We evaluated quite a few BI platforms before choosing Sigma. I also have used many of the bigger names in the space. There is nothing out there like Sigma when it comes to the ease of connecting to data sources, the ability to quickly generate fully functional dashboards in a fraction of the time it takes with other tools, the amount of powerful Excel like formulas at your fingertips, and the ability to write data back to the EDW without needing a DBA to create tables. You won't need to write SQL or Python within this tool. You could, but you probably won't. I normally prefer writing my own SQL, but with Sigma I don't miss it at all. You can perform joins and link tables with vlookup like functionality. Oh and it's very fast and can handle millions of rows of data with ease. Also their chat support is fantastic. Best all around BI tool on the market IMO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's hard for me to find something I dislike, but I suppose their license model could be refined to delinate better between technical users and non-technical users, while providing enough functionality for the middle ground users. Make sure you understand the ins and outs of what each license can do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

All Industries run by Excel, but when we are in the cloud, Sigma is alternative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not yet to Savy as Excel and should also be able to crate a Single Page Web App for Data Referential activity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In my time using Sigma Computing, I've been particularly impressed by its cross-platform functionality. This feature has streamlined our internal data delivery processes, making collaboration between teams smooth and efficient. Externally, it's been a game changer for report access. Regardless of the device or operating system, stakeholders can effortlessly view and interact with our data insights. The seamless integration and adaptability mean that our insights are always accessible, consistent, and up-to-date. For someone keen on efficient data visualization and sharing, Sigma Computing is genuinely transformative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very few times have I run into issues with using the Sigma Computing UI but when I have, these problems have been centered around occasional lags that hinder fluidity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sigma is very easy to learn if you are new to building dashboards. The live customer support is very helpful, knowledgeable, and quick to respond (within minutes). Sigma is easy to implement and integrate into your existing solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The number of "nice to have" features is fairly limited, however Sigma is constantly adding new feautres. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The support team is absolutely phenomenal. Whenever I have questions about how to do something that's unclear to me in Sigma, they're super friendly and quick to respond to me in the live chat feature. They go above and beyond to check that I truly have fixed my issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI is difficult to navigate. Inserting elements and editing the text in them is not intuitive. It's weird to me that if you paste an element from one page to another, it pastes the data source along with it. The autosizing element stuff is also a little weird to me. I come from a Google Data Studio/Looker Studio background so I'm used to the UI there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I was surprised to see the responsiveness of Sigma in the projects I worked on. Unlike other visualization softwares I tried, Sigma allows me to continue working on different areas of my project while the data is refreshing on the back, or while it is applying the filters I create.
Also, even if the interface and functionalities are very familiar (some like MS Excel) which allows for a quick 1st interaction, I found extremely helpful all the tutorials created. For every doubt I had, I was able to find the answer I needed.
The support team is great, there was no delay in the responses, I received the help I needed and even recommendations to help improve the performance of what I was building. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The tutorials and help section have some screenshots or videos that refer to a prior version, however the explanations are correct and easy to follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the new layout feature. It's gives a lot of flexibility in terms of sizing elements and adjusting spacing between elements.
I also love the new KPI feature Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Spacing constrictions:
I wish I could set the margin for my workbooks instead of small, large & full
As much as I love the grid, I would love to adjust the grid size myself
Font flexibility:
Inside elements I can adjust the font size at a pixel level but for text elements I have very limited options.
Is there a way to set heading, para sizes as part of the theme?
Adding formula to text within elements:
When I add text to charts/KPIs I would like to include a formula in the title name like I do when I add text to the pages.
Would be nice to have tooltips instead of adding text to provide context to different sections on a page (wastes page real estate) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

User experience, ease of use and visualization capabilities Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some limitations surrounding linking datasets coming from different sources/connections even if they have a unique identifier Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sigma is incredibly easy to use from both a technical and non-technical perspective. My non-technical stakeholders love it because it looks and feels like excel or google sheets. And it runs incredibly fast on top of Snowflake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not really a downside as there are other tools that do this much better, but Sigma does not have its own sematic layer so I need to rely on dbt or some other tool for a semantic layer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
