## Sketch Reviews
  ### 1. Every Visual Designer NEEDS Sketch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

I absolutely love Sketch for any and every type of visual design. For the price, you get a whole lot with one tool. It's not as deep as the Adobe Suite, but let's be honest most people don't need that kind of depth.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

I really don't dislike anything! Sketch really meets all of my expecations and needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Take advantage of the free trial. It takes a little to learn how to use the tool, but it'll be a huge time saver once you figure out how to use it.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketch allows me to quickly and easily design visual assets. I also use it for prototyping websites.

  ### 2. The best software for UX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maud G. | Co-founder and non-executive director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

I liked how user friendly it is and intuitive. I've never needed to switch to another software it has got everything that I need.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Perhaps the lack of tutorials, it would be nice to have an Integration to allow to look for tutorials from the app

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to create mockups of websites really easily

  ### 3. Easy, straightforward and useful tool for UX designer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

I like how straightforward it is to build the structure of the website and mobile app. Instruction is very clear and not confusing at all. This software thinks extra for me sometimes when I have to measure for pixel perfect.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

I know this app is mostly for building the outline and putting things together rather than designing the image or creating the logo, but I wish Sketch has more resources to be able to create visual designs, too, so I don't have to go back and forth between Adobe products.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

If you are thinking about building something quick to communicate with other designers, or just starting out as a web/UX/UI designer, start simple and easy with Sketch to learn how to work around the grid, space and wireframes! It gives users so much freedom and space, and instruction to play with our creativity!

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me time to build the simple wireframes or simple sketch to review with people. It is quick and easy to play with, so very helpful for multiple iterations and presentations as well. It helps to keep everything aligned and organized.

  ### 4. Most convenient tool for designers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is very easy to use and convenient. Definitely a big step up from Photoshop

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

What I dislike about Sketch is, it does not have collaboration capabalities

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketch helps me design screens at and the various plugins make using Sketch even simpler

  ### 5. Great web design tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

I love the ease of use of Sketch, the necessary functions are all there and easy to navigate for quick work.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

I wish there was the ability to export designs in lower qualities for first drafts/ideation rather than using plugins to get around this.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketch is used for web and email design and it is super easy to share with developers and stakeholders using Zeplin as an added tool.

  ### 6. Sketch App Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chrystal Y. | UI Designer, Broadcast Media, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

I like that Sketch is very simple and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Sketch doesn't have photo or image editing features like Photoshop does

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to make wireframes and UI on Sketch. The benefit is that theres a lot of resources for sketch online and I can create wireframes and Ui much faster than on Illustrator or Photoshop.

  ### 7. Sketch is great for individual work, not for collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Simple interface with clean minimal UI. Ability to create symbols is awesome

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Cannot collaborate with team to make screens or get live feedback on screens

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

End to end product problems. Great for wireframe or low and high fidelity prototyping

  ### 8. Sketch is great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Intuitive interface, the ability to create symbols/Sketch libraries & the integration with platforms such as InVision and Marvel

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Sometimes copy pasting a symbol will duplicate the symbol rather than placing that symbol where you needed it

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have realized the benefit of having a rapid prototyping tool to be able to quickly show teammates and stakeholders designs

  ### 9. Great UI Design Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali A. | Senior Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is a great alternative to the Adobe Universe. The pricing is a huge draw, although I use both Adobe Products and Sketch–Sketch is much more geared towards UI design. Asset export is a strong feature as well as the ability to add plug-ins.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

It takes a little getting used to when you've been accustomed to Adobe UI for so long.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating wireframes and UI mockups.

  ### 10. Use of sketch for web

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudia C. | Desarrollo front-end, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

The best thing about Sketch is that it is a very intuitive program, easy to use, and has a very clean design. It allows you to divide your work into workspaces, thus making it easier. It combines functionalities from other vectorization programs with color and editing from design programs. Additionally, the use of components greatly facilitates the work. Also, being able to export code for later programming.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

The main problem is that only Mac users can have it, not Windows, Linux, or others. Another disadvantage is that when it comes to vectorizing figures, it doesn't have the precision of other more specialized programs and restricts you in certain functions.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

It is highly recommended in web design because you can create a sketch quite similar to the real thing and then it has many tools and functionalities that allow you to easily export to code. You increase productivity.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sketch to design interfaces and with the plugins, I handle the use of different screens, that is, the navigation. This way, the application can be brought closer to reality, much more than a line mockup, for example. With the export of components, their use is easier when programming the interface.

  ### 11. Best design kit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

I love that with Sketch, you're able to basically get everything done as a UX designer. You can mockup, prototype, and even link screens. The ability to preview them in a specific size is great. A great thing I love is that I am able to easily create symbols and then reuse and modify them, so then I don't have to recreate items.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

I dislike that there aren't many animations. There are only about 5 and even then, the animations don't work that great. Something else I don't like is that if I have more than 10 pages in a file, the file gets too slow to open.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Make sure to create symbols! They are a life saver

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Sketch, I am able to create seamless designs and flows, in which I can provide business stakeholders what they want and need. I am able to easily see many screens at once, and also easily share with others. There is almost no lag with this app, and the saving happens very quickly. It is also very easy to open up a file.

  ### 12. Sketch review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is a great tool for executing from low fidelity and high fidelity mockups with ease and flexibility. I also appreciate the various plugins, and the symbols are great because it allows me to create templates and makes my workflow efficient.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

I wish there was a web version where multiple designers can work on the same file.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User experience design. Great tool for any wireframing purposes

  ### 13. Sketch is the only design tool you'll need!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

It doesn't matter if you are a freelance designer or work for a huge agency. Sketch can do it all - from branding to wireframing to app design layout. One of my favorite things about Sketch is how intuitive it is to use. Compared to all of the legacy bloat of competitive products, Sketch is a breath of fresh air. Also, the component capabilities in later versions have totally revolutionized how we produce mocks.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

I love everything about the product itself but feel like I am frequently getting charged for updates. I have become quite used to free updates (thanks Apple) and it just feels like it is a model that might be reconsidered. Other than that, Sketch is the only design tool we use.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

If you are looking for a design tool that is feature-rich, yet simple-to-use - look no further than Sketch. It can do everything that the other products can. It is perfect for the single freelance designer/developer all the way up to big agency teams!

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Sketch to design countless brands, websites and mobile apps. The best part of Sketch is its fresh take on what a design tool should be. It is very cost effective when compared to alternatives and it is constantly being updated with better features (which has become an expectation nowadays). Also, Sketch's compatibility with dozens of other products makes it an integral part of our toolset.

  ### 14. It's alright

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

It's ease of use. I used InDesign for years and the shortcuts I learned from it work in Sketch, which makes me very happy. It's easy to manage multiple artboards in it.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

I wish it was more intuitive. To my knowledge, it doesn't have the ability to create interactive prototypes yet, which might be its biggest downside. It'd be nice to be able to create wireframes and interactive prototypes in it.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Make it more intuitive and add interactive prototyping features.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly wireframing. It's kinda pricey but not too bad compared to other softwares.

  ### 15. Absolute favourite app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Soham M. | Sr. Vice President - Product Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Every interaction designer's dream tool. Super fast and the file sizes stay small as well.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

The in-app prototyping is not that great yet but getting better day by day.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I design day to day mobile app and websites with this.

  ### 16. Best UI Design Software Around

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is by far my favorite design tool. It just works so well for everything, even small things like resizing or cropping. I learned everything I needed to know in 3 hours and have been off to the races designing apps ever since. On top of the very easy to learn Sketch Software is an entire ecosystem of apps and plugins that triple your productivity. Plugins like Craft from Invision or Angled by Design + Code have done in seconds what once took me hours.

Also important thing to know, Sketch is vector based, that means everything looks clean and crispy no matter how large you make it. This helps immensely when you are exporting assets, which they make very simple and easy to do. No more hunting for far away menus, it's all right there in the bottom right.

Sketch is great on it's own, but it's the plug in eco system that makes it irreplaceable.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

It is a small team so there are always some annoying bugs that you'll run into from time to time. Sometimes it's deal breaking, but restart of the app or your computer usually does the trick and as they've grown up I'm noticing far fewer of these issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Look into the plug in eco system, it's what makes this product so amazing.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI / UX design, Website landing pages, Illustrations, Logo designs, basically my entire design work flow except for picture editing is on sketch now.

  ### 17. When it works its awesome

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deanne C. | Design, Research and Consulting, Research, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

The price is right and it runs faster than Illustrator. Importing files is simple.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

To be fair, more recent versions may be improved. However, using it 2014-present I've run into loads of bugs with this program. For some reason, certain files will have features just not working at all and it slows the workflow to a crawl. I have to be very Zen about it. The results look good at the end of the day if you make it through.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sketch for UI and graphic design. Its the main program I use for this because of the affordable price and speed. The quality is probably improved in the recent update so you get a good product with clean typography.

  ### 18. Best current alternative for Ux/Ui

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

It’s easy to use and integrates well with InVision for Rapid Prototyping.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

There are some minor bug sometimes, it’s a relatively new software, so that’s the downside of it.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for creating wireframes and high fidelity mockups. It’s quick and easy to get something that you can create a click through to share a concept.

  ### 19. love this application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

I love how simple sketch is to use. its interface is clean and easy to understand. it's powerful but not too complicated. it really does accomplish everything I need it to do. Great for web and mobile layouts Sketch keeps us designers accountable to pixel perfect layouts. It leverages grids, snap to grid functionality, and snap to pixel functionality so you never encounter half-pixel renders or imperfect alignment — critical in a world of responsive design/multiple screen sizes and resolutions. Symbols PURE GOLD! Interface designers reuse multiple elements, from navigations, to buttons, to icons. With Sketch, you can set symbols, reuse them throughout your design, and when you modify the master symbol, that modification automatically gets rolled out across your designs.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

the only negative about sketch is that some of the more complex features are harder to use. it's not as fully loaded as adobe illustrator. for shape manipulation it can be a bit of a struggle but there are work arounds. Limited illustration - not going to design a logo in Sketch While Sketch is great for mobile and web interfaces, it isn’t sufficient for creating custom logos, complex illustrations, or in-depth print designs.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

definitely use it. it's not great for shape manipulation but it's overall fantastic

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am constantly solving business problems and providing with them design solutions for their applications and websites. I have been able to provide business with new and updated designs and experiences using sketch

  ### 20. The tool you never knew you needed, but cannot live without.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

The UI is pretty simple and intuitive. I like that I can do almost everything I used to do in photoshop but now everything is vector. it's easy to share and collaborate with my teammates as well.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

There isn't really much I don't like about it. integration into the prototyping world like adobe UX and others are would be nice - but might be distracting.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to illustrate and prototype quickly, and create vector graphics without expensive products like illustrator.

  ### 21. Great UI tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert P. | Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Ease of use, very quick and efficient work with multiple artboards, with performance that would be impossible in adobe photoshop.
Source files are all vector so their size is very small , offen just a few KB, usless you use some photos in your graphics.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

They are releasing a lot of update , which is nice but it sometimes mess up your documents, especially text styles and symbols.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster and more efficient UI & UX prototyping and following development.
Yoour teammates can work with you designs even if they don't have strong design skill, because Sketch its really easy to use if you are famillliar with other mac os apps.

  ### 22. Android developer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Easy to convert all design part for applications

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Need to looking for 3rd part plugins for it

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help mecreate good android applications

  ### 23. Love it so much, the shortcuts are just simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grace X. | Founder, Freelance Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Love it so much, the shortcuts (e.g.: O for Oval, T for text, R for rectangles) are just so simple to use. Love it!

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Photoshop can do a lot Sketch can not.. like the selection and crave the background function.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Love it! It is a must-have!

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketching Logos, Icons, wireframes, and etc. All in one! It's just so awesome, plus you can put plug in which modify and customize the app!

  ### 24. Web & Mobile Layouts Made Simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily M. | Senior Product Designer, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch makes designing web and mobile layouts simple. It's got a great set of tools for creating pixel-perfect designs, turning them into clickable prototypes, and even testing them on your phone with Sketch Preview. I love working in this tool every day.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Sketch, like any app, does have a few minor flaws. I don't particularly like how the program handles color profiles, for example. The frequent updates can be a bit annoying, too.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

I really think Sketch is heading in the right direction. It seems to get better with every single iteration. If you need a tool for creating layout designs, this is the right choice!

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team and I use Sketch to create and test layout designs. Sketch makes this easy and saves us considerable time over Photoshop or other design tools because it's made for this one purpose.

  ### 25. Industry standard, but exclusive to MACs.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Setting up the text styles to use for later! Also having symbols and buttons ready, as well as having the artboards and pages. Really helps me visualize everything. It also has a great integration with InVision, making prototyping very fast.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

My biggest gripe is that it’s for Mac only - it’s 2018. How are we still only developing things for one software? Also, I personally didn’t find Sketch super-intuitive to learn, but I was stuck in the Adobe realm for so long, and all my shortcuts are muscle-bound.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

If you’re a Mac user and do a lot of web design or app design, go for it. Try the free trial! Allow yourself to spend time watching tutorials before you jump into it, especially if you’ve spend most of your time in Illustrator & Photoshop. Sketch is a powerful program but very, very different.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketch is pretty affordable (especially compared to Adobe pricing), but the biggest thing is how fast you can build a site or app design, and quickly build up a prototype for testing.

  ### 26. Best way to mock-up websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary Jo S. | Web Designer & Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is so simple and easy to use to create mockups of websites and other design needs.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Sketch would be better if the exported images were compressed more so they allow a site to be quick speedy

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The need to quickly mock-up websites without all the bells and whistles of something like photoshop. It’s great I can focus on the ui of the site vs figuring out the tool to do so

  ### 27. Excellent solution with lots of integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Ease of getting started is high, it's affordable and whole teams can use it to quickly prototype and ideate. It's solid and extensible.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Only MacOS, which limits its possible adoption. We would love to use it more widely, but people who are on PCs can edit the files. That's a big downside.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Sketch is a great trendsetter, but it has been partly usurped by Figma. Figma is browser based and platform agnostic.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rapid prototyping and sharing of concepts. We also use Sketch as a proxy to photoshop, allowing us to quickly produce production-level graphics for websites without having to juggle 2 programs.

  ### 28. Sketch is Really Almost Perfect

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor B. | Senior User Interface Designer, Internet, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

I use Sketch for most of my interface design work. It's a great tool for designing sleek, responsive applications. I love the options for creating symbols, which are almost like a programmatic approach to creating reusable design elements. It makes designing interfaces that stay in sync easy.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Sketch is almost perfect. I say almost because there are bugs introduced about every other week since they update the app so frequently. Most of them are pretty minor, so this is a smaller issue than it sounds like, though.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Sketch is extremely helpful for teams who need to move quickly and build designs and prototypes. You should check it out.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sketch to create designs for our iOS and Android apps. The program has helped my team and I streamline and speed up our design process. We love it.

  ### 29. Greta tool for high-fidelity mockups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex S. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is a powerful tool that has unlimited possibilities. You can create anything from scratch or start with a beautiful template found online.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

The learning curve is a bit steep because sketch has so many different tools.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I build various mockups and wireframes to show clients potential product solutions

  ### 30. Sketch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayesha S. | Junior Designer, Design, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is really neat because it lets you take your illustrations to a new level

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

I don’t like how there are some limitations in it, there could definitely be more cool new tools to use

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to illustrate way faster and create gorgeous work!

  ### 31. Sketch is Best Design Tool Available. It's not priced that way.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg G. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch has an amazing community, fantastic interface, and a relatively low learning curve. Its wide adoption means that Apple puts out interface elements that work in the app, but it's startup-like company means it is priced MUCH lower than its competitors. I use it 6-7 times a week. I love it.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

It's Mac only, so while I have never had an issue with that, I could see it be limiting at some point.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

If you're a student, Sketch has a $50 deal. It's great, you should get it.

Just so you know, that gets you a year and a half of updates. After that, you can use the app for as long as you like, but it won't update. ($50/1.5 years is like 10 cents a day. it's worth it)

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing and prototyping different ideas before actually launching into them.

  ### 32. Sketch is the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

The best thing about sketch is the control you have of your work

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

There isn’t much to dislike when you can do so much

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Just use it, it’s great

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing prototypes and mockups

  ### 33. I use Sketch almost exclusively now...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha R. | Senior Designer, Automotive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

I use Sketch for the vast majority of my day-to-day interface design work now. It's become my go-to because it's so streamlined for creating quick layouts. The tools for creating and editing shapes and turning them into repeatable elements are fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Sketch doesn't come with all the bells and whistles you might be used to from Adobe's design apps. While this is mostly a positive, it can sometimes mean you need to think a bit harder about how to create certain types of elements.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Sketch is a solid choice for day-to-day interface design. As long as you don't need to do something extremely complex, you should be in good hands with Sketch.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sketch to create interface designs for our car OS. It's a really good way to iterate quickly on designs and prototypes.

  ### 34. It helped me avoid a lot of design mistakes before writing single line of front code

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomáš S. | Managing Director & Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

The ability to stack Symbols together and easilly change apperance.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

I am missing only windows port, co I can cooperate with my colleagues. (or cloud based, whatever).

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Try it. It is worht it. If you do not have Mac computer, go and buy one so you can use this software. Seriously.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing product websites and designing photography portfolio websites

  ### 35. Easy to adopt and use tool for digital design

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch has been incredibly easy to learn and adopt within my team. I like that there isn't a ton of hidden functionality, you can customize your toolbar and keyboard shortcuts, and with plugins you can handle everything from animation (Anima) to developer handoffs (Zeplin)

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Sketch is not suited for print design and it's a drag to have to move back to Illustrator or Photoshop. There are some plug-ins and tricks to make print design projects feasible, but they don't always work for the project at hand. Having some export settings that traditional tools utilize like crop and bleed marks would go a long way.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Watch some of the Tuts+ videos if you're a novice

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating efficiently with the dev team and quickly designing and exporting assets. Sketch saves me considerable time over Photoshop or other design tools.

  ### 36. Simple to use!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shen G. | Experience Design Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

After having used Photoshop, Illustrator & Adobe XD, I have to say that Sketch is really the best tool for creating digital assets from web to mobile design. While you can still create the same designs using Photoshop, with Sketch all the tools that you're likely going to use is laid out in the open for the most part, no need to hunt for them inside a tab inside another tab inside another tab. I especially love the "fill" option for even .PNG images where I can easily convert a black icon to another color, provided it has transparency.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Exporting SVGs can get a little wonky sometimes so I'd just make sure to use Illustrator instead when you're doing this

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'd say the biggest benefit is probably creating assets / prototypes quickly and efficiently

  ### 37. Great Favorite Design Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paige W. | Graphic Designer, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Tools are clear, and provided in a rational and really tidy style. The knowing curve was high when transitioning from Adobe items, once you have the ability to align your frame of mind with Sketch's workflow, you can advance quickly.Once you master the workflow, you have the ability to achieve some quite innovative things.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

They've been a little sluggish to respond to market modifications and are setting themselves approximately get interrupted similar to they did to Illustrator. Often import and export renders some unanticipated and odd outcomes, triggering me to browse the web for the ideal response

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I utilize Sketch mainly for work/business. It has actually accelerated my style procedure greatly. Efficiency is fantastic and it synchronizes with a great deal of other programs that I utilize in addition to sketch.

  ### 38. Production Artist

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2019

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Nothing in particular. I know it is now being compared to Adobe XD

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting quick turnaround, recurring requests templatized for clients

  ### 39. In a word: AMAZING!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faith G. | Senior UX Designer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is an amazing tool for designing web and mobile layouts and prototypes. Like Adobe Illustrator, it's vector-based, but unlike Illustrator it's streamlined specifically for layout tasks. It's got tons of shortcuts for things like creating a default iPhone layout and the unique "symbols" approach makes building design systems a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Sketch updates so frequently that I always feel a bit out-of-sync with the app. Often these updates are just bug fixes, but it's a bit annoying. Still, it's a pretty small gripe.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

If you design apps or websites every day, you should use Sketch. It's far better than Photoshop or Illustrator for these tasks.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sketch as my primary tool for designing web and mobile layouts. It's an amazing app that streamlines this process beautifully.

  ### 40. The best UI Software

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

it is much, much, much simpler than Adobe Illustrator. If you are trying to learn to vector, or wireframing websites, this is the best tool.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

They update often, but stuff always breaks with the update. i wish they did mroe QA testing before rolling out updates

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

much less intimidating than illustrator. Easy to learn and powerful tool

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We love diagrammingwith sketch, as well as creating vector assets

  ### 42. Great tool which over time became too heavy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

It has completely changed my workflow over time and greatly increased my speed

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

It became too heavy and freezes a lot if you work on a large project

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

If you have just started your design career you better start learning other tools like Figma or Framer

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Doing user interface design

  ### 43. Sketch for mockups

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

It’s great for quick mockups and fairly simple /easy to learn

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

The software is very buggy, requires plugins and has limited options for prototyping

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Get another tool for prototyping

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketch is good for flat mockups and wireframes

  ### 44. The best user interface tool, bar none

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica D. | Senior UX Designer, Internet, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is amazing tool for designing beautiful user interfaces. I love how simple it is to choose an artboard for your form factor and get going with shapes, symbols, and more. It's an excellent tool that every UX/UI designer should use.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

The Sketch team moves so quickly that there are frequent updates and changes to the product. In general that's a good thing, but sometimes it means that plugins I rely on are broken. This gets really frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

Seriously, if you're still designing layouts with another tool, you need to check out Sketch. It's amazing!

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sketch to design layouts and clickable prototypes for our web and mobile products. It's an amazing tool that totally streamlines my workflow.

  ### 45. Decent app for what its worth

UI vectors

  ### 46. Design for digital

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caleb H. | VP of Product, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is design software rethought through the lens of creating digital products, and seems especially relevant to modern frameworks like React. What I mean is that in the same way that you build components once and use them everywhere, Sketch allows you to design that way. You can create components (they call them symbols, similar to Illustrator) and then use them all over the place. When you drop a symbol into a design, you can use overrides to swap out text or nested symbols. The result is that you start thinking about your design in a way that helps inform development.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

It took me a while to get the hang of how to get the most out of it. For example, how to properly create nested symbols in a way that makes the end component super reusable, or how to name symbols in a way that folds them into sets.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I pair Sketch with UXPin, I can easily create and update prototypes and interactive mockups for app development. There's a plugin that pushes directly from Sketch into UXPin, so I can create a prototype and then update it with a button click (not even losing my interactions in UXPin). Brilliant.

  ### 47. Great Software that continues to evolve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Simplicity in the interface, and it knows what it’s purpose is

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Wish the prototyping feature was more fleshed out

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick wire framing and hi fidelity mocks

  ### 48. The best MAC alternative to Adobe Illustrator.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

Sketch is a lot more affordable and easier to use than Adobe Illustrator. It's very straight forward.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Sketch is only available for Mac so it is not as universal as Adobe Illustrator. Adobe has maturity and universality over Sketch.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

If your work doesn't require you to use PC, then Sketch is a great alternative to Adobe Illustrator if you're a UI/UX or graphic designer.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketch helps speed up the web building process through its plug-ins. With sketch, you can streamline repetitive tasks.

  ### 49. Sketch - an OCD designer's best friend!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristina Marie C. | Senior Web Designer and Developer, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

As someone who likes both design and code, Sketch is the easiest way for me to be pixel perfect without having to actually develop. In using other programs, it's always been "close but not quite" and it had been easier to just half-build already before handing it over to the programmers.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

I dislike the amount of prompts there are to update. It would be easiest if there was a way to just allow automatic downloads instead. I also feel the preset artboards for device widths aren't as up to date. I also don't like that you can't sync it to the cloud for versioning

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

It's always worth to try new programs to compare and contrast the same workflows and processes you have so that way you either find new ways to improve or you reaffirm how effective your current product is.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems we're solving is being able to create clean and quick designs that can be used for rapid prototyping. We're also able to have the designers on the team use the same software so that we can easily collaborate and switch between projects when necessary

  ### 50. Great lightweight Product with best user interface.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Sketch?**

The integration with cross platform apps like zeplin, slack works best to make team aware of what is going on.
The Versioning is one of the best things in the tool, where you can track on what all you have done for long.

**What do you dislike about Sketch?**

Nothing to dislike.
Does the intended job.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketch:**

This is great for starting as a beginner and then taking it next step to advanced levels.
Great tool for prototyping and previews.

**What problems is Sketch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with cross platforms was the biggest thing the software provided.
We can directly get inbuilt codes for other languages.
Eg. you can create a vector and get the gaussian path for the swift language and paste that in xcode for effects.
