"Simple to Navigate, Effective User Moderation"
5/5
What do you like best about Sift?

I use Sift at work to moderate users' accounts and find it simple to use and easy to navigate. It helps me analyze user behavior and fraudulent users effectively. I really like that it can show me other linked accounts with a user by using various data to connect them. The initial setup was quite simple, and I would highly recommend it as it does the job well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sift?

The map where it shows the user location is not always the easiest to zoom in on. Maybe more demos on how to use it in different ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fraud Prevention and Fast, Confident Risk Decisions"
5/5
What do you like best about Sift?

Sift is especially helpful because it detects and prevents fraud in real time, verifies user identities to help maintain account integrity, and delivers actionable insights and risk scores that enable businesses to make quick, informed decisions. It also reduces operational burden and strengthens overall trust across the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sift?

Some downsides of using Sift include the risk of false positives, which can end up frustrating legitimate users. It also relies heavily on accurate input data, and any issues there can affect the accuracy of its scores. In addition, it may have limited ability to detect very niche or newly emerging types of fraud, and for some businesses the integration can be both costly and complex. "Real-Time Fraud Prevention That Protects Good Users—with a Strong Product Mindset"
5/5
What do you like best about Sift?

What I like best about Sift is how it turns a really hard, high-stakes problem—fraud and abuse—into something actionable in real time. The combination of strong machine learning, massive network data, and a clear focus on trust means the work has very tangible impact: it protects businesses and keeps good users from being punished by false positives.

I’m also drawn to Sift’s product mindset—practical, customer-centric, and built to scale—plus the culture of collaboration across engineering, data, and product to solve messy, real-world problems together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sift?

One potential downside is that working in fraud and abuse prevention means the problem space is constantly shifting—bad actors adapt quickly—so there’s ongoing pressure to evolve models, rules, and infrastructure at a fast pace. That can be challenging and requires a high tolerance for ambiguity and continuous iteration.

That said, I see this less as a flaw in Sift itself and more as an inherent trade-off of operating in a mission-critical, adversarial domain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very intuitive"
5/5
What do you like best about Sift?

How it learns from my choises and make decisions base of them. What I like most about Sift is how effectively it combines automation with actionable insights. It allows us to detect and prevent fraud early in the account creation process while still giving our team the flexibility to review and make informed decisions. The risk scoring, rule customization, and clear dashboards make it easy to understand why an account is flagged, which helps us act quickly and consistently while maintaining a good user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sift?

Nothing so far, been using it for 4 years. One area for improvement with Sift is that sometimes the system can generate false positives, flagging legitimate accounts for review. While this is understandable given the focus on fraud prevention, it can slow down the onboarding process for real users. Having more granular controls or additional context in the alerts could help reduce these cases and make the moderation workflow even more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sift?

Areas of improvement that I think are crucial: Enhancing the speed and accuracy of real-time data analysis helps in quicker detection and response to emerging risks. Offering more flexible workflows, customizable dashboards, and reporting tools allows users to tailor the software to their specific risk environments. Strengthening communication tools within the platform can help teams coordinate better when addressing risks. "User-Friendly Alerts with Clear, In-Alert Data"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sift?

User-friendly interface. The collected data is shown within each alert, and there are useful options available for working with alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sift?

The comment section could be more concise and provide better visibility, instead of having to scroll through endless comments on reviewed alerts. That way, tracking what has already been done would stay more organized and better grouped. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
