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kloe W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It's just really intuitive to use and works in my iPad as well as my Mac and Windows machines. Originally got it for my son in his iPad but got to like it after seeing his creations, I remember installing it on my Mac when it became free in 2018 and tested it for a while. Since then It's my goto program whenever I need to highlight something in an Image for work as well as for drawing with my son. Great little tool for image creation and editing.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

You need an account to use it, why? It works exactly the same for everyone since there isn't a paid version anymore. Why the need for an account to use it? I still love the program but since there are not cloud or online functions that I'm aware of It's just something to set it once and forget.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

It's the most intuitive image manipulation software that I have used so far and I don't plan to use any other soon.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating images and editing them it's easy and free

  ### 4. Great for design sketching and ideating!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan L. | Industrial Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Sketchbook is perfect for creating digital sketches whether you are an illustrator or industrial designer. The interface is not overwhelming at all and makes it easy to start using right away. You can feel at ease when you play around with features and discover what the total package can do. When you start advancing, you can begin to check out more advanced features like creating custom pens and drawing tools. I find it works best with a Wacom tablet for desktop for the best experience.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Not much to dislike but I do wish the Ipad experience was a bit more fluid. I would say this program is more suited for a desktop experience rather than a mobile one.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Today we are using Sketchbook to solve our Industrial Design digital sketching needs for creating concept sketches and renders for conveying ideas to our stakeholders an external customers.

  ### 5. Fun for yourself, not for big projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I like that Sketchbook is great for those ideas that you have off the top of your head and need a quick app to jot them down. It gives you enough colors and tools to accurately share your ideas or remember them for later. I like how sketchbook has a Desktop app version if you want to take your work to a larger screen. I like that the sketchbook app has different types of paper to use as well.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I don't like that Sketchbook has limited functions for creating. You have limited brushes and sometimes you need just the right brush to expand your idea. I also wish the user face was easier to use when working on my art. I like to be able to pull colors and brushes without it interrupting my creative thought process.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love to use Sketchbook for quick ideas that I want to jot down without going to my desktop. It helps me with all the tools I need to lay a framework or an idea quickly. Its easy enough to use without getting super details. Its handy app on my iPad makes it really easy to use. Its also great for note taking in meetings and sending those files to a more "finishing" app like photoshop. Sketchbook is light and easy and great for sketches and notes!

  ### 6. Sketching for dummies (with Sketchbook)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda D. | Interior Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It is very user friendly and I could do trial and error to figure out what to do without causing any problems to my work. My daughter and I also work on the same project since it can be opened from different devices. I also like that you can choose different canvas sizes.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I can't always figure out how to use some of the features but my daughter is capable of it all.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

Extremely user friendly, my 12 year old is better at using it then me. I know it may not have all the applications of other programs but for sketching, it is extremely useful.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not the greatest sketch artist but this makes my art look beautiful and I like that I can use it instead of drawing by hand because it allows a wide range of color options. I really feel like I have all my Prism markers available.

  ### 7. Great for sketches for semi professional use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurence B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

The program has a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate and to operate. All the different brushes can be easily adjusted and fit all my purposes. The menus can be changed in the language you desire and the manuals are also available in a lot of different languages. There are no problems while interacting with the drawing board. The ruler and perspective tools are also really useful for my needs.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The program does not offer that many features as other professional tools such as photoshop or mangastudio, but is also more affordable. I also wish there would be more shortkeys available.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating sketches for short comics and graphics for flyers and webpages.

  ### 8. Quick and easy way to edit images in MacOSX

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

For a network professional like me that sometimes needs to point the features of a model, like the console port or where to put the SFP for the fiber optic it's a real time saver circle a photo and put a "here" with an arrow, with Sketchbook that takes literally like 30 seconds, so paste that into an email and done, we humans are visual so besides being faster for me it's a lot easier to understand. It's a great add-on tool for my main job, quick, simple, and easy. It's way better than my old way of doing things.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

For some unknown reason, this requires to register an account. I'm never going to use any online function with this software so no real reason, still I like this a lot so it's just a minor annoyance.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

It's free, light, and quick. If you need to light edit some images on MacOSX on a regular basis this will do the job just fine. No need to make your life hard with a bunch of features that you don't need.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick editing photos and images.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bai C. | Sales Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

As the name says, it's good for making sketches, I have been always really bad at drawing, but I used to carry a notepad with me to sketch, but not anymore, I just use this to make my notes with my drawing tablet connected and save it. That is good for the planet too, no more trees getting killed for sketches I need to do once and are going to be discarded anyway.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I don't see why it's needed to have an Autodesk account to use the program, It's free but still I don't like to login into things unless it's really needed.

I like it a lot because for me it is the app to design whatever comes to my imagination, and the best thing is that I use it from my cell phone. The platform is one of the most complete to elaborate any artistic work, and this is thanks to the wide range of brushes that allows me to manage from the platform to create different sketches and drawings.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

What I really do not like is that in order to get all the brushes, and to be able to enlarge the canvas I must cancel extras and they are somewhat expensive.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

I recommend them, because if they like to draw and design as is my case they will be very helpful. Since it will provide a high range of brushes, apart from allowing them to work with layers, it has a very wide interface, and the best thing is that you can use it from your Phone or if you prefer on a tablet.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me a lot since in my day I am always busy, and creativity can invade me at any time and wherever I am, I always have my cell phone in hand, so if a design passes through my mind I simply open the app and start my Sketch, since it gives me a wide range of brushes, allows me to work in layers, has many tools and a wide interface.

For the things I need it's just perfect, nothing to complain about except for needing to create an account to use the program, they already have my apple ID, why asking to create an extra account if it's synced to icloud anyway.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

It's free and easy to use, a must-have if you need to do light edits photos or images.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Editing and highlighting points in photos and images

  ### 27. Good application to draw

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It actually uses the Macbook touchbar in a useful way, besides the office suite and safari all other programs either ignore it or has generic icons, it has the pencil feature right there so it's easy to select and use it.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I'm bad at drawing, but that's not Sketchbook fault, actually I think this is great all around.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

I think it's the best free app for drawing in MacOSX

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opening screenshots and highlighting things that need to be redone, missing or could be improved.

  ### 28. Professional illustrations in instants.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason C. M. | Graphic Design Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I love this tool, as a designer, I always look for a tool where I could make my imagination, there were no limits, here I can develop all kinds of drawings, at different types of scales and dimensions, which allows me a greater precision, in strokes, where you need an absolute match, the workspace is one of the features that stand out from this application, I think it's the first I've used, which takes advantage of all the space on the screen, where only what is really necessary is shown, for the work that is being done, in this way, we show the tools that we use in specific for each job, and the others are hidden to take advantage of a better visualization of the project that is being carried out, another point of note of this tool is the speed of work that counts, is not like other design applications, which are very slow for any job, here the speed with which all the characteristics of this work tool, make it indispensable, to perform all kinds of creations, which require little time, and require great precision.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Although I have been in the graphic design world for a while, when I started using this software, I felt a bit frustrated, since I did not understand how to use the characteristics properly, to make perfect strokes, it became complicated for me, and the combination of images, with drawings made by hand was somewhat complicated, to import and export images, it is also complicated, that only with time, I understood, despite being an application, that it seems to be a bit easier to use, that other similar design, at the beginning, it will always cost a little work, understand its operation.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

Very good drawing tool, to perform all kinds of jobs in less time, taking advantage of a work space, better distributed.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can have more freedom at the moment of making any type of design, which helps me enormously, at work times, in other applications, which limit me to certain spaces and characteristics, I lose time in any design, no matter how simple, here I can perform precision projects in less time, which improves my productivity in the company, for any type of work.

  ### 29. An effective drawing tool for professional work.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gregg J. | Industrial Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Simple to use, very useful and efficient for the design in general, a tool with free drawing resources well calibrated and executed, I find it very interesting its flexibility for digital drawing and the possibility of inserting images to trace design corrections on them without No difficulty, it performs very well in desktop and laptop devices which facilitates its use from different computers.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Although it is very well developed, the available resources are limited when it comes to editing and creation of more technical sketch and design that is being revised, it does not have a superposition of layers or schemes of organization of the interface by more dynamic groups and components that allow favor the designer in a more complete and comprehensive work for the professional area.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

It is important to note that it is a tool with free digital drawing resources, it is not a software for design with measurements and 3d or 2d modeling in a technical and professional way, it is a resource that complements the designer and is very useful when working with a graphic tablet that facilitates the manual manipulation of the drawing to obtain more precise results and with an acceptable appearance when it is required to share the information generated graphically in the software.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Specifically, its purpose is to be a support tool for free digital drawing with easy, fast and safe access to work efficiently on some simple design schemes that are just beginning in the development of the design.

  ### 30. Bringing Sketching from Paper to Digital

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt C. | Youth Minister, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I love the fact that I can draw DIRECTLY into the program. I have taken full advantage of layers and putting layers into different folders so that I can isolate image groups easier and move them or transform them. There is a plethora of tutorials online via YouTube and elsewhere. I love the various ways to transform art in it. I utilize the transparency lock tool a great deal so that I can transform only what I want to transform. There are a ton of custom brushes that have been made which are available to download.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

There is very little that I dislike. Sketchbook sometimes has issues where a weird dot or line is placed and then I have to click undo to remove it.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

If you have a tablet or even better something like Microsoft Surface Pro with full pen capabilities, I would highly suggest this product. The fact that they made it free is amazing and makes the opportunity for those looking to break into digital media even easier!

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to create background images for postcards or promotions in Sketchbook. I have also been able to create my own clip art or illustrations for various print and online media.

It is easy to make comics with sketchbook, and the free version has all the perks. I like the ease of use when it comes to blending colors and using the right colors.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

There is nothing that I dislike about this program

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

You should really give this product a try! It is easy to use and the copic pen colors are helpful for a quick reference of what colors go well together which saves time on color decision. The large variety of brushes, pens, pencils, etc give me the ability to change my style if I wanted. Thank you for making this app free to use! This product works well with any tablet. This is is a good starter product for beginner graphic artists who like to paint and draw.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When it comes to business, I make most of my artwork on canvas rather than a graphics program, I am using sketchbook for advertisement and business card creation.

  ### 35. Portfolio Review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Sketchbook can be used with Windows OS!! I can sign-in anywhere!

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Dislike the limitations. Many uses of this app. Carrying it on Windows OS, or Android, finding constraint in communication.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Line work is challenging. Finding myself shifting from ruler to pen often, then color. Detailing is done very well, but not as private as software like Photoshop.

  ### 36. The perfect program for digital illustration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

If you are a designer or illustrator, this program is essential. It is a very good program for digital illustration and has many positive features.
- A very well-designed interface.
- The program does not take up much space in your computer's memory.
- It is available for Mac, PC, and digital tablets where it is fully utilized thanks to drawing on the touchscreen. The desktop version is almost identical to the computer versions.
- This program has more than 190 brushes, including several with all kinds of textures, ideal for creating all types of illustrations and textures when drawing.
- It is compatible with JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, and PSD formats.
- Now it is free, which is greatly appreciated since you don't have to pay the monthly fee.
In short, as I said, an essential program for designers and illustrators.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The only downside is that if you use it on Mac and PC, you need a graphics tablet to make the most of the program. And you also need to have some idea about drawing.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

For professionals and not-so-professionals, illustrators and designers, I consider it an essential program, as it is free, has a large number of brushes and textures, and is available on multiple platforms, allowing you to use it everywhere.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This program has solved many problems for me when creating drawings because its large quantity and types of brushes are ideal for creating any texture you desire and any type of illustration. Unlike Photoshop, where you have to buy types of brushes separately or download them.

  ### 37. Creativity Unleashed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** chris b. | VP Human Resources, Government Administration, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I've had Sketchbook for a couple of months and I'm still tip-toeing around. There are some amazing features with the software, enhancements which free up a lot of time without sacrificing your creativity. The interface is very clean, brushes and palettes are easy to access, and the 'mirroring' feature is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Some quick how-to demos within the program would be helpful - there are options available online (YouTube), but it'd be good to have assistance without having to go 'off the reservation'.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

It might take a little while to get used to, but I think Sketchbook for Enterprise has some amazing potential. I'm barely scratching the surface of its potential and find it very useful - someone with greater artistic or creative skills than I have will really enjoy exploring this program!

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketchbook is a very good companion piece to Pixlr and Canva....Sketchbook can provide that little bit of a 'bump' to make a marketing piece really pop.

  ### 38. I loved it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I liked having various brush tools to choose from and the program was easy to use from the first try. And ITS FREE!!! Who doesn't like free stuff?

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The app freezes and won't let me zoom in or out and I have to save my work, then close and reload the app. For it being free, it's not a big deal.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

For a free sketch app, it has many features you could find in Adobe Photoshop and much more!

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has great functions, its easy to use and I can use Copic colors for my designs.

  ### 39. very useful application for specific jobs.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julio Alberto A. | Gerente de proyecto, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It does not require to be an experienced in drawing applications to know how to use it efficiently, it works in different devices which is very useful for urgent work in which a sketch is vital to express an idea.
In the branch of architecture, applications like this one are really useful for designing quickly and forming an idea or explaining a specific aspect of a project.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

You must have an intermediate or high domain over drawing to get a result away, otherwise the application will not be useful to you, the tools are still very limited, they could have more functions and options that allow you to improve the appearance of the voices as well as not has more formal tools that allow you to measure distances or depths, so you must have a very good drawing technique.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

It is advisable to have a pencil for devices since it will make the work much easier to have a better result, depending on the work you want to do you must consider the device you plan to work on, the most advisable is a large tablet since the work will be more easy, if you want to get great results very professional with this application is possible but you must spend a lot of time to have the technique and experience to perform an impeccable job.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Although it is an application of informal drawing is very useful to get a quick result when correcting or explaining something in an architectural project, the possibility of having it in different devices makes it easy even to solve a problem at a distance and very fast, to draw About a photo is a great tool, it is the most used because it is used to indicate and indicate that and how to correct something in the project.

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I like you can do multiple projects at once

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

It takes a while to get a good understanding

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marking up photos in the field with comments and solutions

  ### 41. It’s a good program and it’s FREE!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I love how realistic the brushes feel and how many options come right out of the box! Great value

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I don’t like how you can move your layers around

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use sketchbook for personal use, just learning digital art

  ### 42. Useful for conceptual work in a retail environment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ed H. | Chief Marketing Officer, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Sketchbook is the most intuitive drafting software application that I've used. I can use it to quickly render a conceptual idea for, for example, a new display fixture in our showroom and work out the design digitally in a way that's easy to modify and share. This is my starting point before a 3D model in Sketchup.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I actually don't have anything that I dislike about Sketchbook Pro. It is a fantastic drafting application. If there's anything Autodesk could do better for this program it would be some better (by better I mean visual/video) help resources describing some of the specific tools. But there are lots of 3rd party videos and tutorials that the user cna track down if they have time to do it.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

Sketchbook will not replace programs like Photoshop or SketchUp, but is rather an additional tool that makes workflows including these other programs more efficient.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sketchbook to create drafts of display fixtures in a flooring showroom environment when we're looking to set up a new area or design. I use it for a variety of other sketching purposes rather than paper and pencil since it enables me to skip the extra steps of multiple sketches and then scanning and organizing images.

  ### 43. Fun Tool To Practice Drawing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

The ability to draw with a stylus pen right onto the screen. The ability to undo or erase back one line or brush stroke at a time. I really enjoy the ability to zoom in the screen to draw in the details and then zoom back out.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Not being able to access the saved art or work from another source. The sometimes sensitivity of barely touching the screen and it zooming or changing angles.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

Easily to use and is compatible with Android and Apple products. The tools on symmetry are really good when trying to eye the distance of the objects on a screen vs paper.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Front desk signs and coloring sheets for the residents kids are made with ease.

  ### 44. Portable illustrators

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rocelin C. | Asistente contable, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

The Android versions allow the artist or draftsman to draw drawings and sketches wherever they are. The variety of brushes, the fact that the canvas is digital, and that you can draw lines as you wish, is great. It keeps its color palette quite varied and has different options to add layers, in addition to having mobile and computer versions.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

You cannot add external images or drawings, you cannot export the strokes to other design programs because they look pixelated.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

A more extensive test version, in the mobile version, decrease the size of the icons and allow adding content and external images.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The versatility I need when designing or making a free drawing, I have ample space for drawing.

  ### 45. It's like Photoshop but for drawing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brooke R. | Child Care Monitor, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I love the different texture brushes that make it easier for me to add texture and effects to my art in an instant rather than drawing it all out on my own. It has all the things I would use on Photoshop for my art work, but with so much more. The copic color option, is amazing! I use copics for my traditional drawings and now I can enhance my already colored drawings that I scan onto my computer with the same copic colors to make it into a digital piece of art.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I dislike very little about the app, but if I had to choose, there is sometimes a glitch where it forces me to pick a color on my drawing when I am in the middle of swiping some color onto the drawing. Other than that, I have no problems. This program is really just an amazing product that I am proud to be a subscriber to.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

Definitely try the free version out first! Try the premium trial, you won't regret it. If you are an aspiring artist, this is a must have program!

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As being an artist for my second job, I am able to easily organize and actually do my commissions in a digital format very easily.

  ### 46. Sketchbook great for fleshing out ideas, not really for serious art styles

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Insinuative, quick learning curve. Great tools amazing GUI

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I wish you could mix paints in it as right now its best colouring feature is copics

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

Yes for quick sketching and practice

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Product design sketches

  ### 47. Easy to use, very userfriendly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I have the upgrade version and I use it to make ton of my art. I like it because you can get it on your phone and tablet as well and draw where ever you feel like so. It's easy and simple, you can download tons of brushes, I've never had an issue with this software.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I use a Wacom tablet and whenever I start the software and it opens on my tablet, it won't let me zoom out for some reason. I need to move the window to my computer screen, close the program, and re-open it, and then move it to my Wacom screen.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to use another paid software and I felt very limited. When I tried Sketchbook for the first time, I was surprised that I had so many choises, they also give you tutorials on how to do certain things.

  ### 48. An Illustrator's companion

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert R. | Naturalist & Editorial Illustrator / Ilustrador Editorial & Naturalista, Translation and Localization, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2017

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

The charismatic name (Yes, the name!) Sketchbook Pro, with its the clean, welcoming-to-art, no-nonsense interface with all the tools you need in the right places for instant access. All the drawing and painting tools with an intuitive learning curve. The very fast way of moving in and out of your artwork with handy shortcuts. The overall look and feel without copying others, that matches an illustrator's work environment whether digital or traditional. Its integration with tablets and phones with its own apps. I use it with my wacom tablet as this is, of course, the minimum necessary to harness its main drawing features such as pressure sensitivity and the lines you draw, but you can do a lot with a mouse too if you must. It is also great for black and white art, line art, comics, inking, the works!, which you can begin or finish your work in CorelDRAW/PhotoPaint, Krita or PhotoShop too, if you like.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The recent move in which you can no longer own the software, but only use it via "subscriptions" that must be renewed every year as Adobe and others are doing. I'm an "old timer" and like to own the things I use and not be bugged further. There should be an option for those who want to "work in the cloud" and those who do not, to purchase what they want and update when they want, with advantages for longtime users. That would be an honest and professional way of doing things, in my opinion, and that is why I have regretfully ceased using it fulltime, having declined from the offered subscription mode after a disappointing and bothersome experience to have it completed from my country (Brazil). It might be different for other users, of course.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

Use it as an artist, though friendly, it is not intended for the curious to just dabble and solve some momentary or frivolous art need. Perhaps the subscription mode discourages those who would not use it seriously. However, If you're like me and happen to come accross the last legit standalone version, (I think it is 7.0.1 of 2015), purchase it, install and be happy!

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like to have it around as one of my professional tools of the trade. In this sense, I can illustrate whatever I want with it, though admittedly I have not explored everything that could be done, keeping mostly to my line of work, but I intend to learn more as I have more time to spare.

  ### 49. Simple and easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It's super practical, perfect for quicker sketches and drafts

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Could have more options for brushes, or more customizable tools menu

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast work flow

  ### 50. Awesome user friendly art software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arianna C. | Freelance Concept Artist, Individual & Family Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I love how simple it is to use, more so than Photoshop. The user interface is very appealing and easy to understand at a glance for me, something I look for in painting software.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Nothing I can point out that I dislike really, don't expect much photo manipulation, as this is more tailored towards painting.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

If you'd like a program that's simple for beginners to pick up on and yet still useful for the more advanced bunch, look no further than Autodesk Sketchbook. Even the pricing is reasonable in comparison to its competitor, Photoshop.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have created quick design mockups (using the phone application) and full fledged concept paintings in Sketchbook.
