What do you like best about Simulink?

Simulink provides a lot of functions to synthesize and simulate input and output characteristics for engineering students. A very important tool for Engineering and Tech students in the fields of Communication, Electrical, and electronics engineering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Simulink?

The Software is quite difficult to understand and has only specialized functionalities. Also, it is not open source and is quite an expensive making it even more difficult to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Simulink solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have studied many Engineering subjects in my college and simulated the input-output waveforms and studied behavior in Simulink. It is a widely used Industrial tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Simulink?

Simulink is a tool used for Model-Based Design. It is a graphical editor for modeling all components of a system. It is used in industrial automation applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Simulink?

The complexity of block diagrams used in Simulink can increase drastically as the number of components increases. The license needed to use this is quite expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Simulink solving and how is that benefiting you?

Simulink is advantageous in solving non-linear problems, which a transfer function is unable to solve. Initial conditions can also be taken on in Simulink and it can be used for continuous test and verification of embedded systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Simulink?

I like MATLAB Simulink because it is very user-friendly. To visualize a signal, we use Matlab programing language, and sometimes it becomes a bit hard for many people who are not well with programing language. From that sense, MATLAB Simulink needs your inputs, and then your design will give you the output for you to visualize it. It is far better than doing code line-by-line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Simulink?

I do not dislike anything. It is a bit tricky to grab the interface for the first time. But there are available sources and Matlab Simulink tutorials to have a good grab over it. So, if anyone faces any problem finding any specific block, they can search it in the Simulink library and can easily find it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Simulink:

You may have a python interface to work with signals, but Simulink is a visual representation of the work. If you are comfortable experiencing a signal with your eyes first and then work accordingly, you can use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Simulink solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am solving the hardship of writing codes after codes to generate a signal and manipulate it. Matlab makes my life easier when I try to do signal processing works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Simulink?

Simulation is very effective and very easy to do. The output are mostly close to the actual theortical result. Simple modelling is part is very efficient. Like when you just need to create a simple model and demo it to someone quickly it is very helpful. In some cases solving complex differential question is also very helful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Simulink?

The resulted output somtimes are very far away from actual system. The system error i get are very unfriendly and is difficult to understand. The multi domain simulation though feasible is not very helpful as it is a bit cumbersome. The tool options are a bit unfriendly and takes a time first time to search the various options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Simulink:

It's a great simulation tool but be prepared for some hiccups in the beginning as it will take some time to get used to the interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Simulink solving and how is that benefiting you?

i try to solve differential equation it in for my part time job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Simulink?

Model based simulation environment. Huge library with built in blocks that makes model development very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Simulink?

If running on a pc with average configuration it gets sluggish quite often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Simulink solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am using simulunk to develop complete vehicle model including energy management control startegies for hybrid and electric vehicles, transmission control etc. Over the other simulation tools which i have used in the past doesn't give ability to implement the non-conventional control strategies. Matlab Simulink I am able to test some advanced and still development energy management strategies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
