When we do maintenance, we’ve had to come up with a workaround where we add a separate maintenance charge. This is because SIMPRO charges per type of equipment, and once you factor in travel and everything else, that approach doesn’t work very well for us. As a result, we have to run a secondary spreadsheet to track the hours allowed on these sites and move them across.
It would be ideal if you could set up a site routine—for example, quarterly with 4 hours allowed, or annual with 6 hours allowed. We’ve used systems in the past that operate this way, but SIMPRO seems to work per item of equipment being maintained. We haven’t found a way to handle this within SIMPRO other than relying on that secondary spreadsheet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
